  1. Coming to the thread late, but do the latest ErmaC mods mean that the HD 4400 as found on the i3 4130 actually works with QE/CI? or is it just the HD4400 as found on the i5-4200U? Would be amazing if i3-4130 was supported.

Anyone managed to get the AA1 with IPC to run in clamshell mode? i.e external monitor only with usb keyboard & mouse, integrated LCD off/undetected. I'm trying to make my netbook into pseudo AppleTV using frontrow/rowmote. I'm bounced around all the available gma950 kext in this thread and removed clamshell.kext - should I be doing something different?
  3. Acer Aspire One A150: iPC OSx86 10.5.6

Thanks for the hints. I managed to solve it last night in a slightly different way after reasling it was due to the sound system not waking before shutdown. I installed the system pref from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/systems...stemSound50.zip and recorded my own 8 seconds with WireTap. I dropped the sound file into /System/Library/Sounds, and selected it to play at shutdown. It might be that this only works for my user, whereas the solution in AAO zip pack works globally. EDIT: doesn't seem to work 100% - switching to the AAO zip solution

Didn't realise it was only the LHS reader - Card shows up if I boot with loaded :-) My kernel panic on shutdown seems to be back - not sure why. Could be worth holding back on the those GMA950 drivers as either them or the addition of bluetooth that broke AppleHDA. Kernel panic only happens if I'm running on battery. so not related to bluetooth, GMA950 etc. Need to get myself a working power/battery kext.

Thanks for a great guide - easy to follow and it all nearly all works, I just switched my AA1 from iATKOS image as it didn't seem to want to hiberate to IPC. I installed the GMA950 drivers linked in the 1st post, however I found they didn't like having a secondary display attached, so I've switched them for these http://perso.numericable.fr/sbmordino/GMA950.pkg.zip which solves the graphic corruption. While the mic works in System Pref, ichat doesn't seem able to use it - is this standard? For bluetooth I'm was using a Sitecom CN-512 usb adapter as it fully working and it supports isync to my K800i, and bluetooth headset (This was under iATKOS with a vanilla Kernel) Update: with IPC it's crashing the voodoo kernel on shutdown. It initital showed up and started the setup process with my phone, but it's now 'corrupted the registry' will releasing AppleHDAController Update2: removing Bluetooth devices from System Preferences,Network allows the machine to shutdown correctly again. I'm not sure how the SD slots are meant to work, the Icon appears on the menu bar with repeating Unknown Vendor, Base System Peripheral, Power Off Card. Nothing appears in finder if I insert a SD card though.
  6. I was a Mac user before becoming a Hackintosh users, and love my Hackintosh for it's £ vs performance. I've had 2 low end Macbooks, an original 1.83 CS and then the upgraded base model 2.0GB C2D (after selling the 1.83 to my parents). I do tend to swap between machines depending on what I'm playing with; - the hackintosh is running the off an official Macbook HDD as I've upgrade the Macbook(s) so hasn't a load of space, but used for Web, garagesale, and itunes streaming. - the Macbook is my primary machine, running my various Unix and Windows VM's + core apps, etc I would hate to break the hack, but I enjoy the tweaking and finding out how OS X and hence how my Macbook works. It' helps me understand EFI, plus gives me exposure to OSX syncing (next plan is to build a dotmac server). Plus is great to buy a new machine, overclock it and learn again what hardware works well together. If Apple made a headless machine that run with a decent graphics card, that didn't cost a fortune I would replace the hack, but for those times I want to play in WinXP I need the performance. I don't like all in ones as they can't down graded to servers in the future, my hack will be. Long live Hackintosh! I wouldn't have build you if I wasn't a OSX user oh BIG WOW! I'm currently running my hackintosh without *ANY* HDD. Put it sleep last night. Opened the case, removed the drive and power it up. Confused me completely as I'm holding the OS X drive in my hand, but OSX is still on my screen Everything that was running is still running, aka terminal, finder, firefox, but browsering the HDD amazing isn't working Try that on windows!
