  1. Hi kizwan, I've got ethernet running now. Twas a stupid typo that i made when i rechecked my info.plist. Thanks as well to Chun-Nan. Patience was the order of the day here. Now it's just the intel 3945 wireless that need's attention. At the moment i can live with a wireless USB dongle.
  2. I've been actualy looking for a solution since Tiger. I've read from one of the many posts in this forum that the 88E8038 on Acer laptops is a bit tricky. The ethernet card could not be detected. Nor would it show up on the hardware info/system profiler. Tried the old editing plist trick before with no luck and then i chanced upon this thread.
  3. Tried rev7 and edited AppleYukon2 then had this trying to solve my Acer's 88E8038 prob. Any ideas? 4. Followed the instructions, rebooted twice then all is ok. Thanks a lot.
  5. Intel 3945ABG too. Been following the development thread on it and i think there's been a breakthrough lately. Hope it won't be long though.

    iAtkos users -- Safari Question

    Using Iatkos here. It's unchecked.
  7. Yep, something's still wrong with power management. At least i got the battery meter back for now.
  8. i also used the AppleACPIPlatform.kext from the iatkos disc. Thanks for the tip. Battery meter and power management options are now available.

    Latest Safari DMG

I've posted on that thread. Have you tried it yet? Let me know how it goes. Cheers.

    Latest Safari DMG

It actually depends on what version you are running, if it's 10.4.9, you can update safari to latest by downloading 10.4.11 Combo update and use pacifist to selectively install/extract. Safari 3 is included in that update.

    Safari 3 without 10.4.11 upgrade?

right-click safari 3 app after you've installed it using pacifist, "Show Package Contents", go to MacOS folder inside, and double-click the "Safari" filename. Terminal shall open, listing the Framework dependencies that need to be upgraded. Take note of the framework dependencies, Java is one, i forgot the other, then install using pacifist from the 10.4.11 Combo Update from apple. As an addition, you can find the needed Framework dependencies on the 10.4.11 Combo Update thru Pacifist by sorting through the System/Library/Frameworks package. Safari 3 runs on my laptop running 10.4.9. Good Luck.
