  1. After installing the 10.6.6 combo update, Marvin's AMD utility stopped working. Here is the log: Process: Marvin's AMD Utility [477] Path: /Users/andrew/Downloads/Don't Panic/Marvin's AMD Utility v.25.app/Contents/Resources/Marvin's AMD Utility.app/Contents/MacOS/Marvin's AMD Utility Identifier: Marvin's AMD Utility Version: ??? I am running the new legacy 10.6.6 AMD/Intel kernel and I really need to get this to work to patch the CPUIDs and make my system fully working.
  2. Ok I did some further testing and I noticed that Marvin's AMD Utility does not even launch on my computer anymore. I click on it, enter my password, but nothing else happens. Here is the log: Process: Marvin's AMD Utility [197] Path: /Applications/Marvin's AMD Utility v.25.app/Contents/Resources/Marvin's AMD Utility.app/Contents/MacOS/Marvin's AMD Utility Identifier: Marvin's AMD Utility Version: ??? Code Type: X86 (Native) Parent Process: applet [196] Date/Time: 2006-12-31 19:38:19.771 -0500 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.6.6 (10J567) Report Version: 6 Exception Type: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL) Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000 Crashed Thread: Unknown Backtrace not available Unknown thread crashed with X86 Thread State (32-bit): eax: 0x000000c5 ebx: 0xbffff128 ecx: 0xbffff038 edx: 0x00172839 edi: 0x00000000 esi: 0x00000000 ebp: 0xbffff094 esp: 0xbffff038 ss: 0x0000001f efl: 0x00010206 eip: 0x0017280f cs: 0x00000017 ds: 0x0000001f es: 0x0000001f fs: 0x00000000 gs: 0x00000000 cr2: 0x001390bc Binary images description not available I fixed the date and it still does not work. My second problem is that every time I restart I have to remove my motherboard's battery or else my computer won't launch. My CPU's fan just keeps spinning and nothing happens. After removing the battery, it works, but my BIOS tells me that there is a CMOS checksum error.
  3. I installed the 10.6.6 combo update on my 10.6.2 Hazard system but it froze why booting. Here is the last line: AppleNForceATA: found 0 units Anyone knows what could be wrong? I had installed the kernel before rebooting and I was using the legacy kernel (10.2) before. EDIT: Nevermind. I did a fresh install and it now works. I removed SleepEnabler.kext before installing the kernel this time which may have did it as the previous install was only 1 day old and I did not have time to install anything on it. Anyways, everything works now so I'm happy as can be.
  4. Compaq Presario CQ62-219WM Install Notes

I have had some success with the audio by using VoodooHDA.kext 2.7.1 for 10.5 on iPC 10.5.6. The exact file name is "VoodooHDA.kext.2.7.1-10.5". I tried other versions but it did not do anything. Using this kext, I was able to get the audio out working but with a lot of background noise and the mic working. The speakers "work" but they only a very loud and alarming sound as soon as you remove any external audio such as headphones. It seems like things might finally work out. With audio, I have everything I need. Of course QE/CI would be great but I doubt that this will be possible considering that somebody would have to create a completely new driver for GMA 4500.
  5. http://forbore.deviantart.com/art/Hardwood...-Logo-160646190 This is my first 3D wallpaper I ever do so please be nice. The logo was made on Google Sketchup and then imported to Photoshop Extended CS4. The floor & "wall" are from Oliuss' Hardwood night collection. I did it for myself so if you don't like it, well too bad. At first I was supposed to do a dock with a floating Apple logo on top but ended up doing a 3D room and using a 3D logo instead. You can share the wallpaper all you want as long as you don't use it for commercial stuff. Please comment as I'd like some feedback. The wallpaper is 1680x1050 so it should look nice on most widescreens. Thank You!
  6. Since I made the switch to 10.5.8 with iDeneb everything works as it did except for the sound. If I play anything with sound, except from QuickTime, it stops working after about 20 seconds. In QT, everything works perfectly well. I can't say if it works on iTunes 'cause it doesn't lauch on my computer. Also, when playing files for VLC, they play almost twice as fast as they should. And then it stops working(the sound) after ~20 secs. I am using Azalia audio drivers since I had the same problems with VoodooHDA. My sound card is intergrated into my nVidia nForce 570 ULTRA.
  7. iDeneb 1.6 OS X 10.5.8 Kernel Panic

I need 10.5.8. I can easily install 10.5.4 so that's not the prob. I want to get 10.5.8 to run.
  8. Cant get it install on my AMD...

So, anybody else has this prob?
  9. After corrupting my 10.5.5 install by trying to install the 10.5.8 combo update, I decided to try to install iDeneb 1.6 Lite 10.5.8. At first, I tried the vanilla kernel as this was the one I used in 10.5.5 but OS X never booted. Nothing would appear on that screen if I booted it in verbose mode. Then I tried Qoopz 9.8 kernel and after ~ 1 hour, while downloading something with Firefox, I got a kernel error. Text appeared over my work like the one in this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=185415 This is not the error I get. I dont have a camera for now. I rebooted and the same thing happened after ~10 min while DL'ing another file in Firefox. I decided to try to do something else than DL to check out if I'd get the error and I got the error after about 5 min while using Transmission. I tried the other 2 kernels but they did the same thing( Voodoo 9.8 and 9.5). My specs are in my sig. I will post my kernel error as soon as I can. Please reply if you have this problem and similar specs.
  10. Cant get it install on my AMD...

    It didnt fix it...
  11. Cant get it install on my AMD...

Thank you. I'll try that and see if it works.
  12. Cant get it install on my AMD...

Come on... SOMEBODY must be able to help.
  13. My Snow Leopard installation cannot boot as it says it cannot find the correct drivers for my platform. My PC specs are in my sig. I am running a kernel from AnV XNU(9.8) found here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=187214 I know thats prob not the right kernel but I have less probs with it than with test7. I have also tried modbin's test7 kernel but I gave me an error which you can see here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1246829 I use these kexts: http://img2.imageshack.us/img2/4346/kexts.png
  14. Cant boot Leopard anymore...

Also, my Snow Leopard installation cannot boot as it says it cannot find the correct drivers for my platform. My PC specs are in my sig. I am running a kernel from AnV XNU(9.8) found here:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=187214 I have also tried modbin's test7 kernel but I gave me an error which you can see here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1246829 I use these kexts: http://img2.imageshack.us/img2/4346/kexts.png
  15. I am trying to install SL on my PC. I already have Leo on it. In the process of installing SL on my AMD, I had to reinstall Chameleon. Now, whenever I try to boot Leo, I get an error saying that it cant find mach_kernel.test7 but this is the kernel that is used for SL not Leo. I looked in Leo's Extra folder and the kernel that is supposed to boot is mach_kernel. How can I make it boot mach_kernel instead of mach_kernel.test7 which is for SL?
