  1. Ozmosis for 100 Series Skylake CPU's

Hello All First of all I would like to say thank you ammoune78 this looks very interesting. I have been a long time lurker around these parts not posting much. I have a quo that has served me very well but is getting a bit long in the tooth. A few months ago I built myself a new hack with a GA-z170n-wifi great little machine but I would like to get Ozmosis on it. The problem is it has 64 Mbit bios chips tell me if I am crazy but does anybody think it would be possible to replace these with 128 Mbit chips. I found this on eBay BIOS-CHIP-for-Gigabyte-GA-Z170N-WIFI-GA-Z170X-UD3-GA-Z170X-Gaming-5-142000224814.html would the chips be a completely different size I would expect so but very hard to find information. If possible it would be great if someone with a supported z170 board could measure the BIOS chip. This would be greatly appreciated, call me crazy but it might just be possible. Thank you all

  7. New OS X compatible motherboard -> QUO

Hello All I have started to experience a strange issue since upgrading to 10.10 from 10.9.5 I am on 1479 Bios. Since the upgrade hardware monitor intermitantley shows the memory and core clock and temprature of my graphics card. Normally I would not worry about this but I have noticed a few applications cause the card to clock up and stick there. One being transmission, this is a known issue with no workaround so I dont use it much. I have also noticed this with an eyncription program for a kingston USB stick. I am running with stock nvram values, I had 10.10 beta 5 installed on an external hard drive and did not see this issue. I expect a fresh install may sort this out but wanted to check if anyone else has seen behaviour like this or if it is just me. I am sure I have left some detail out but I can provide more if required any ideas would be greatly pareciated Thank you
  8. Clover General discussion

f Just wanted to say a big thank you to xpamamadeus for pointing me in the right direction with his guide and config.plist. I had to make a few tweaks to get things running how I like them but have got Ivy Bridge power management working now. I have decided to use an SSDT though as with using GeneratePStates GenerateCStates I was getting a PState of 15 that is below the normal lower range that I would expect from an i7-3770, I don't know if this is a bad thing or not. I think the root cause of the issue was in two parts of my config.plist SMBIOS and KernelAndKextPatches. I would like to understand more about the FirmwareFeatures string in Clover does any one know of any good links explaining this. Also thanks to K3nny for looking over the files in my original post and pointing out the errors

  10. Clover General discussion

Sorry If my last post was unclear What I am trying to achive is Ivy bridge power managment with speed stepping. By this I mean loading the kexts x86PlatformPlugin.kext and x86PlatformShim and achiving more that 2 p-states. At the moment when I boot with Clover and the sys def Macmini6,2 I only achive 2 p-states of 16 and 34 and x86PlatformPlugin.kext and x86PlatformShim do not load. When I boot with Chameleon though x86PlatformPlugin.kext and x86PlatformShim load and I achive p-states of 16 20 26 30 34 39. I belive it has something to do with the SMC version (system) that loads. Chameleon is know to interact with fakeSMC and inject the SMC version 1.30f3. When Booting with Clover this does not happen and the correct SMC version for the sys def choice I have made is loaded. Is this something I can control through Clovers config.plist, or is there another way to get x86PlatformPlugin.kext and x86PlatformShim to load when booting with Clover. Thanks
  11. Clover General discussion

Hello All I need some help please I have been trying to get Ivy bridge power management working with my new hack for about a month now with the sys def of Macmini6,2 and Clover UFEI boot. I have try'd many different versions of clover and am now working with 1360 all though this has always been from a USB stick,I have Chameleon 2186 installed to the hard drive (would this make a difference?). I have try'd with and without DSDT and SSDT. I have generated DSDT from OSX booted with Chameleon and clean DSDT booted from Lynx. I have generated SSDT in many different ways Macisal PikeRAlpha's IB SSDT generation script. I have googled and researched every where I can find, there must just be something I am missing or don't understand. The only real difference I can see is the SMC Version that loads with Chameleon vs Clover, Clover loads 2.8f0 and Chameleon 1.30f3 that enables speedstep Can anyone help I have try'd so many different combinations of config.plist fakeSMC DSDT SSDT could some one take the time to go over my Darwin Dumps DSDT SSDT and point me in the right direction Many thanks to all here DarwinDumper_2.6.5_AMI_X64_1360_ML_rootGenrateIvyStatesYes.zip SSDT.aml.zip SSDT.aml 2.zip config.plist.zip config.plist copy.zip
