  1. Hi, Here is Clover directory with patched DSDT SSDT, required kexts and drivers for installing macOS High Sierra. Radeon GPU and Intell Wifi will newer work, because there are no drivers written for them. You must buy another wifi card BCM94352HMB to have wifi. GPU will be only HD4600. Patches made to the latest BIOS V21. Command for creating install USB: sudo "/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia" --volume /Volumes/Untitled --nointeraction In case you do not want the installation USB to format you SSD to apfs during macOS installation, write this in terminal before selecting drive to install (here "/Volumes/macOS" - is drive I wanted to install): /Volumes/"Image Volume/Install macOS High Sierra.app"/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --volume /Volumes/macOS --converttoapfs NO --agreetolicense If you want dual boot Windows 10, create fat32 EFI drive with esp and boot flags, install there Clover. Installing Clover deselect CsmVideoDxe-64.efi or Clover will not boot. If you are unsure of EFI format, you can format EFI in macOS using command in terminal (disk1s1 is in my case, change to yours if necessary): sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI /dev/disk1s1 Then rebuild Microsoft boot files to EFI using command line tool from Windows installation media: bcdboot c:\windows /s s: /f UEFI Where c:\Windows is your installed Windows location, s: is your EFI drive letter (if it has no letter - mount it). Then rename bootmgfw.efi in EFI/Microsoft/Boot into something else. Then copy CLOVERX64.efi from EFI/Clover to EFI/Boot and rename it to BOOTX64.efi (overwrite). (After a Windows update, make sure you remove the previous bootmgfw-orig.efi, and rename the new bootmgfw.efi to bootmgfw-orig.efi) Here is code fragments in case you decided to turn Radeon off yourself editing DSDT, SSDS using MaciASL.app. native DSDT: If (LEqual (PM6H, One)) { CreateBitField (BUF0, \_SB.PCI0._Y0C._RW, ECRW) // _RW_: Read-Write Status Store (Zero, ECRW (If (PM0H) { CreateDWordField (BUF0, \_SB.PCI0._Y0D._LEN, F0LN) // _LEN: Length Store (Zero, F0LN) })) } patched DSDT: If (LEqual (PM6H, One)) { CreateBitField (BUF0, \_SB.PCI0._Y0C._RW, ECRW) // _RW_: Read-Write Status Store (Zero, ECRW) } If (PM0H) { CreateDWordField (BUF0, \_SB.PCI0._Y0D._LEN, F0LN) // _LEN: Length Store (Zero, F0LN) } native DSDT: Name (_HID, "*pnp0c14") // _HID: Hardware ID patched DSDT: Name (_HID, "PNP0C14") // _HID: Hardware ID native SSDT-5 (for turning Radeon off): Method (_INI, 0, NotSerialized) // _INI: Initialize { Store (Zero, \_SB.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP._ADR) } patched SSDT-5 (for turning Radeon off): Method (_INI, 0, NotSerialized) // _INI: Initialize { Store (Zero, \_SB.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP._ADR) //added to turn radeon off External(\_SB.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP._OFF, MethodObj) _OFF() } CLOVER.zip My_dissasembled_DSDT_SSDT.zip
  2. Hi, Here are tips for installing macOS High Sierra on Acer Aspire 5737Z: 1. Remove Atheros AR5007EG 802.11a/b/g wifi card otherwise macOS won't boot. You must buy Atheros AR5B91 802.11b/g/n for 5$ if you want wifi. I tested many other wifi cards, but only this works out of box. Now you must create bootable macOS High Sierra installation USB stick from either on: 1. Windows. 2. Real MacOS. 3. MacOS on virtual machine on Windows (VirtualBox or VMWare, etc., google on torrent sites for ready images). *Don't use U.n.i.B.e.a.s.t or M.u.l.t.i.B.e.a.s.t for creating USB, it will not work for this PC. 1. If you have only working Windows, use Boot disk utility http://cvad-mac.narod.ru and download macOS image to use with it in torrent site http://nnm-club.me. search for "OS X FOR BDU" and download image via magnet link. During torrent catch select only os version you want. Then follow insructions using Boot disk utility in Windows. Command for creating install USB: sudo "/Applications/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia" --volume /Volumes/Untitled --nointeraction In case you do not want the installation USB to format you SSD to apfs during macOS installation, write this in terminal before selecting drive to install (here "/Volumes/macOS" - is drive I wanted to install): /Volumes/"Image Volume/Install macOS High Sierra.app"/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --volume /Volumes/macOS --converttoapfs NO --agreetolicense Attached Clover EFI folder with patched DSDT and required kexts for USB ports and keyboard to work (EFI.zip). I assume, that you can create a bootable USB with Clover and then overwrite your Clover EFI directory with downloaded. Keep in mind, that provided config.plist contains all required patches for sound, video, etc. to work. Then you install Clover to installation USB or Laptop, it's very important, that you select "CloverEFI 64-bits BioSBlockIO" option or USB won't boot. Some screenshots from config.plist loaded in CloverConfigurator: 3. After installation, you have to install AppleHDA.kext for sound, CodecCommander.kext for sound to work after sleep, OSXRestart.MasterChief.kext is required for restart to work. You also have to search and install latest Nvidia Web driver to fully accelerate GPU. 5. CPU Speedstep is already defined in config.plist, but there must must be no NullCPUPowerManagement.kext installed or speedstep won't work. Search for this HWMonitor.app as RehabMan-FakeSMC if you want. Here I also provided info about required kexts: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.13.1/Portables#Acer *CPU has to support SSE4.1 in order to install Sierra. F.e. I had T4200 to throw and install P9600. Ask any questions regarding macOS installation to this laptop. So I will provide more info. CLOVER_necessary.zip Kexts.zip

Hello, It would be nice, that "Shut down PC" was implemented in clover boot menu. Because now I have to boot OS and shut down PC or do a hard shut down using power button. How it is not put in clover yet?
  5. Clover General discussion

Hello, A week ago I installed Mac OS and Clover for the first time. Now my old non-UEFI laptop dual boots El Capitan 10.11.5 or Windows 10 using Clover_v2.3k_r3625 on same same disk, everything works OK. I want to use Acronis True Image 2016 to restore partition or disk image. When I use Acronis from Windows, it restarts the computer for recovering, but Clover starts first and doesn't show Acronis recovery boot option to proceed further. When I only used Windows, Acronis booted fine. From USB stick Acronis boots fine. Maybe someone knows how to make Acronis apear in Clover boot menu or even make Acronis start before Clover?
