  1. [GUIDE] OSX Lion on non-GUID (works on final too)

Worked 100% with an Asus P5B and a Radeon 5770, thank you!
  2. bumping, this would interest me as well EDIT: just found this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=181726
  3. Why are iPod's so popular?

For me, my iPod feels like a little hi-tech luxury mp3 player. Apple just got it right. Also, CoverFlow makes it feel like I'm browsing my real library, and it's an entirely different way to navigate among your folders.
  4. EFiX: OSx86 gone commercial?

Although this is getting more and more off-topic, I must say that it's simply ridiculous how Apple just converts their hardware prices from dollars to euros in Europe... especially given the current exchange rate. The ultimate rip-off.
  5. AD1988B, Azalia, where to find?

Hm.. seems like I'm really daft Thanks for the link, it works perfectly for sound out... I don't need sound in, since I have a USB mic. The one that didn't work is taruga AD1988B rev 4 - not surprising, since it says that my asus p5b vanilla shouldn't work with any of those :/ Anyways, thanks again!
  6. Hey guys, I've spent the last 90 minutes (!) looking for where to download that *****ing Azalia kext for my leopard (10.5.3). It seems to be the only solution to get sound out of my onboard AD1988B sound chip (asus p5b motherboard). The taruga thingy doesn't work. Either I'm very stupid, or it simply cannot be found. Please help me out! I've already lost a few million brain cells and my hair has gone gray. :(
  7. Changing graphics card

I've just installed the 3870 drivers and rebooted with still the 2400 in... it's fine so far. I'll test the 3870 tomorrow, but it's 99% it will work . Thanks a lot!
  8. Changing graphics card

So basically... without touching anything, I install the hd3870 drivers right now with the old card, then shutdown, change cards, and it should work?
  9. Changing graphics card

Hey, I finally can upgrade my craptastic hd2400 to a hd3870 - should notice some increase in performance The question is: what should I do exactly, and in what order, so as not to break my current Leo installation? Should I leave in the old card, do some stuff, then change cards, or first change cards, etc...? On a side note: I'm running 10.5.3, and I have the hd2400 drivers for it installed, so right now I have QE/CI support. Thanks a bunch.
  10. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

2400 Pro: DVI doesn't work. Otherwise fine. Thanks!
  11. 10.5.3 Restart and Shutdown fixes?

    Ah, then it's great! Thanks.
  12. 10.5.3 Restart and Shutdown fixes?

erm.. err.. guys... I'm an idiot, but I've installed this power off fix, and only read *after* that it makes my PC use only 1 core... so how do I uninstall it? Having 2 cores is worth pushing that power button manually...
  13. Actually, i solved it - it was a botched up driver installation
  14. Nvidia G92 (8800GT) support in 10.5.2

Just a quickie: I've installed the new kexts etc., and so far, so good. My question is: once apple rolls out the real update, will simply installing it update my custom-installed kexts to the real one?
  15. Nvidia G92 (8800GT) support in 10.5.2

PM me your e-mail and I'll do it
