1. Update: I got my computer to boot - I'm so close - but can you please have a look to see what I might be missing: I built the system in October and only recently installed a Thunderbolt EXII card to use a BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle (thunderbolt) The device works fine in Windows 10. Memory Allocation Error: -Fixed the memory allocation error using a modified efi - OsxAptioFixDrv-99 Win10 -Installed Windows 10 on seperate SSD -Got the card working with the ASUS drivers, in the mini SB Slot 4x_1. (I also got it working in the NB x16_4 slot, but it works best in the SB slot with my other cards (Firewire, esata, and Nvidia 980). Otherwise a card is right below the Nvidia fan. -I *think* I updated the firmware properly, although the .bin file I updated was in the downloads folder - I know little about Windows, lots about real Macs. EFI on Boot Drive: -Removed all '32' files in the EFI -Removed all blank directories in the EFI. BIOS: I have a Asus x99 - Deluxe 3.1 board - Bios Revision 3004, 5820 intel i7. 32 Gig Ram. Once it worked in Windows, I set it to these settings for OSX per instructions I found online: Thunderbolt Settings in BIOS: Thunderbolt Specification Version 1.2 Intel Sample Code Version 1.1.2 Thunderbolt Host Chip: Falcon Ridge Intel Thunderbolt Technology: ON Security Level: Legacy Mode Wake from Thunderbolt Devices: OFF AIC Support: ON AIC Location Group SB PCIE Slot AIC Location: SB PCIE_X4_1 Thunderbolt PCIe Cache-line Size : 128 SMI/Notify Support: ON SwSMI Support: ON Notify Support: ON Ignore Thunderbolt Option Rom: ON THunderbolt SwSMI Delay: 0 TBT Device IO resource Support: OFF Reserved Mem per phy slot: 128 Reserved PMem per phy slot: 128 The device still is not detected. I have it configured as a Mac Pro 5,1 and under Thunderbolt it says "no drivers are loaded" if that helps at all.
2. I am still looking for some insight on this issue. Can someone take a look? Thanks
3. npci=1x2000 is a recommended boot flag on many install manuals I've seen. ?
4. Hi there, I installed Mac OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite with the RampageDev method using clover on an X99 system Asus X99 Deluxe with 3.1 USB card i7 5820k - 6 core, not overclocked yet 32 gig memory Zotec 980 NVIDIA Card Firewire Card Sonnet Tempo e4p 4 x eSata Card Sony Optiarc 5280 DVD RW When it boots to the login screen, it works beautifully, everything works really well. I've been getting these Kernel Panics as of late. Sometimes I'll get one, then it will boot fine. Sometimes 3-4, sometimes none. Edit: I repaired disk permissions and the issue still happens. Also.... the Ethernet internet connection sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, sometimes drops out (and then I have to turn it off, switch to Wifi. I think that these two issues may be related am I right? Once I even unplugged the ethernet cable and the whole machine rebooted itsself. Is there some kext I should remove / patch to help this issue? Has anyone else had an intermittent type problem like this, and do you know why? Thanks!
5. DVD Drive keeps ejecting

Thanks. I'm keeping this for later, just in case. It turns out that I had it plugged into a Sata Express port, which a friend suggested will work the same as the Sata port (as long as I had a sata cable only in it. It did not. I moved the DVD drive to another port, just "Sata" and it works fine now. Rick
6. DVD Drive keeps ejecting

Ok, so I took it back. I got a Sony Optiarc 5280s-cb plus and it's doing the same thing. I tried removing the sata cable with this one (just to check) - and it doesn't open without the sata port connected. I went into the BIOS and the drive was listed as first to boot. So I actually disabled the drive from being a boot option (the only option is the SSD now), and guess what, it's still opening. Frustrated with this.
7. Asus X99 Deluxe + 5960x - Stuck, please help!

Did you find a fix to any of these issues SoudForSoul? My ethernet cuts in and out - followed the Rampage Dev instructions to the letter. Wifi works, but that's not my ideal solution.
8. DVD Drive keeps ejecting

thanks - I didn't think about the power cable part. I will try that.
9. Hi, I bought an LG WH16NS40 blu-ray drive for my hackintosh (more specs below), and the computer keeps opening the drive upon boot up and such. I thought it might be an OS issue, but when I wiped the OS clean for a fresh install (I switched from the method that is not supported by this website to the clover rampage dev method) it kept doing it -- even in the in between when there was no OS on the system or anything, so I figure it's bios related?!. Right now, I decided to take the side off the case and unplug the damn thing because it's a pain. Any thoughts on how to fix? I suspect it's something in the bios, but I need some help please in problem solving. Thanks Mobo: Asus X99 Deluxe CPU: Intel 5820k Graphics: Zotec GTX 980 Amp! 10. Hi all, I just installed Yosemite on my first hackintosh, for the second time in a week. The first time I did it the long way following a set of instructions using ##### / Chimera then Clover, and I got it running, but it was having some issues... so I re-did the install using the Rampage Dev set of instructions using clover only, and for the most part it was fairly straight forward, and hassle free. It's been booting well for the past few days up until today - where I had two kernel panics, and then it booted fine afterwards, which I find odd. Can you please take a look at these two logs and let me know what is going on, and also, how to interpret it myself if possible? Also, seperately - I've got everything working when it does boot (nvidia web drivers, sleep, and audio etc as well) except for there is no audio when waking from sleep - if you have some help with how to fix that I'd appreciate it. I have seen some instructions about using some of the ##### software, but I am wondering if I should mix and match my install methods (or not) - i.e. tonymacx86 and rampagedev. Thanks a lot. Here's my system info: Mobo: Asus X99 Deluxe CPU: Intel 5820k Graphics: Zotec GTX 980 Amp!
