  1. https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/3sk79z/osx_1011_el_capitan_on_thinkpad_t510_4313cto/ Above is link to active conversation for El Cap on the T510. I'm running it fairly successfully right now as a matter of fact.
  2. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I know... I believe you 100%. As for the other FB from Yosemite, I tried that one also, but it ends up with a scrambled screen, this is so weird. I need to use Natit until DSDT is patched though, right? Last time it took me a while to get it all working but eventually it did. Might I need to force the resolution or inject Intel in the clover settings?
  3. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

You were right. It's the (supposedly properly patched) DSDT I have. I eliminated and it boots to desktop just fine without the FB without QE/CI. However still no luck with normal LW1 patched frame buffer. I'll keep trying the LW1 versions and see if I luck out. At least I get to a workable system though.
  4. [GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Hey GhostRaider, would you mind taking a look at my Yosemite FB and let me know what will work for El Cap? I have tried ALL the frame buffers in your file, and none of them work for me, this is the file that works properly for my Yosemite install. It's just not firing up the graphics, looks like the system itself is running just fine, no errors, just ends at a stalled console in El Capitan. It just never flips on the GUI from there and sits. 5. 10.11 Final KP Clover EFI

Running into the same issue. Any success? This is mystifying...
  6. Installation Guide for 10.10 DP1 - USB

Can you explain how you did this above? I can't figure it out. I can't get Clover to boot anything without that ACPI panic error. Either Yosemite installer, or my installed and perfect Mavericks install. I am sure it's a clover issue but I'm stumped. Any help is apprecuated.
  7. I'm on a T510, working great now. Bulletproof operations make this a real workhorse machine. Internal LCD, sleep, backlight after sleep, etc. all working well. Speedstep is properly working according to HWMonitor. Other than the card reader (no great loss), with one minor thing, this laptop would be a true HackBook Pro... The external VGA and/or DisplayPort out - using as extended desktop, would be amazing. Is this possible with the Intel only graphics model? I don't have nVidia.
  8. Preinstall 10.9 & 10.8 reboot loop

I just realized that I gave up on the USB installer on this machine and instead put the HD onto a real Mac and installed Mavericks from there. Then I tweaked the HD to remove the extensions... I never got the installer to work as I kept getting garbage on the screen . Not sure if that's an option for you but that might make life easier?
  9. Preinstall 10.9 & 10.8 reboot loop

Obviously, also make sure you fix any permissions on the S/L/E folder after adding or removing anything...
  10. Preinstall 10.9 & 10.8 reboot loop

Try removing the NVDAXXXX extensions from the USB installer. These laptops appear to be a little finicky in their video drivers and detection. Where in the process does it loop? Can you see where it ends when you boot verbose? (-v) ?
  11. With Ludacrisvp's DSDT I get sleep and backlight working, but I cannot seem to keep the fan from running constantly. Is that something to do with SpeedStep, and if so, how to get that working? This is getting closer to being perfect... just a little more and it will be my daily machine
  12. Sleep works. Edit: Audio now works with most recent VoodooHDA kexts in M*beast. Thanks again ludacrisvp!
  13. DUDE! You are the man. I had given up on Mavericks on this T510. I knew it was something simple though, whatever you had in your DSDT and/or those kexts finally did the trick. I've been messing around with framebuffers, video kexts, and all kinds of stuff, but I threw your extensions in S/L/E and E/E and all is well. Even the backlight works! Now, I need to test sleep and this thing is nearly 99% perfect! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
  14. Using this procedure to fix a Mavericks installation on a Lenovo T510. Question: I cannot boot into the installer, but I can boot into 10.8.5 which is on the current internal hard drive. Will this work to get the proper value for the EDID, or do I need to somehow get into Mavericks, would it change between system versions? 10.8.5 works great on this machine, QE/CI and everything. Just 10.9 boots into garbage screen, or stays in console mode (no GUI).
  15. Thanks, I've tried multiple framebuffers in the past using the QE/CI post, and even patching my own using Giofrida's patcher with the output from the text file dump on linux. The worst part is its working 100% in 10.8.5 even with QE/CI! Strange! I'll definitely try this post above though - it looks promising, even if it's from 2010...
