  1. Hi Chun-Nan, I just reinstalled my Leopard so I could have firewire functionality. From my expirience I can tell a few things: - Looks like there is a conflict in memory address assignation, so AppleFWOHCI won't be able to locate the firewire port. - Once you install any revision you cannot roll back to the previous configuration, let me explain myself, once FW is not detected, if you roll back to the original kexts FW it is still not detected. - Probably there is something extra we need to do in your kexts to get all the memory addresses setup correctly, if you can share your knowledge, I'm willing to help with the revision of the kexts. I think the problem I got with firewire is similar to the one that Slice got with AGPGART Thanks for all your work, Macpo
  2. Hi EqUaTe,Before installing Chun-Nan kext, my FW was working fine, it detected my edirol soundcard with no problems, so I know that the sound device I'm pluging in is supported. After I installed Chun-Nan FW port is intiallized but the system profiler doesn't recognize it and I can't plug anything to it. It is like if something has been reseted...But I don't know where to look. Thanks for our help,MacpoI'm using rev6.Macpo
  3. Hi Mariuz, I have this problem since rev1, the sysem profiler says "unable to list firewire devices". I have an Edirol sound card that goes with firewire, but it doesn't work at all. I think there must be a conflict between firwire kexts or something like that. The problem is that it is very difficult to troubleshoot, because all the firewire kexts load correctly or that is what the system says. Anyway if I find something I will let you know... Macpo
  4. Mariuz did you get your firewire working? Macpo
  5. Hi Chun-Nan I'll try the airport thing. I install all the kext using the chmod and chown thing. I didn't use the kext helper, do you thing it will make a difference? thanks, Macpo
  6. Hi Chun-Nan, I tried rev5 and still get "unable to list firewire devices" in the system profiler. I'm using stock version for AppleACPIPlatform.kext, IOACPIFamilly.kext and AppleACPI.kext. Do you know if it can be an IO or memory conflict? I don't know what to do, probably I'll have to wait till osx 10.5.2. Anyway, thanks for all your work... Macpo
  7. Thamks Chun-Nan for the kexts, I'll give them a try.
  8. Hi Chun-Nan could you send me your AppleACPIPlatform.kext Thanks, Macpo
  9. Hi Chun-Nan, I have tried the ACPIPS2Nub.kext you told me...with no luck. In the terminal if I get that firewire is active. But in the system profiler I get: "Unable to list firewire devices", and the firewire port doesn't work at all. Do you have any clue of what can be causing this? This is what I get on the terminal: bash-3.2# dmesg | grep PC Extension "com.apple.driver.ApplePCIConfigurator" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. IOPCCard info: Intel PCIC probe: TI XX12 rev 00 FireWire (OHCI) TI ID 803a PCI now active, GUID 080046030274eb9e; max speed s400. 10. Hi Chun-nan, First of all thank you for all the efford you have put in resolving this issue... I tried your rev3 and it works, but I have lost my firewire information. I'm using vanilla kernel and I have ACPIPS2Nub.kext. Could you please post the one you recompiled... Thanks, Macpo
