  1. Sorry for taking too long to answer. Rasstar, you shouldn't have bought the disc from Psystar. The kexts are out there. First of all, these are my specs: GA-EX58-UD4P 2.93 Ghz Quad - Core Intel Xeon Nvidia 9800 GTX 512MB 12GB RAM I cannot guarantee that this will work on any other hardware. What you will need: 1. Empire EFI (found here) 2. Retail Mac OS X DVD 3. Mobo Patch Installer (found here) 4. Mac OS X Combo Update 10.6.2 found here 5. Modified kexts. Extensions.zip 6. Modified dsdt.aml dsdt.aml.zip Firstly boot with the Empire EFI disc. You should then see the Darth Vader screen. Eject the disc and insert the retail DVD from Apple. The installation should start and finish pretty smoothly. After the restart, boot again with the Empire EFI disc and select the drive you chose to install Snow Leopard. Enter your details and continue. You should now see a crappy Snow Leopard system. Go to the Mobo Patch Installer FOLDER (do not run yet). Go to "Kexts_10.6" then to "Misc_Patches" and rename the SleepEnabler.kext to SleepEnabler.disabled. Then run the Patch Installer and enter your password. Select the partition of Snow Leopard and enter yes on the next screen to continue. At the terminal screen run the kext/kernel installer. Then type 4, 5, 6. This will move the kexts for display and sound so that they work. Then build the boot cache with "N". Reboot ("18"). Now after you login to your system, with the Empire EFI disc inserted, navigate to Empire EFI/Extra/Post-Installation and run myHack Installer. Reboot again. Now the system should have sound and display drivers. Run the Combo Update from Apple, and reboot the computer. After that copy the attached kexts into your Snow Leopard/Extras/Extensions folder and replace dsdt.aml with the attached one. Then repair permissions on your disc and reboot. You should now have everything detected on your Mac. You can check your "About This Mac".
  2. I can upload my kexts and dsdt after updating to 10.6.2. You need to delete Sleepenabler.kext and repair permissions followed by a reboot before actually applying the combo update. Anyway, everything working fine, everything is recognized, nothing else to ask for (atm) !
  3. Solved it. Downloaded original kexts from Psystar and followed the sticky to get Mac OSX to identify my processor. Silly of me not to look there before Hope this helps anyone with same issues.
  4. OK I really need help!

Tried Empire EFI + Retail SL DVD? It worked flawlessly for me

  6. I bought a computer from Psystar ( ) but due to me being stubborn and all i formatted the HDD several times. I seem to have a working OSX and updated without Sleepenabler to 10.6.2. Still everything working except sound though. At a random reboot I accidentally booted up with Rebel EFI (trial) and everything was detected at System Profiler, Motherboard, Memory etc. My normal specs though do not seem to appear on System Profiler with the latest myHack installed. No motherboard is detected (detected in the "About this Mac" as 2.97Ghz Unknown, instead of 2.93Ghz) and my Ram only appear on the "About this mac" not Memory on SP (There was an error while gathering this information.) I wanted to know if still I have a full working installation (except sound of course) and if I need to make anything or install any other kexts. I would also like a hint on making the sound to work! Thanks in advance Edit: CPU is Intel Quad Core Xeon Nehalem 2.93Ghz latest myHack version includes PC_EFI 10.5
