  1. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I tried booting with your config.plist. I still cannot boot without fake id 0x12345678. I ran HACK_INFO but it gave me an error saying it cannot access folder. Enclosed is Hackinfo_Report. ls: /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10: No such file or directory 2018-02-25 16:44:08.060 AllowPasswordPref[628:13075] Hardware Check err == -1 I am running Sierra 10.12.6. I deleted all the folders except EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other. I put all the kexts in /other. Thank you for helping me.
  2. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Here's my ACPI. No, I don't have any discrete graphics. It only has Intel HD Graphics. Thank you for your help. origin.zip
  3. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I did exactly as you suggested and still could not boot without fake_id 0x12345678.
  4. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Success! I was able to boot by using FakeID 0x12345678 under IntelGFX. Thank you! Now I am installing the variety of AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext on my boot drive. Should I delete the FakeID? Will AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext load if I leave FakeID in config.plist?
  5. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Asus U52F Laptop. Intel Core i3 1st Gen 350M (2.26 GHz) 4 GB Memory 500 GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 1366 x 768 BIOS settings: UEFI Boot [Enabled], Virtualization Tech [Disabled] Finished installing El Capitan but I cannot boot into it with the USB installer. I get the "IOBluetoothFamily start -- completed" error/hang. I have tried deleting the AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.
  6. Sukkel, Yes, I only have 2 USB 2.0 ports showing under System Report. The rest are all USB 1.0. I cannot locate which ports are USB 2.0. I tried plugging in all the USB ports with my legacy mouse but none came up as USB 2.0. When I inserted a USB flash drive it came up under USB 2.0. As far as the sleep issue, here are some of the settings I tried with Clover Configurator: Changed FixShutdown to true, no effect darkwake = 0, no effect neverHibernate to true, no effect fixUSB to true, no effect tried -gux_defer_usb2 -gux_no_idle -gux_nosleep based on this theory (Hackintosh restarts instead of shutting down, and it doesn't sleep) Did not work.
  7. Sir, you are a genius! I love you! I've spent countless hours to figure this out. I finally got my EP35-DS3R with 771 xeon to boot. One last problem, when waking from sleep the computer reboots. Have you had this issue?
  8. I have the same board and I was able to successfully install 10.11.4. I used the latest Clover with (Legacy boot mode, ALC885/889a, RealtekRTL8111 v2.1.0d1, Inject NVIDIA). Everything works except: waking from sleep will reboot the computer and some legacy USB mouse and keyboard will not work. If you can solve the sleep issue please let me know.
  9. Samsung Q series Notebooks (Q430)

Forget about it. I just found out I have the Samsung NP-Q430-JU01US, not the Q430-11. The NP-Q430-JU01US has what they call the Hybrid Graphics System. Its comprised of intel HD graphics and Nvidia 310m. Which is fine and dandy but the bios is incapable of turning off the intel HD graphics portion of it. As we all know, Snow Leopard does not play well with Intel HD graphics. The Q430-11 has a discrete Nvidia 310m as its sole graphics card, and SL has no problems with that. I should have researched this before spending close to 80 hours trying to install SL on it. With that said, should I return this laptop and get a different one or wait for Samsung to post a bios that can turn off the intel graphics? Has anybody heard of a bios hack that can do this?
  10. Samsung Q series Notebooks (Q430)

Do you have QE/CI working on graphics? (ripple effect with Dashboard and Front Row working?) Which boot method? (chameleon version?) Do you have a EFI or a Cham partition with a /Extra/Extension? Were you able to combo upgrade to 10.6.5? Sorry for all the questions. It's just that it's exciting talking to someone that has installed SL on a Q430. Thanks in advance.
  11. Samsung Q series Notebooks (Q430)

Tried it with Tonymac's [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] and 10.6.3 retail image on USB. It loaded fine, but NO out of the box graphics support (correction: no QE/CI support), no wifi or LAN, only sound worked. It will only boot with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] CD. Tried various Chameleons on a "Cham" directory, but no go. Loaded 10.6.4 combined update. It finished fine but will not boot anymore. Tried booting in safe mode but did not respond. I'm out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  12. Samsung Q series Notebooks (Q430)

Morphium, Good suggestion. Before I try, do you think having discrete graphics and integrated graphics on the same platform will cause problems?
  13. Samsung Q series Notebooks (Q430)

Has any one had any success with installing SL on Samsung Q series Laptops? I have a Q430 with these specs: Chipset: Intel HM55 Processor: Intel Core i5 460m Audio: Realtek HD WIFI: Atheros AR9285 LAN: ? Video: Nvidia GeForce 310m w/512MB Installs retail 10.6 fine with [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] CD. From there it KPs during 10.6.5 combo update. Same results with -v -x.
  14. Asus P5E DSDT fixes

oldnapalm, OMG, you are god!!!! (I can kiss you and hug you and all that but I won't.) I have been trying to install 10.6 on a P5E for over 5 months, without success. I've probably wasted 300 hours trying different configurations, kext combinations, multitude of boot loaders, etc., etc., etc. One day I was browsing and searching through this forum and ran across your post. I figured I give it a go and tired your DSDT file and suggested kexts, it worked like a charm!!! It took maybe 40 minutes tops! I was so happy, I literally jumped for joy -- cartwheels and backflips and all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Jeff
