  1. What does that mean? Are you stating or asking ? Newer than Version 1.3.0 ?
  2. Man, thank you so much for figuring out our mishaps.. Iv'e been struggling with this for months now. I even messed with file permissions (and prob screwed them up) I am now happily back in business with Kali and Mac OS 10.9.1 I disabled and killed EVERY Comando firewall service running. Ran the Unlock 1.3 without a problem. I personally like Comando and avoided to bloatware during install. Just in case anyone else gets this; "You have started vmware server with an out-of-date copy of the application" , but researching I found this and fixed it. (You have to add the line to every VM ) http://binyit.blogspot.com/2014/01/solving-you-have-started-vmware-server.html Thank you!!!!
  3. Ok, downloaded and ran in CMD prompt as Admin - didn't seem to output a log file What is the exact syntex? Should I use a switch ?
  4. I have had the same problem on Windows 7 64bit.. and once I forced it to over write , it broke all VM's when starting them. Hoping for a solution myself. What version VM u using? So went back before applying unlock and use linux vm's at least with no avail for Mac anymore.. ;-(
  5. Hi Donk, Could you get me (WilsonB AT pobox.com) the MODIFIED version of Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\x64\vmware-vmx.exe ? I can give that a try and see if it starts working. Since I get CreateFile failed Access is denied all the time. I am able to rename/delete the file. Hopefully when I replace it, it wont cause this for any VM's I start inside VMWare; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The following error occurred when starting VMware Workstation. W32AuthConnectionLaunch: WriteFile filed (code 6). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks so much..
  6. No VM's running and made sure it stopped all VMware services. Looks like I just need a fixed \x64\vmware-vmx.exe
  7. Ok, I changed Security settings for VMware folder to all account write / modify access. Was able to run Debug install script but vmware-vmx.exe still failed for some reason unknown. Could you email me the modified file that fails? This might do the trick.. thanks C:\unlock-all-v130\windows>debug-install.cmd VMware Unlocker 1.3.0 ======================== © Dave Parsons 2011-14 Administrator PRIVILEGES Detected! 8. What I had to do in the past to be able to run unlock without errors, is run it as Admin in SafeMode and it worked for a while. Now when restarting in SafeMode and trying to run the debug install script AS ADMINISTRATOR it give me this output; VMware Unlocker 1.3.0 ======================== © Dave Parsons 2011-14 ######## ######## ######## ####### ######## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ###### ######## ######## ## ## ######## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ## ######## ## ## ## ## ####### ## ## ####### ERROR: ADMINISTRATOR PRIVILEGES REQUIRED ######### This script must be run as administrator to work properly! 9. Thank you so much for your help and your input. I really appreciate it! Yes, I run cmd prompt as Administrator; however there always seems to be a lock on vmware-vmx.exe , I have to restart in safe mode and rerun the patch. 10. Specs; Windows 7 64bit, VMware 10.0.1 build-1379776, OS X 10.9.0 & Unlocker 1.2 or 1.3 I had this working nicely for a while with no problems.. all VM's worked- Linux, OSx, etc.. Now when starting any VM inside VMWare I get pop up error; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The following error occurred when starting VMware Workstation. W32AuthConnectionLaunch: WriteFile filed (code 6). ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is caused by Unlocker Ver 1.2 or ver 1.3 Specificly vmware-vmx.exe file that the unlocker modifies. I have uninstalled and deleted all folders in Vmware and reinstalled. Everything works except OSX - Just get the spinning boot symbol . Then run Unlocker (install script) as a Admin in safemode. Restart system and VMware or VMPlayer get the top error message again. When replacing it with original vmware-vmx.exe (before) running unlocker, it works again. Anyone else having problems?

  12. 10.6.6 i on MSI u100 Have it installed but having a hard time with the graphics. It only does 800x600 and external monitor doesn't work. Also sleep does not work. I have removed the GMA950 kext from from S/L/E directory and put them in the /Extras/Extensions directory. Tried to install all 4 950's using Kext Wizard. No go..stuck at 800x600 Sleep just makes the cursor disapear (Hitting power makes it come back) Anyone? Once I get that working, I will reimage the whole drive in case it crapes out. Scared to upgrade that it might break it..

  15. Had Audio working once, then had to rebuild and couldn't get it working again. Installed drivers a few times and now. When installing ; EnsoniqAudioPCI.mpkg I get this pop up; "The system extension "/System/LibraryExtensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product's vendor for an update." How do I clean this up (uninstall) and reinstall the correct drivers to get it to be seen under OSX Audio Device? ______________________________________________________________________ My Hardware.
