LastExile, THanks for all of your hard work and Eps and the whole crew I gave up on my 2400HD I was able to barter for a 3650 which other than taking about a minute to start up on the grey apple screen, it works perfect and I can live with that! I used your installer and I was able to install FCE and iMovie etc full QE/CI.........Thank you so much
  4. ati radeon hd2400 problems

  5. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Let me guess Visiontek I have been trying desperately but no one responds to my posts I dont know either. I have literally gone through all the kexts and no dice.
  6. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Let me begin by saying that it is F**king Amazing! that you guys do this for all of us. How cool is that!! I think that part of the fun about all of this is meeting and sharing with people from all over. Its like a puzzle that we all help put together. But I officially need your help guys, can anyone of the thread elders give me and a few of us a hand with a visiontek PCI HD 2400 0x94cc on iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 a little light at the end of the tunnel? I have literaly gone through all the installers, kexts, edited the plists and reinstalled time and time again. I cannot find anything about this ID except what I posted and one other person ati radeon hd2400 problems, weird device id 0x94cc. Unfortunatey it is the only card that I have been able to get to work with my hardware see signature for specs. Since it is a server I have no 16x lanes I have a 4x and 8x lane which I purchased an adapter for and tried with various nvidia and ATI cards to no avail. I have tried various cards 8600 6200 9200 and some of them dont even display Video in the bios though I am sure this is because the onboard video in the BIOS cannot be disabled. So I am stuck with this card as it is the only one that allowed me to install OS X. Can any of the developers add this ID to their packages? or give us some direction that I may look into. At this point I feel that my poor mans mac is sliding away from me. I wish that I could just go out and buy a p45 motherboard and a 3850 with a core 2 processor but unfortunatley I cant have a baby on the way. WHich is why I am dying to get this working for iMoive and I photo etc....Which I cant do without QE/CI. Any and all help with this is trully appreciated.
  7. ati radeon hd2400 problems

Well, I did a clean install dual boot vista 64/iDeneb 1.3 with no video drivers and it loaded so thats were I am I guess until I can get ci/QE there is not much I can do. I cant install or run iMovie , FC etc... If you have any news please fill me in. What is up with it its like our stupid device ID does not work with any Kexts. This card is the only card that runs on this box Dell Poweredge 1800 I am screwed I guess. I even bought a PCIe Adapter and 4 video cards and nothing. Guess I am returning all the extra cards now except the 2400. Feeling discouraged.....
  8. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

I have a PCI HD2400 Pro(0x94cc), will the driver for the HD2600 Pro also work for the HD2400 pro intel platform? I am running iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 I have tried 6 tutorials and reinstalled like over 10 times I dont know how else to undo the changes to the plists etc... Any input would be great from any of you guys. Thanks
  9. ati radeon hd2400 problems

Check it out I did a -v boot and discovered that it picked up the card as an x1600. Remember I said that it look like it was a high resolution when I accidentally picked the X series driver so I did another clean install this time only selecting ATI X \1600 the same thing it looks like it supports the larger rez and gets stuck right before you get the desktop during the gray screen with the spinning thing. What I am going to do is mount the partition and edit the Plist and add the PCI ID and see if it will then boot normally will post once complete.
  10. ati radeon hd2400 problems

I have the same PCI is yours a Visiontek PCI HD2400 Pro I have tried everything the closest I have gotten has been with Ideneb 1.3 I selected the ATI X series driver and when the first boot is about occur the thing starts spinning and the apple looks very small like it is a large resolution but then it gets frozen. I am willing to compare notes and kexts etc....
  11. [SOLVED] 8600Gt 512MB DVI + VGA Is Dual Monitor Possible?

I have a 512 MB 8600 GT it shows fine in the BIOS but when the install DVD is about to start it blanks out any suggestions.
  12. I have successfully installed ideneb 1.3 on my Dell Poweredge 1800 2-Xeons@2.8Ghz/6GBRam it picked up all the hardware. The only problem I can only boot into the OS X if I leave the install DVD in the drive if not I get an error like the one below I know it is not exact but I hope someone out there can help me. GPT HFS+ boot error or something like that I have tried to use Gparted to set the partition active and then it hoses the installation and then I reinstalled and found some posts about using fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 p and I get Starting Ending #: id cyl hd sec - cyl hd sec [ start - size] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1: EE 1023 254 63 - 1023 254 63 [ 1 - 488397167] GPT 2: 00 0 0 0 - 0 0 0 [ 0 - 0] unused 3: 00 0 0 0 - 0 0 0 [ 0 - 0] unused 4: 00 0 0 0 - 0 0 0 [ 0 - 0] unused fdisk: 1> I then do F 1 still nothing I am so lost I am almost there but I am stuck ----------- [update] I fixed it it was all about the kernel I switched to 9.4 in the setup and it came up flawlessly.
