anyone !?!?! this is really bugging me :S

hi guys, i have same issue cpus=1 works and ive followed a guide to get it installed. however after the big green tick and i click restart, then what? i see you say i need to do cpus=1 again, but how do i do this, as i assume i am not supposed to start the setup from the cd again and i dont seem to get any options just straight into the apple loading screen. without the dvd in i get HFS+ partition error
