  1. Intel HD Graphics / GMA 5700

I wasnt aware that there is a specific model identification on FakeSMC until now, searched on how alter it to a specific model but nothing comes up, im confused have to read more.. how do you go about changing the FakeSMC model? Found this while searching on putting a model on FakeSMC.kext, could that help?: http://www.kexts.com/view/1901-fakesmc.kex..._the_model.html

If you turn it upside down it will be easier to work on your computer lol
  3. Intel HD Graphics / GMA 5700

What if we get an ioreg dump of a macbookpro with just intelhd loaded will the ioreg be the same? it would need someone with an intelhd macbookpro to move out of S/L/E all the video kexts that are not intelhd just like we do but with all the intelhd kexts of course.. will the ioreg be different and give us more insight on the possible efi gfx string to use? i just don't know if the ioreg will be different, but maybe worth a try? first we need to know if the video for the macbookpro will work with just the intelhd kexts present.. maybe yes, maybe not..

Any reason for you to use a gfx string based on an nvdia one on your com.apple.Boot.plist instead of a intel gma efi gfx string???
  5. intel hd graphics cards success 10.8

Any reason for you to use a gfx string based on an nvdia one on your com.apple.Boot.plist instead of a intel gma efi gfx string? Thanks

It is going nothing far from injecting the right efi gfx string to the OS.. Unfortunately I don't have time to research on intel gfx strings right now.. it is a pretty deep dive .. probably next week.. Just note that manor on the other topic didn't even use a intel gfx string.. he used an Nvida one.. shouldn't we use someting more similar to GMA950 to start (I am not saying to use the same string as GMA950 of course but similar).. I wonder if he used nvidia strings instead of Intel GMA one for some reason??? Could someone extract this option of the installer with Pacifist for Mac for us to see what it does ?

    great!
  8. Port BCM 4313 wifi linux driver to OS X.

    Hi Slice, Following is what I have on my DSDT in an attempt to make BCM4313 work (Network controller [0280]: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller [14e4:4727] (rev 01) Subsystem: Broadcom Corporation Device [14e4:0510]) Can I just substitute the Device (WLD1) with your Device (ARPT) to make BCM4313 work here? Thank you Device (RP02) { Name (_ADR, 0x001C0001) OperationRegion (PXCS, PCI_Config, 0x40, 0xC0) Field (PXCS, AnyAcc, NoLock, WriteAsZeros) { Offset (0x10), APL0, 1, APL1, 1, Offset (0x12), , 13, LASX, 1, Offset (0x1A), ABPX, 1, , 2, PDCX, 1, , 2, PDSX, 1, Offset (0x1B), LSCX, 1, Offset (0x20), Offset (0x22), PSPX, 1, Offset (0x98), , 30, HPEX, 1, PMEX, 1, , 30, HPSX, 1, PMSX, 1 } Device (PXSX) { Name (_ADR, Zero) } Method (_PRT, 0, NotSerialized) { If (PICM) { Return (AR05) } Return (PR05) } Device (WLD1) { Name (_ADR, Zero) OperationRegion (WLAN, PCI_Config, Zero, 0x08) Field (WLAN, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve) { WLID, 8 } Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x0C) { "device-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x12, 0x43, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x6B, 0x10, 0x00, 0x00 }, "name", Buffer (0x0D) { "pci14e4,4312" }, "device_type", Buffer (0x08) { "Airport" }, "model", Buffer (0x11) { "Broadcom BCM4313" }, "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } }

The solution is just for lion then?
  10. Intel HD Graphics / GMA 5700

Guys, we are probably missing something here, does someone remember how was it done on the GMA950 back then to make framebuffer work? people were modifying the framebuffer to use the right amount of memory or something? maybe we could follow the footsteps.. unfortunately I haven't any info about this since I have never touched a GMA950 and haven't followed the forums about it back then on the epoch... we could take a look on that probably.. Aren't we missing some good DSDT injection for our card to work properly? For instance look at some code for Intel GMA chameleon GraphicsEnabler.. I am not saying in no way that we need all that stuff being used for GMAX3100, but there is at least one thing being used for the two and that is "AAPL,HasPanel" http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleo...6/libsaio/gma.c well.. i dont know what "AAPL,HasPanel" does.. Im just pointing out it is there being used for both GMA950 and GMAX3100..
  11. I reboot, then boot with -s (single user mode), then execute shutdown -h now shutdown ok, just a little bit of procedure, at least you don't have to the force with 5 seconds finger on button thing
  12. TSC sync XNU patch

I thought it was fixed, but the problem is still there even after VoodooTSCSync.kext when the game is running it works so beautifully damn damn damn help
  13. TSC sync XNU patch

Well well well, I have this laptop for just one week, I started to notice that the graphic effects are not so fluid, like they should, and stuuters a little bit, could it be i have the problem? probably yes? There is something strange here, if I have a game running on the computer (World of Goo in full screen then I go to Finder with command+tab) the exposé effects are perfect. if I close the game the graphics starts to stutter again. Edit: Now it is working
  14. TSC sync XNU patch

How can I know if I have this problem???
  15. I second that! By the way how are you shutingdown until we get the solution?
