  1. I figured out my sound card is the sac9205 - no current driver... *Edit - Luckily I have an external USB digidesign MBOX for now Also I have successfully upgraded to 10.5.2 - Inspiron 1720 B
  2. Hi. I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 and I have everything working but sound. Dell says it's a Sigmatel sac92XX. I tried the applehda patcher and many different drivers. Any ideas? Here's what is working on Leopard 10.5.1 Kalyway Nvidia 8600gt - full 1920px wide core2duo 2ghz - both cores bluetooth webcam firewire built in ethernet - intermittent - loses connection often usb ethernet - works great dell 1390 wireless power management

Used Kalyway boot dvd - vanila and mbr only specs: Core 2 duo 2.0 2 gigs ram video - nvidia 8600 mobile 512mb - works @ full 1920 with - http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=83931 audio - sigmatel 92xx and digidesign mbox - can't get either to work, tried 3 dif drivers from this site for the sac wireless - intel - not working ethernet - worked right away with built in drivers built in webcam - worked immediately keyboard, trackpad, mice worked immediately *edit - bluetooth, firewire, and cd/dvd burner also worked immediately leopard reports my machine as: Model Name: Mac Model Identifier: Mac Pro Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 2 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Boot ROM Version: Hack.int.0sh Any input on the soundcards would be great! Tried 3 drivers from this site for the sac with no luck...
  4. so no partition, just blank space?B*edit - the batch file says : dd bs=1048576 if=leopard-x86-flat.img of=\\?\Device\Harddisk2\Partition1so if there is no partition won't it error out?ok so now I just have a raw unformatted partition and this is the error:
  5. Hi. I need help with my flat image install. I have the batch file running fine, but no matter how the external drive is formatted, it makes the partition inaccessible. Windows and macdrive show that the partition must be formatted to be accessed... It can be accessed fine before I run the extraction. I have tried formatting the partition ntfs, fat32 and hfs+ before running the batch file, all with the same result.. What am I doing wrong? B
