  1. I have been trying to get OS X installed on my MSI Pro-E i7 920 setup for a while now. It seems like a lot of my problems have been stemming from my ATI 4850, because I get to a lot of black screens when following some tutorials. Has anyone gotten OS X to run on this mobo and cpu? I am trying to follow this tutorial http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1488410, but have been having bad luck since I get to loading the install disk and getting a black screen. Also there is no mention of a dsdt file or anything like that. I thought a dsdt file was needed for almost every board now, but I may be wrong. Thanks for your help.
  2. I cannot get into the OS X installer with the given boot options. I get to a black screen. I am using an ATI 4850, which could be the cause. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks.
  3. Hello everyone. As you can tell I am having problems with time machine. I have the vid drivers install and working. Time machine does backup to the drive i want it to. Though when I hit time machine on the dock it opens a finder window and then it closes and i get this in the log. 4/28/08 11:22:37 PM com.apple.launchd[103] ([0x0-0x32032].com.apple.finder[369]) Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault I dont know why it is doing this. If you need any other info just post what you need. Thanks.
  4. Driver for nForce4 LAN

Hey All, great work on the driver. Though I have one question. I have an M61P-S3 mobo built-in lan. I have tried a multitude of forcedeth drivers. Everytime I test it with kextload it freezes the mouse, keyboard, etc. Or another driver I loaded from another forcedeth post loads, but nothing happens the nic doesnt show up in network settings or anything. I was wondering if anyone had a solution. Thanks.
  5. TimeMachine fails backup

I found that I get this in the Console that is related to the problem: 2/24/08 8:01:57 AM com.apple.launchd[99] ([0x0-0x18018].com.apple.finder[193]) Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault
  6. Time Machine Issues...

I also get this in the Console: 2/24/08 7:22:01 AM com.apple.launchd[102] ([0x0-0x23023].com.apple.finder[211]) Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault

  8. TimeMachine fails backup

Hey all... Thanks for all these tips. I was able to backup with time machine with an alternate IONetworkingFamily.kext file. Though now my problem is when I hit the "Enter time machine button" Nothing Happens. I dont go into space or anything, a Finder window pops up then dissapears and the desktop icons and stuff reloads. I have no idea why this happens. Is there anyway to reinstall Time Machine? If anyone has had this problem plz reply back. Thanks.
  9. Discontinued

Hey great job man... I have a m61p-s3 mobo nforce 430 built-in lan. It recognizes it but it cant connect to the internet i get a weird address when i use dhcp... it is starts as 168.***.***.*** . I dont know what the problem is, but you have made some great progress. Thanks
  10. First let my start with my system: Processor: AMD X2 6000+ Mobo: GigaByte M61p-S3 Chipset: Nforce 430 (Working) HDDs: 2 Sata 250GB (Working) GFX: X1950 Powercolor 512MB PCIe (Somewhat Working?) Audio: HDA Nvidia Audio (Working) LAN: NForce NIC (Not Working) Now I have almost everything working on my 10.5.2 install. Though my x1950 is recognized, it says that Core Image is in Software Mod and Quartz Extreme is not supported. I have tried Bronya's drivers and still messing with them. If i get it to work i will let u all know. Then my lan, i have seen that many people are having problems with this adapter i have tried the forcedeth, but nothing happens. I have tried adding the id to the plists for both devices and nothing. I dont know if there are any other drivers or anything i can use. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
