  1. I actually booted from the XxX disc and re-installed one USB kext and it worked ok. USB is working again!
  2. I upgraded to 10.5.7 and looks like I lost USB functionality again (I had this problem when I installed 10.5.6). I tried reinstalling the AppleUSB kext that worked with 10.5.6 and it still didn't work. Was your external hard drive a USB? My mouse and keyboard are USB and those work if they are plugged in before I boot. If I remove them and try to plug them back in they are not detected.
  3. Installare Lepard su Intel DP45SG

I don't speak Italian, but if you can ask your question in English or use a translator, I might be able to help you to install 10.5.6 on the DP45SG.
  4. I haven't upgraded to 10.5.7. Don't know if it's worth it, and definitely not worth the hassle if it causes problems. By the way I know what you mean by the mute button doesn't work. Pressing the mute button shows on the screen, but it doesn't actually control anything. The up and down buttons however do control the volume.
  5. Strange. I don't even have an Apple keyboard and the mute and volume up/down buttons on it work. They also work from within System Preferences.
  6. What mute button? Is this somewhere in the software or OS? I have a keyboard that has a mute button and volume up down and that works in osx as well as Windows! The volume is a bit low though.
  7. [HOW TO] Getting IDT Audio Working

True the volume is a bit low, but at least audio works.
  8. By the way to get audio to work on this board use VoodooHDA kext.
  9. [solved] IDT 92HD73E (DP45SG audio)

Yep just tried VoodooHDA and it works well!!

How did you get audio to work on this board? As for the memory issue, I didn't have that problem. Mine was recognized correctly at DDR3 1333. Certain installations have a kext that you can choose to set the memory speed. Did you try one of those?
  11. [HOW TO] Getting IDT Audio Working

Still not able to get audio to work, but I think I found the value that goes into IOPCIPrimaryMatch. I believe it is 0x3a3e8086. I got this by looking under the "High Definition Audio Controller" in Device Manager in Windows 7. Under the Details tab under property "Hardware IDs". I got it by concatenating the DEV ID with the VEN ID. It sounds about right, pun intended. As for giving your USB sound away, looks like no good deed goes unpunished. I tried adding the pinconfig in the configdata section of the plist, but still no audio. Any luck on your end?
  12. [HOW TO] Getting IDT Audio Working

Here's the codec dump for my audio from a Linux live CD, maybe it will help you out in the meantime. I will play around with this audio problem in the next day or two and let you know. codec.txt
  13. [HOW TO] Getting IDT Audio Working

I will take a serious stab at this in a couple of days. I am pretty sure I got the pinconfig part right, but there were a couple of extra keys in the windows registry. One of them was a key stating the number of entries and I forget what the other one was. I will take a codec dump from a linux live cd and see where it goes from there.

I used XxX 10.5.6. There's a thread here that gives you options you can select in that install that will get most of your stuff working. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=146119 Try that and report back, good luck.
  15. Again nevermind, I was able to find a USB kext that works on this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=149513 So it comes down to the audio again. I tried messing around with the IDT audio using the IDT audio guide. I even tried the pin config thing. Nothing works though. I will try and play around with it some more when I get time. That or until I break down and buy a USB audio stick since my USB works fine now.
