1. Same, wondering how to accomplish this.
2. Hm, do you know anyone who possibly know this? I've looked many places on insanelymac and google and I've got no luck finding a solution.
3. Hi Mammoth, first thanks for the guide, I have an HP Envy 14. Now I know this isn't a DV series notebook, but the specs is very similar to the other HP laptops. It also has the InsyBIOS installed. Now I got 10.6.7 working and loaded up but for some reason I can't seem to get my graphics to work. It has a ATI 5650m card in it, and I've tried atlee's method and it refuses to work. When it loads in Chameleon it detects the card but when it actually boots up it always detects only the IntelHD card.

5. Hi all, I currently have a HP Envy 14. After a lot of trials and errors, I've managed to boot 10.6.6 retail on my laptop on a MBR partition, but the dual-graphics card configuration of this laptop is giving me one last problem. I used checcco's boot file, installed Chameleon r5 with ATI support with #####, installed 10.7's ATI kexts and even dumped my card's ATI rom onto the /Extra folder (all seen here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250905) but for some reason my laptop can never pick up the card, only the Intel one. But when I boot in verbose mode, I see the following: No DSDT found, using 0 as uid value. Using PCI-Root-UID value: 0 ATI card POSTed, reading VBIOS from legacy space ATI Redwood ATI Radeon HD 5650 series 4095MB (Nomascus) [1002:68c1] (subsys [103c: 1436]) **There's some more code here, but my camera didn't get a good shot of it; I'll take a shot again if this part of info is needed*** Intel VGA Controller [8086:0046] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) (Currently Not SUPPORTED) Which means ... my ATI card is detected by chameleon and the boot file, but somehow never activated in OSX, right? Anyone got any input for me to work this out?

Finally QE/CI on Mobility 5650!

I was wondering do I need to be on 10.6.6 for this to work? I am on 10.6.2 right now and it outputs while I boot with -v cpus=1 busratio=20 GraphicsEnabler=Yes AtiConfig=Eulemur (I tried using Nomascus too): No DSDT found, using 0 as uid value. Using PCI-Root-UID value: 0 ATI card POSTed, reading VBIOS from legacy space ATI Redwood ATI Radeon HD 5650 series 4095MB (Nomascus) [1002:68c1] (subsys [103c: 1436]) Intel VGA Controller [8086:0046] :: PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) (Currently Not SUPPORTED) I have IntelHD/ATI 5650 switchable graphics but no option to set it to discrete in BIOS. Anyone have any input? Doing this on an Envy 14 i5.
7. So right now, I have a Leopard partition of 40 GB and a 40 GB unallocated partition; I attempted to formatted the unallocated partition into FAT32 and then reformat it again using Time Machine and made it the back-up disk, everything seems smooth, but ... After I reboot and use chain0 from Vista bootloader, it gives me an error that "boot.plist" cannot be found. Since chain0 looks for a HFS+ partition, I am assuming that it found the Time Machine partition and attempt to boot it, which of course isn't bootable. Grub (on my MBR) also seems to fail to boot my Leopard partition (which, I am pretty sure, IS on hd(0,1)) so I was forced to reformat my Time Machine partition using Mac Drive on Vista, and as expected, chain0 successfully booted my Leopard partition. Thing is, is there anyway to get Time Machine to work without using an external HDD? I am on an AMD PC and so any sort of update (Like 10.5.3 which pretty much killed 1/2 of my kext, forcing to do a reinstall) is dangerous, and so I want Time Machine to backup my System so I can restore any previous setting instead of a complete reinstall.

Problems Installing

Have you try reburning the DVD? seems like a bad burn to me. Try using ImgBurn instead of Nero.

NForce SATA Controller

I am pretty sure it's a SATA. Top is my DVD drive, and bottom is my HDD. They both have the same DevID; what do I do? Here's what I have in info.plist; As you can see, my DevID is already included; should I do something to the INfo.plist file still? My system specs are as following: Processor - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.0Hz (Supports SSE2/SSE3, checked with CPUZ) Motherboard - ECS Nettle2, chipset is NVIDIA MCP61. Memory: DDR2, 3072 MBytes. Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6750SE nForce 430. Disk Drive: SATA 500GB.

NForce SATA Controller

Now I deleted the Extensions.mkext off the DVD, edittetd the info.plist so it only has my SATA devID, put the FIRST version of the driver in the extension main folder, deleted the AppleNvidiaATA.kext in the plugin folder, and then booted off. Here's what I got: AppleNForceATA: NVIDIA nForce MCP61 by MeDevil AppleNForceATA::scanForDrives found 1 units. AppleNForceATA: phy connection failed. status=0x00000000 *An error with IOUSBESCI.* ...Still waiting for Root device. Is it that error that's keeping me from booting? If so, I'll try to post the rest here. Meanwhile, I am going to try the Jas 10.4.8 DVD.

NForce SATA Controller

I checked, and it's in there. (03f6). Also, what do you mean by "also if it still not work, left in info.plist only used devids"? And, this came up after firewire switching to full-secure. AppleNForceATA::scanForDrives found 0 units. AppleNForceATA::scanForDrives found 0 units. I am deleting the one in my Extension folders, leaving the driver only in Extensions.mkext, and reburning it. Hopefully it will work.

NForce SATA Controller

I was really happy when this came up. AppleNForceATA: NVIDIA nForce MCP61 by MeDevil AppleNForceATA::scanForDrives found 1 units. AppleNForceATA: phy connection failed. status=0x00000000 ...Then this came up. *Something about IOUSB kext* Firewire switching to full-secure. Then finally this. Still waiting for root device. Anybody can help me with this? I got the AMD SSE2/SSe3 Disk injected with this driver in the Extension.mkext and in the main Extension folder + IOATAFamily.kext's plugin folder, all permissions repaired, etc.

ATI Xpress 200 mac os x driver

Here you go. http://omni.110mb.com/callisto/ Be sure to read the readme, it's really helpful. Also, if I remember correctly, you have to edit the Callisto.kext's info.plist so you change the ALLmethod to TRUE instead of False. Leaving it false made my monitor completely unusable, so better double-check.
14. I believe you can use the Ubuntu LiveCD to set it to active. If worst comes to worst, you can probably reformat the whole drive and then reinstall XP, and the try reinstalling Leopard again. But again, I think the problem is just the active drives.

ATI Xpress 200 mac os x driver

I had a Radeon 9200 and used a Callisto_b008 driver (I think it works on MOST ATI cards.) Try it at your risk.
