  2. 10.6.3 Released !

Update went smooth. No issues. Rig as per my signature. 1. Deleted SleepEnabler.kext 2. Backed up Extensions folder just in case I would need it 3. Downloaded the 10.6.3 Combo update and applied the update 4. Reboot 5. Boot with verbose to make sure no obvious issues. 6. Audio working with updated AppleHDA.kext using LegacyHDA.kext -- Abhi
  3. 10.6.2 Released!

Deleted Sleepenabler.kext. Placed the new Sleepenabler from netkas's site .... Updated to 10.6.2 from Apple's Site. Everything working great so far ... sound still working (ALC889a). Sleep, shutdown still working.
  4. EP35-DS3R Tips

Works like a charm ... Thanks for this ... I now have 100% Vanilla with Sleep/shutdown and 64 bit kernel working with Bonjour Networking. Kexts used AHCIPortInjector.kext (works both on 32/64 since it is just an injector) ALC899A.kext (works both on 32/64 since it is just an injector) fakesmc.kext (64 bit v2 from netkas) OpenHaltRestart.kext (64 bit) NullCPUPowermanagement.kext (works both on 32/64) SleepEnabler (works both on 32/64) com.apple.boot.plist has got the video strings (for Nvidia 8800GTS 512MB) and Ethernet string for my MOBO..
  5. GA-EP35-DS3R : KP during first boot

That is real good news ... I have been reading few guides and came across your post ... I have the same MOBO .... could you possibly attach all the kexts you have used ..... I am gonna give SL a shot this weekend ... On another note has 10.5.8 update worked for you ..... i keep getting waiting for Root device error after USB errors .... -- newmacky
  6. 10.5.7 Released

Updated to 10.5.7 my Hackintosh. No issues whatsoever. Had to replace my AppleHDA.kext ... that's all. The machine restarted once on its own ... All good after the 1st restart.
  7. Mac OS 10.5.5 Out!

Hi, I just want to let everyone know that I updated to 10.5.5 on my Hackintosh. This update is safe for those who have virgin installations with Chameleon EFI installed. Others having patched kernels or AMD machined you will have to wait for an official release or a How-To from some of the brilliant folks in this forum !! Meanwhile I am updating on my Macbook Pro and I don't see any problem. Lets see if there are any improvements in Xbench scores ! will post later !! Edit: Sound disappeared from my Hackintosh !! looks like I will have to check my boot plist !! ~~newmacky
  8. Can u briefly give me ur installation method you have followed .... I have Retail Leopard and Windows Vista 64 bit Home Premium version on a MBR partition schema !! may be you could give it a shot ... Mind you though it is a lengthy procedure !! ~~
  9. So if I understand you right .... Here are the steps. 1. I already have Leopard 10.5.4 installed on partition 1 2. I plan to install Vista64 on Partition 3 3. Installing Vista will make Partition 3 as the active partition 4. So somehow I have to make Partition 1 Active 5. Finally once all this is done, I boot normally and when it asks me to enter partition to boot I simply select Partition 3 to boot into Vista? Please correct me If I am wrong. Also while I am at it, could you please help me with the steps to make Leopard partition as active partition. Thanks in advance ~~
  10. Same here ..... I have a complete virgin installation on my Hackintosh .... Only AppleHDA.kext and ACLInject.kext added/modified to my extension folder ... rest all extensions are present and not deleted by me !! Also Kaly's Hard Drive fix to Boot132 to chameleon enables me to boot without the CD. If only I can figure out dual boot with Vista64 I will be a happy camper .... ~~
  11. Modified boot-132 Bootloader

Lemme try that .... I was trying it with my Retail MAc DVD ... mebbe Windows would work ... I second you on that timer thing ... I restarted my machine once and forgot i have to hit enter at boot prompt ... came back home 2 hrs later .. expecting some downloads done ... my Computer was still sitting on the freakin boot prompt ..... LOL .... I read somewhere it is possible ..... just can't recollect where ... ~~
  12. Try using EFIStudio to add the correct device string to your boot.plist file ... I do not use any kext to make my graphic card work ... ~~
  13. i used Kaly's chameleon Boot Fix for hard drive ... now i can boot without Elastic's CD on my total Retail installation. However i noticed that I can no longer boot from my CD/DVD Drive on startup. My first boot drive is CD and sec is HDD.. I also changed the sec boot drive to Cd/DVD ... still no luck .. I couldn't even make the system recognize my Leopard Retail DVD ... Elastic's CD came to the rescue again !! and I was able to do a clean install after that .... -- Kaly ... any clue about this ???
  14. Modified boot-132 Bootloader

I second Boxer ..... Mods ... Please make this a sticky !!! BTW i used Kaly's chameleon Boot Fix for hard drive ... now i can boot without Elastic's CD on my total Retail installation. ~~
  15. Modified boot-132 Bootloader

wow this is awesome !! Glad it finally worked !! ~~ My system works amazing .. I havent really played much with it ... want to do some overclocking and such ... right now my Xbench score varies from 200-210 .... my system reads all the 4GB RAM (Vista 32-bit couldnt of crse) .. Video is amazing in 8800GT ... Apple 10.5.4 combo update plus the Device string in boot.plist did the trick for me .... In a nutshelll a super stable rig IMHO .. ~~ Honestly speaking I just left all the kexts in my folder ... and simply replaced AppleHDA.kext and put AVInject.kext ~~
