1. intel centrino AMD HD 2600 4gb need to use form-z and powercadd.
2. hey guys i have a: GIGABYTE x58a-UD3R Intel i7-930 WD750GB BFG 8800GT i followed this tutorial, the #####: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/ and then this http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/11/dua...-os-x-snow.html this works better than the kakewalk because for some reason, the kakewalk CD doesn't boot. i wanted to know, does it matter which one you install first? because i installed SL first and then Windows 7 - the harddrive is split in two 3 petition - 1. SL 2. Win7 3. Data - once i installed win7 after SL, the computer boots to win 7. thats understandable - i go back, put in the ##### cd, boot up to SL and dloaded the .zip package, installed the PC EFI 10.1, did the terminal thing (how do i know if i set the partition active successfully?), and restarted. - what happens is that it boots up to win7, and before the windows logo can fully establish, it reboots. - what is going on? I havent updated my SL yet. it's 10.6. and wanted to know if its possible to update without any further configurations.
3. can someone help me with the following? 1. i have just finished installing windows 7 on my second partition, however, I have to switch back and forth in bios to change AHCI to IDE to access MAC or the windows. is there a workaround for this? 2. i have to put in the ##### cd everytime to boot up mac os. I can't find the tonymacx86-snowleopard.zip http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/11/dua...-os-x-snow.html can someone recommend me a bootloader and tutorial for it? 3. how can i upgrade to 10.6.3 and resolve my sleep issue? my computer cannot wake up from sleep, i have to restart the computer to resolve this. for now i just turned off sleep which is fine for me.
4. i used the ##### method and it works flawelessly! i have sound, internet, ...what else am i missing? http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/11/dua...-os-x-snow.html
5. got it to install! seems like everything is running however, my internet is unusually slow..... does anyone know why? my laptop running wireless (on windows) is faster. loads yahoo faster and etc.
6. yea, i plan to partition it. i was just lazy and i wanted to test it out. however, when i go to the installation screen, every time i input a partition size, the installation would automatically change back to the full size. anyhoos- i tried that ##### thing, it didnt work when i put in my SL cd. does it matter if i leave 6gb in or do i really need to take one 2gb out? when it boots the screen, i put in the CD and nothing happens...
7. thank you projectY luckily i found a 8gb usb drive in the office. i have just finished restoring the usb drive with the snow leopard cd but when i run kakewalk installer, i cant select my USB drive because it says "kakewalk can't be installed on this disk. make sure you've selected your usb drive and also restored snow leopard to it
8. My current setup is: Gigabyte X58A-UD3R 6GB CORSAIR DDR3 1600 BFG 8800GT WD750GB 32MB 7200RPM the only thing i setup so far at BIOS is AHCI mode. I followed these tutorials: http://lifehacker.com/5351485/how-to-build...start-to-finish http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required 1.At first attempt, it loaded but gave me a timeout error. 2.at second attempt, it loaded to the install screen. Did the whole utility disk thing, making my whole disk into the harddrive (even though I didn't want too). set it to GUID and installed, but stopped at 28%. after awhile it stalls on 28% and when I move the mouse, the error popups 3. third attempt, same thing as second attempt. I am using my old video Ipod as my USB. Dont know if this matters, but the batter isn't the best anymore after these 4 years. any suggestions, guys? i want to do the kakewalk, but I don't have a big enough usb drive for it, so I might have to resort to the cd instead but dont know how to burn the contents of the zip files sine theres it's no .iso thanks in advance
9. help with burning the cd sorry for being noob
10. what exactly do you burn to make the kakewalk cd? because there isnt an .iso file in the zip file. some help me clarify? thanks in advance
11. gigabyte x58a-ud3r corsair 6gb ddr1600 wd750gb bfg 8800gt basically followed this tutorial, http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required i installed it using my ipod video. The first time it didnt load, had this timeout issue. restarted and it booted up to install screen. got to installing, but stopped at 28% with fail. Now i restarted and it wont even take me to the install screen. its just hanging in the grey screen, where its loading forever.
12. are you going to dual boot? because I am having trouble what i should do with dual booting with win 7- i want to install win 7 on one hd and then snow leopard on another second harddrive and dont know which route to take.
13. i have the same board as well. i havent installed yet, but i will try it tonight to see if i get any problems using kakewalk install. however, whats the best way to dual boot this? I want to install both OS on the same harddrive.
14. searched through some threads and havent found if this is fully working on this board. Can anyone confirm and if successful, what method to install? thanks in advance!!!
15. Hi Guys, It's been a while since I have last been here. I left when 8800 gt was not supported for the mac install and ever since I reformated my computer, I have thought I have dual booting with snow leopard. I apologize if this has been asked before and if so would someone kindly post a link to an install guide. anyways, I tried searching on this thread but didn't get any results. Has anyone tried installing snow leopard on a: Gigabyte p35-ds3l intel core 2 quard q6600 nvidia 8800gt? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
