  2. Hi All, I would like to replace macOS Sierra with macOS Mojave in a Sierra / High Sierra multiboot system in the same ssd (Asus P5G41T-M LX mb - Intel Core2Duo E8600 cpu - legacy-bios mode with Clover bootloader). Unfortunately both existing partitions are HFS + and I read that installing MacOS Mojave requires an APFS partition. Is it possible to format/convert, for example, the existing macOS Sierra partition from HFS+ to APFS without deleting the other existing macOS High Sierra partition? Thanks in advance for Your help
  3. update: the problem was due to the fact that folders and files created using linux on the partition ntfs (and on linux visible and accessible) had names containing special characters not compatible with windows (in which they are visible but not accessible) and macOS (on which they were not visible ). I solved by renaming folders by deleting special characters incompatible with Windows ('.' dot at the end of the folder name and ':' colon) and macOS (':' colon).
  4. What could be the problem?
  5. Thanks for the reply, I do not know if I understand well what you suggest but the folders have not been copied or created by mac in the ntfs partition. They were created under linux (I'm working in a multiboot system) and I would like to be able to access them from macOS. could the solution you suggest be equally useful?
  6. Hi All, Recently I noticed that some folders are not visible (while all the others are visible) on an external USB HDD (ntfs formatted) from macOS High Sierra and Sierra. Via Windows 10 or Linux all the folders in the same HHD are visible. Can it depend on the use of characters or symbols not allowed ? Which? (for example: folders like "Alghero - PPR" and "Use of the Soil 1: 25K 2008 - R.A.S." can not be seen) How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance for Your help

    Clover Theme Manager

Hi All, I installed Clover Theme Manager 0.76.3 on macOS 10.12.3 Sierra (legacy mode) but on the bottom of the application window a warning appears: "Launch Daemon & RC scripts not operational. Direct NVRAM will not be retained next boot. Clover Run Installer to fix." I had the same problem with OS X 10.11 El Capitan but was solved by re-running Clover installer (Selecting prefpanel and rc scripts options ). This time in macOS 10.12.3 Sierra the problem after reinstalling Clover remains. Does anyone have any suggestions about? Thanks in advance Edit: could be this problem due to the fact that my system is multi-boot with two separate HDD respectively "MacOS Sierra" and "El Capitan" (each with its EFI partition)? In the information bar at the top of the Clover theme Manager GUI I can read "NVRAM read from: / Volunes / El Capitan / nvram.plist" while the boot HDD is "MacOS Sierra" But I do not know how to fix it ....
  8. Thanks ... now it works! I installed the NVIDIA web driver (346.03.15f02 version for OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan 15G31) adding nvda_drv = 1 in the Config.plist file (with Clover Configurator) and everything seems to be fine (with both 10,1-14,2 Sysdef).
  9. Hi All, I replaced the graphics card with a new MSi GeForce GT 710 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_700_series) and eliminated the settings related to the previous card in the Config.plist file, but the boot process stops with a spontaneous restart. Using "nv_disable = 1" I could complete the boot process in a “safe mode”. After reading a lot of discussions about I tried changing system definition (using iMac 14.2 instead of iMac 10,1) or by adding the boot options npci=0x3000, npci=0x2000, PCIRootUID=1, without caches, but without solving the problem. Should I install the Nvidia web drivers or do I think there is some other kind of solution? Removed previous voodooHDA.kext and installed the new version 2.8.9, now works without pop at startup or background noise. Thank You again

    VoodooHDA 2.9.1

Hi All, I Installed the VoodooHDA.kext with VoodooHDA-2.8.8.pkg, corrected the annoying background noise using the VoodooHdaSettingsLoader.app utility controls (selecting “/AppleACPIPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/HDEF@1B” and “input gain” = 0) and it seems working good but the problem is that at every reboot I have to repeat all settings because it seems that they are not saved. Added the VoodooHdaSettingsLoader.app among the startup applications but did not solve the problem. Could this new version of VoodooHDA.kext fix this problem? I should just reinstall the VoodooHDA.kext-289 or even the VoodooHDA.prefPane-289? 13. Well...my doubt is: A - a unique Clover bootloader installed in the first EFI partition of the HDD B - more EFI partition on which to install Clover bootloader to each installation C - possible alternative solution I hope someone can participate in this discussion to help me about this problem (if possible). Thanks in advance
  14. Another question: I have assumed from what I read, a single boot loader on the boot partition and then a single configuration file, and possibly a single custom DSDT file etc..I understand you correctly?
  15. Yes, thanks again, i wanted to be sure I understand that Your answer was worth for older versions of OS X.
