    I say - I think, not I rule out. There is difference (for me at least ). And because of that picture: It seems to me not very logical even from Apple - cut down bandwith for some moment and then restore again. I think (again) that if PM is broken, its is broken all the time, not by random base. And if PM is broken, then some more problems will come up. I don't see any other problems related to power management. I have too much computers, srry - I mistakenly give a wrong model and chip number, RTL chip is RTL8111E as I wrote initially. About stupid question - no, I don't know how PM causes a delay of few dozens of microseconds, when traffic goes thru GB switch to computer next of it... that's why I asked about. So, how that PM causes delay only when traffic is local? Why traffic from WAN is privileged and not affected? Oh, this makes two stupid questions again . Not much... so there is more. What everyone needs to repair exactly in PM (for healty network)? Sorry about questions, I live with Mac's start from 10.3 Panther, but I am first time in Sierra...

    I found that problem comes up only when computer receives data from another computer, if computer transmits data out, then all is "usable" at least . If I relaunch then Finder, that problem may or may not occur. Problematic computer is Gigabyte PH67A-UD3LR with I3 2130, RTL8100E. So, I think that power management is not cause of problem - if transmitting data is working. I downgraded RTL driver to v2.0.0., no visible changes.

    Why this packet handling problem (if this is a case) is only in local connection, not in internet traffic? My inet connection allows to 40Mbps DL and this works as promised. If I connect to old 10.6.8 machine, this connection works too, but seems that speed is only 100T range, not 1000T. If I connect with SMB, between two Sierras I can't connect at all. Only with AFP. Connection to 10.6.8 is AFP too. My machines are very ancient indeed - with s775 and s1155, but I need 10.6.8 and even 10.5.8 because of some specific software. I am not sportsmen, so I not need maximum in everything. I am 50 years old now, so gaming is not for me anymore . TSO... How I disable TCP segmentation offload in Sierra? Ok, found a way to edit. I disabled EEE, TSO for ipv4 and ipv6 and... file transfer stalled from ca10% of file size: file was 9,66GB and transfer goes to 906MB, then finito.

    If I wrote "without webdriver", then it need to be a built-in driver, built-in to Sierra or Clover (v3766). I not installed any graphic options or driver at all. If someone shows how to look what specific driver is used, then I look.

    I have GT710 in my computer, and for me it works without webdriver (!), 4K and Metal frameworks is supported. Only one bad things, 4K is supported max 30Hz, not 60Hz. For that, I needed to install with Clover (v3766 at least) and with... another card, Radeon HD6450. Installing directly with GT710, I got only basic resolutions, no transparency and no Metal framework support, weird flickering in booting stages. Btw, HD6450 works very smooth, only without Metal frameworks, transparency is there. After installing with HD6450, I replaced this card with GT710 and all is good. All this is for Sierra, from first to 10.12.3 version ( I tried all updates in row). I don't know how ElCap or older OS'es reacts. For one machine I keep HD6450, because with that card I have dual boot, Sierra and Snow Leopard in one, GT710 not work with Snow.

    Hi. I installed two Sierra computers, both with RTL8168/8111 and with v2.2.1. drivers internet works, thanks. Weird thing is that local network transfer speed is very slow, about 11-15KB only. If connection goes to internet, speed is like supposed to be. I am not sure about drivers problem, but something is like blocking LAN networking. All adresses is fixed, any energy-saver in network drivers is disabled. Previous machines with 10.6.8 or 10.9.5 works very well, network topology is exactly the same (1000baseT for all machines). Maybe someone has dealed with this problem before?
  8. In early Tiger days I have a Epox i865 motherboard, the same situation. Problem was... capacitors near Processor (6pcs) was blown up. I have also EP45-UD3LR, the capacitors on the motherboard is obviously High Quality ones... weird if there is the problem. I use it rarely and with SL10.6.8, I don't remember similar problems (yet ). But this model is produced in 2008, there is possibility of capacitor problems.
  9. No, recording is not possible at all with original driver. We can only hear the "SPDIF In" signal, but signal is routed digitally in wrong way, no one of recording apps don't "hear" anything from inputs (Juli@ is listed as input device!). For recording, only Envy24HT Installer is suitable (yeah it's limited for frequency formats, but the two formats are possible in high quality after all). Btw. if Amarra player is installed, I got normally even 192kHz playable (weird, Amarra is messing something with CoreAudio), I not tested recording possibility of that frequency yet. OT: Sorry, I never learned english in any way, so it may be not so understandable if I wrote something .
  10. Jap, it's works... partially. With SL10.6.8 (clean Retail), all output modes, formats works. Frequency change, initiated by CoreAudio, is working. For playback from computer with internal clock, all is OK. Only thing, analog and digital out can't work in same time, we need to change output from Audio/MIDI Setup panel. Inputs are dead. Audition, Audacity and AudioRecorder3.2 don't see ANY incoming signal. SPDIF In is working somehow, with distorted and low level signal. If some CoreAudio device is active, level improves (not fully) and distortion is cone. External clock via SPDIF In not work, Control Panel not show any frequency changes if external clock is changed... If someone wants to record, the audiodriverwriter driver is the only way (at the moment). Analog inputs are useable, with 44,1kHz or 88,2kHz 24Bit . Maybe PCIe version behavior is different. ESI first new driver says: minimum OS 10.5.8, PCI and PCIe versions are supported. Later driver only installs stuff and not provided any info. Sad story in overall. Maybe later I try out with Lion 10.7.5 and ML, but I am not very optimistic.

I not replaced the DAC in Juli@... yes, I have some ideas to redirect I2S signal to external WM8741 DAC (to avoid jitter), but it's more sensible if we using for that Juli@'s digital out - like Bryston did. Bryston don't contain any DAC inside, only Auraliti uses Juli@ card fully. In hardware Juli@ uses the DAC for digital commutation driven by DirectWire app - this leads to conclusion: it monitors digital I/O with an absolute zero delay... and we need the DAC for that! http://www.ixbt.com/multimedia/esi/julia/scheme-big.png Headphone out is technically easy task, some says Juli@ can driven headphones relativelly well. I prefered dedicated amplifier section for that, build or buyed separately. Even then we need pay attention to power supply for amplification, PC power is not so clean as needed if used directly for analog amplification. This is far far away from topic for now, I think ...
  12. I don't see a point of buying Bryston BDA-1 or Auraliti PK100, if I can build things myself and comparable (if not better) quality - and running Mac OS on it instead sort of limited linux....
  13. First, I changed all input and output caps to Elna Silmic II type (from not so good sonically Tantalum caps), second: added appropriate capacitance to digital and analog power stages. Compared AD to Weiss ADC2 and DA side to Weiss DAC202U, difference is there but only measured in FFT analyzer, by hearing I can't tell the difference. Jitter level is below -130dB by FFT, similar to Bryston BDA-1 (uses the digital board from Juli@). If sample rate changing works with official driver, I build new digital connectors (BNC) to secondary bracket, because that original breakout cable is not good, and I don't need the MIDI.   15. Thanks for the info . I can't test right now, DirectWire panel is working or not? External clock source? Digital input with all modes (24Bit 176kHz or 24Bit 192kHz etc.)?
