  1. Thanks for the reply's guys. And don't waste your bandwith with downloading different DVD images from 10.4.3 or .4, It's NOT going to work. Maybe it's a setting in the BIOS or something. Let's put our computer details together and see if there is nothing specific that all our systems share (mine already listed). I have also tried installing OSx86 with HyperTreading and Dual CPU disabled.
  2. I don't think that will work either. I had the same problem when i installed 10.4.3. So this is a very rare problem??? Edit: i used the PPF as well, that should normally fix the diskutility problem. I think the problem is something else.
  3. I have a problem. I tried to install osx from the 10.4.4 install DVD (from De.mon.oi.d)(+applied ppf). The installer runs fine but then, when it's at the point to install the "Essential software" (just after the Base installation), the installer says that it can't continue to install the essential software. and i have to reinstall osx. From the installerlog it says:" BOMFILE ERROR2: NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY-./SYSTEM/LIBRARY/PRIVATE FRAMEWORKS/APPLE80211.FRAMEWORK/VERSIONS/A/RECOURCES/APBINARY2.DAT ." I think this problem isn't from the DVD because a month ago, when i tried to install 10.4.3. the same thing happened. I thought it was something with the DVD so i waited until the 10.4.4 version. Now i got the same problem again. Osx86 10.4.1+ the update worked good on my computer. here are some details: I did a full install on blank extern HD, with diskutility (journaled). My computer: Dell 9150, P4 (D) 840 HT. dualcore 3,2 ghz. Geforce 7800GTX. SSE3+NX. Anyone know what's going on? I need this so hard. THANX
  4. osx86 10.4.4 dvd installer out in the open

A few minutes ago i installed osx from the install DVD (+applied ppf). The installer runs fine but then, when it's at the point to install the "required programs" (just after the Base installation)(i forgot the correct name), the installer says that there is a problem occured and that i have to reinstall osx. This problem isn't from the DVD because a month ago, when i tried to install 10.4.3. the same thing happened. I thought it was something with the DVD so i waited until the 10.4.4 version. Now i got the same problem again. Osx86 10.4.1+ the update worked good on my computer. here are some details: I did a full install on extern HD, with diskutility (journaled). My computer: Dell 9150, P4 (D) 840 HT. dualcore 3,2 ghz. Geforce 7800GTX. SSE3+NX. Any suggestions?
  5. osx86 10.4.4 dvd installer out in the open

What do you mean with clean? a full installer. then yes. And no. you can't use mx.us update but you shoudn't care. Find the final ppf file on demon. Patch your dvd and then while installing it should update to 10.4.5 automatically. I'm still downloading the image. Tomorrow i'll try it out.
  6. 10.4.4 Security Broken

Damned MAXXUSS, YOU DID IT AGAIN!! Is there anything you can't hack? I don't think so. Great job, thanks. Now, how does this crack work? Replace some files? I'll take a look at his site.

...groetjes vanuit Belgie.
  8. Update 10.4.1 to 10.4.3

Go for the 10.4.3 DVD installation. I have the updated version working and i have several problems; -very slow reading (cd/dvd)/ 3x slower burning then normal. -less stability, you can expect more app crashings. -i changed the build number to 10.4.4 to make ilife06 app. work, that messed up my whole osx. The finder was restarting every second so i coudnt select anything. Had to reinstall osx86. These are just a few reasons why you should go for 'the real thing'. Also there are a lot more applications compatible with the full 10.4.3 (8f1111) version.
  9. Today i start my osx86 (on my extern hd) and the Finder is constantly restarting. My desktop dissapears, then comes up, then dissapears again,... this situation over and over again. I can open only a few programs, like internet explorer, Bits on wheels and Toast. I can't select anything from my desktop, so i can't go into my hd. When i select system preferences in the menu, after a second it crashes ( just like all the other app). Is there anything i can do to stop the god damn Finder? Maybe a safe start and delete something? I can't also edit 'dissapears' into 'disappears', but that has nothing to do with my osx. Hmmm i can't edit anything and when i select postreply en type something in, it comes under my first sended message. Is this normal or is there something strange going on with my computer? You see, it happens again.
  10. Best P2P for Osx86?

I'm downloading Ilife06 for 80 hours now, and i have only 50% done. In the beginning i was downloading with transmission at a high speed, because it slowed down to 2 kb/s i switched to bits on wheels, now at 5 kb/s. There are a lot of seeders now and it still slows more and more down. I tried also Tomato, witch sucks. I know Azureus is the very best but it doesn't work. I tried everything (chmod, rosetta) but no luck. It launch for a second and then stops again. I'm using the 10.4.3 update. Any suggestions? Also is it possible to download a torrent with two programs at the same time? I'm trying it out right now with transmission and bits on wheels. They are downloading together at 17 kb/s.
  11. boot from external hd?

If your computer can boot from USB you can run OSx86 on your extern HD. In your BIOS first select ' boot from cd drive'. Put in your install dvd. Select DiskUtility and format your HD to journaled HFS. After installation, when you are in osx restart. Then select in your BIOS boot from USB as number 1. That should work. I have a dell 9150 with extern Lacie HD. Works great.
  12. Flip4Mac

I didn't have to change anything, the 2 files were already in the 'Internet Plug-Ins' folder. Anyone got it working on intel?
  13. Best P2P for Osx86?

Guys, transmission is the very best. I never heard before from it but i'm using it for one hour now and it's very fast. Before i used bittorrent (Azureus don't work) for osx86 and it was downloading at 10-25 KB/s maximum. I launched transmission and after 3 minutes it was downloading at 80-200 KB/s. It also connect very fast to peers. So transmission rules!!
  14. Hi all, i tried to get my geforce 7800gtx to work but no luck. I replaced my device/vendor id (about tab in osx) in the nvidia.kext but my card isn't shown up and no kext is loaded. I tried to copy a video_ts by throwing it to my desktop but then i get the error: 'you don't have the priveleges'. How could i fix this? Also when i run xbench i have only 12 from 'drive'. This isn't normal.
  15. I don't now what version it is but i tried it with 10.4.1 and the update to 10.4.3. With both of them my dvd drives works very slow. And the strange thing, when i use a program to copy a DVD-video (like mactheripper, dvdbackup, osex), they all crashes. EDIT: maybe i need to get my videocard working first. I'll try it.
