  2. How to boost the OS X boot process...

sorry i misunderstood your post, is this an absolute proof for you: #include "/Users/***/Projects/private_data.h" // Remove me! look at what we can do with a text file: #include "/Users/MasterChief/Projects/private_data.h" // Remove me! or #include "/Users/ANYNAME/Projects/private_data.h" // Remove me! sometime i just create fake user on my computer only because binary file also contain the patch where the project is stored, sometime i use the nickname jean, steve , bill ..... my current osx account is cparm, do you think cparm is my real name ?? edit: sorry, it seems that another team member have closed this topic while i was writing this post. and i will not re-open it .
  3. How to boost the OS X boot process...

patch name is not enough to load the lion cache properly since the format of the cache also changed, you need to thin it before, otherwise you will get a Mach-o error plus the cache patch of lion and snow is exactly the same ( /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache) , for lion there is nothing to do to find the cache, for snow ( and only snow) u need to add at the end '_i386(or _x86_64).THEADLER32VALUE' to find it, and i already admit that my adler32 patch is inspired from revolution, but it only work with snow, lion cache don't need this adler32 fix
  4. How to boost the OS X boot process...

nobody can be 100% sure of anything, it's the magic of life, but more seriously I have access to certain tools and informations that you can not see, and it is an accumulation of evidence and the warning of some other members that cause I do not believe it for me until he wrongly accused me, nothing (even if double account is forbidden, i had made this choice for the good of the community), for me only, i'm not the only staff member at insanelymac ...
  5. How to boost the OS X boot process...

i also think that he is doing a great work, but when he say that i have steal his work, it's not true, the revision 636 is the last version of revolution that i have downloaded.. btw, his account is still valid, and he can come back if he want
  6. How to boost the OS X boot process...

sorry, but the exact reason why i advised to disable this line is actually because i wasn't aware of this modification in load.c before that netkas pointed me to this modification in his own sources

  8. hi RunningJumper, i think that you should try: "Instant Menu"=Yes (w/o quotes)
  9. AnVAL (ACPI Loader)

hi, as JBraddock said to you, the bootloader will load them automatically if you put them to your extra folder, but first you got to rename them to ssdt-0.aml ssdt-1.aml ssdt-2.aml etc... then add / modify those keys in boot.plist: <key>oemSSDT</key> // optional: set it to No or remove it <string>No</string> <key>DropSSDT</key> // it will drop all ssdt tables found in bios, and at the end, add the chosen tables to the new acpi structure <string>Yes</string>
  10. 10.6.6 released

the driver have not been updated, so if it used to work before, it will also work after the update
  11. 10.6.6 released

10.6.6 work really well, and now i'm surprised by how fast osx can boot with my bootloader (~ 10 spinning now, ~ 20 spinning before, and no more "waiting for dsmos ..."), I'm anxious to see the sources edit: my bench scores are even better than before, i still don't know what happened with my previous install
  12. 10.6.6 released

i just re-installed a 10.6.6 on a fresh install and everything work fine now (the app store crash gone), even performances (i'm currently re-installing all my apps one by one), and i use exactly the same configuration as before (drivers, bootloader + config files, sysctl.conf), but this time no problem
  13. 10.6.6 released

no, 3.16ghz is the native frequency for my C2D e8500, and everything is fine (or seems to be fine) in sysctl, sysprofiler and ioregistry, really i don't understand, if i got some time to loose i will investigate further and try to upgrade to 10.6.6 on a fresh install, but for now i need my performances back, so back to 10.6.5.
  14. 10.6.6 released

no change, id changed to imac9.1, i even try to use my old ssdt files instead of the pss and cst generator, but i still have bad performances
  15. 10.6.6 released

for me : before geekbench : ~ 4800 cinebench(cpu test): 1.85 after: geekbench : ~ 4500 cinebench(cpu test): 1.07 what ever the bootloader that i use. so no app store for me
