  1. Does anyone have or know how to generate SSDT for 3770K. I've attached AIDA generated SSDT tables if anyone can help. Running 10.8.2, SM-iMac12,2. So far I only get 16,35,39 but when I use SM-MP3,1 i get 16,17,18,19,20,35,39. Should this incrementaly (steps of one) go from 16->39 or is this correct? Also what are the correct PStates for 3770K? DSDT fixes for Gigabyte boards

It works! It still gets a hickup here and there but thats acceptable, althou I did notice that the CPU runs a bit hotter with your dsdt but then again i can live with that too Thank You! On a side note I would like to know what I did wrong with my DSDT

    DSDT fixes for Gigabyte boards

Which one do you sugesst for ML? Bios is the latest one FI (mobo came with it and there isn't anything after that), mobo is REV2.4. DSDT has been modified by me, also tried the auto-patcher but it just makes a mess of things with this mobo... As far as the IRQ thing well.. All the devices are fixed (HPET/TIMR/IPIC/etc.) althou I did notice that hpet and ide/sata are sharing irq13 so maybe that's the problem but I did try to resolve it but unsuccessfully, I've read somewhere that sata should be on IRQ14 but I have no clue as to how to force it from 13 to 14 (did try in bios to reserve IRQ13 but it did nothing) It is one wierd annoying problem.

    DSDT fixes for Gigabyte boards

Hi, I have GA-G31M-ES2L & Q6600 G0, I've edited dsdt, done everything properly (not the frist time nor mobo...), but I cant get rid of one problem the comp freezes when there is a heavy load on HDD & CPU eg. if I open Firefox, JD & Mail or copy two large files at the same time... so I've narrowed it down to SpeedSteping isue. Same thing happens under 10.6/7 and 8 which I'm currently using. Under W7 everything works fine, so it's not a hardware issue. As far as the extensions go I'm using AtherosL1c,FakeSMC,GigabyteALC88b6Ch and HDAEnabler. Chameleon Enoch-rev.2003. I've attached the relevant files DSDT/SSDT/cham.boot.plist, as well as unmodified files extracted with AIDA64. If anyone has any clue as to why this is happening I'd appreciate it. :-) Modified.zip AIDA_Extract.zip
  7. Hi I have 10.6.8 and this dsdt code Device (HDEF) { Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x0C) { "CodecAddressMask", Buffer (One) { 0x01 }, "device-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x3E, 0x3A, 0x00, 0x00 }, "MaximumBootBeepVolume", Buffer (One) { 0x40 }, "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "device-type", Buffer (0x12) { "Realtek ALC262" }, "PinConfigurations", Buffer (0x10) { /* 0000 */ 0x30, 0x01, 0x10, 0x90, 0x40, 0x00, 0x21, 0x01, /* 0008 */ 0x20, 0x00, 0x81, 0x01, 0x10, 0x01, 0xA0, 0x90 }, "platformFamily", Buffer (One) { 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } Anyone have Platforms.plist & layout.xml for this dsdt string that can be used with HDAWizard? The soundcard shows up in the sys profiler but it doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated since voodoohda is a poor solution because it somehow conflicts with my nvidia card... go figure :/

HDA Wizard - Simple tool for AppleHDA.kext

Got it to show up in system profiler with this code. Used layout262 & platforms files that you gave me but no go. What would be proper LayoutID? Would appreciate any help that you could give me. Device (HDEF) { Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x0C) { "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, "subsystem-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x42, 0xC0, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-vendor-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x4D, 0x14, 0x00, 0x00 }, "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x06, 0x01, 0x00, 0x00 }, "device-type", Buffer (0x12) { "Realtek ALC262" }, "PinConfigurations", Buffer (Zero) {} }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } Edit: ALC262.kext loads only from /S/L/E but still no audio, btw I do know how to edit a dsdt but in mine theres no hdef "string" so i'm pretty much in the dark here.

HDA Wizard - Simple tool for AppleHDA.kext

Can't get it to work... My dsdt doesn't have AZAL/HDEF string so i added the the one you gave me at the end of the PCI0 branch, next step should be figuring out the address of my audio... Here's what I get in ioreg when I load VoodooHDA: Any ideas?

    VMWare Fusion on a Hack?

I installed VMware 2.0 rc1 I had support for four virtual cores then I updated to final release and now I have option for only two VC's!? Did they drop support for four cores, or is it "serial" related or is there something wrong with my Hackintosh? It's a vanilla kernel runin' Q6600 with 2Gigs of ram and P35 mobo (btw everything worked great on rc1 and still does but no four core option only two). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks p.s. I think that it might be a serial issue but I'm not sure... *cough* *cough*
