    [PCI][Ralink 2500] Airport ?

Hi all, i have succesfully got the ralink card recognized in osx 10.5.2 However, osx offers the new connection as a regular enX device (being en1(en0 occupied by Lan) I used the drivers wich are downloadable from the ralink site What am i doing wrong, or cant i use airport with the ralink2500 ?
  2. im succesfully runnin osx 10.5.2 on Asus P5K (With KaylwayInstall) Everything onboard works Audio -> Yep , select alc883 in installer Lan -> Yep , install attansicL1 driver after install.. GFX -> X1950 Pro -> Dual Monitor 19" CI/QE Working (Thnx Bronya) And its on Dual boot with WindowsXP for Gaming (Using the darwin bootloader, this is easy 1-2-3 dualboot)
  3. I have a old prism card over here, wich i found somewhere on the attic. The card wasnt functioning in windows before, So i downloaded a driver, modded the pci id etc, and the windows driver works. Intersil/Harris PrismGT/Prism45 PCIVENID 1260 DEVID 3890 SUBSYS 42031113 So i took a look at the Tiger PrismGT drivers from gtdriver.binaervarianz.de in the info.plist there is the vendor id 1260 + device ID 3890 Wich would mean that these drivers should work for this card <key>IONameMatch</key> <array> <string>pci10b7,6001</string> <string>pci1260,3890</string> </array> Could it be that gthe PrismGT are USB drivers, and not for PCI ? if so how to modify the GT driver to look for the card on PCI bus ? Or are these drivers not suitable for an intel based mac ? I then decided to take a look at the kext being loaded : arthur-osx:Contents jr$ sudo kextload -v /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext extension /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext has potential problems: Warnings { "Kext has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style" = true } kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext appears to be loadable kextload: loading extension /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/GTDriver.kext is already loaded Since these drivers are for Tiger, they do NOT seem to work for Leopard 10.5.2 Are there any developers here that can help me get the PrismGT driver Leopard ready ? ia how can i resolve the dependencie issue ? Ow before anyone makes the suggestion to just buy a new card ... ppl that are familair with KisMAC know why i want this one to get to work
  4. i have a prism card to and cannot get it to run either under leo, any help appreciated
  5. Hi all i have a : Intersil Corporation Intersil ISL3890 Prism GT/Prism Duette (rev 01) i cant get it to run under leo usiong the available GT driver or the other ones, they will not install under leo 10.5.2

Very Sad Noob and PC :(

boot the installer with many various bootflags, hit F8 on boot, wich one you need to try can be different try at least : -f -v -x -legacy cpus=1
  9. well i tried : -v -f -x -legacy cpus=1 still i get the reboot on the dvd when it loads system.kext files , those are one of the last kext before the reboot occurs (on the dvd boot to installer) it could be that this board cannot run it, wich would be to bad cuz i have osx running on every pc here in the house now (5 pcs) Server remains linux tho Also this pc bios does not have options for XD or anything. Intel P4 3.2Ghz DFI with Intel 865PE Chipset (ich5) 1GB DDR400 pc3200 Ati Radeon 9600Pro AIW
  10. anyone know a quick fix for the kalyway dvd rebooting before reaching the install ? i succesfully installed kalyway on 4 different setups, but i cant get the installer to start on this p4 3.2 i tried various flags : -v -f -x -legacy , im running out of ideas
