  1. Well some time last year I managed to get 10.4 running on my old rig. So I decided to get 10.5 a try on my new rig, to my surprise it actually went to the install screen. Firstly I used Disk Utility tool on the DVD to erase my 200GB sata HDD, and used the "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" setting and everything installed fine. I used the "Zephyroth AMD 10.5.2 Rev.1" DVD. Now.. the problem I had before was "Error Loading Operating System" i tried the "cat /usr/standalone/i386/boot0 > dev/rdisk#s#" thing and it didn't do anything. I reinstalled and now whenever I try to boot into OSX, all I get is a flashing underscore. No errors, no restarts, just a flashing underscore. EDIT: I've tried the Making Mac partition bootable commands: sudo -s fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX --->(X is the number of your HD, if you have only on its 0) update f X --->(X is the number of the partition where you installed Leopard) w q reboot but that didn't fix it =/ SPECS: Asrock ALiveXFire-eSATA2 AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+ Black Edition 2.60GHz (Socket AM2) OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2 (8GB soon) Sapphire's Radeon X800GT IDE Vistax32 40GB, SATA Backup 500GB, SATA OSX86 INSTALL 200GB

OtherHDDs: 500GB Hitachi SATA, 200GB Western Digital SATA So basically first up I ran into an ACPI error constantly after i burned OSX 10.4.8 JaS AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 incl. PPF1 to DVD. After updating my BIOS it was completely removed. Secondly many grapical errors, due to me installing some of the ATI/Radeon things on the JAS CD. If your rig is the same as mine or if you have an X800 GT do NOT install any of the ATI things on the disc. Finally I just installed with the AMD kexts and just the base system and to my surprise it worked perfectly, not a glitch. But now im currently left without sound, i believe my Creative Audigy card isnt compatible but i wonder if my built in one is, ADI AD1986A SoundMAX. Any help? or suggestions?

    Booted up without any commands and got this: Maybe I need to change something in my BIOS settings about my card.. hmm. Could my mobo's dual pci be doing it? ATI Radeon X800 GT should be compatible. Thanks for the advice, i'll fiddle around with it and see what i can do

    Booting Problem

    So I finally managed to get my OSX disc to install onto my 80GB IDE HDD, all went well. Except when I try to boot it gets stuck here: I am using Mac OS X v10.4.8 - JaS AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 incl. PPF1. (Yes the bottom two lines were added afterwards, but the picture was taken exactly before the bottom two lines) If anyone could help me solve this problem, i would be very greatful.   6. Okay so I managed to install OSX to the virtual parition in VMWare. But I was wondering if there was a way for me to install OSX to a HDD so that it could be run without VMWare and not emulated? Ive tried to install OSX by burning JaS 10.4.8 onto a disc but whenever I reboot my PC to install OSX I just get the "Unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI"." error =/
