  1. Geforce Titan

    OK I'm going to pitch in here and say categorically it doesn't work on either a Mac Pro or a Hack. Having tried various methods of getting it going and its currently a no go. I intend on looking into this further after the Easter break, but I wouldn't hold your breath for anything happening anytime quickly. Just to save the questions this is where I am. The card is booting with full resolution (EFI mode with Clover) to the Apple logo and the spinner and then crashes. As to what is currently causing that crash is unbeknown to me. I will update as and when I have something to update with. /me back in hiding....
  2. RevoBoot

    Yep, Samsung 470 SSD Thinking about having a play with a RevoDrive. I motherboard is capable of loading a efi executable. So I'm going to try and get it to directly load the Revoboot 'boot' file and that should shave another second off. I'll get some video footage when I get back from work tonight... the machine as a whole screams!!! Edit: Sorry I stop using RevoBuilder and just built by hand. But I would imagine it was because I am running duel screens.
  3. RevoBoot

    Pulled code down in a sperate directory. Copied my relevant data.h (EFI, SMBOIS and CPU) into the correct locations. Made the relevant changes to settings. Compiled and boom not a problems... Which is really strange as the when I diff the two directorys they are identical Any how, Now booting to the desktop in about 3 seconds!
  4. RevoBoot

    For sure, will give it ago when I get back from work.
  5. RevoBoot

    Upon compiling RevoBoot I get the below error ================= make all for boot2 ================= /bin/mkdir -p /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2 cc -Wa,-n -c -I. -I.. -I/Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/sym/i386 -I../libsa -I../libsaio -I../util -arch i386 -o /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/boot2.o boot2.s cc -Os -Oz -arch i386 -g -Wmost -Werror -fno-builtin -DSAIO_INTERNAL_USER -static -DMAKE_TARGET_OS=`echo 2;` -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -fno-align-functions -fno-stack-protector -march=pentium4 -msse2 -mfpmath=sse -msoft-float -c -I. -I.. -I/Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/sym/i386 -I../libsa -I../libsaio -I../util boot.c -o /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/boot.o \ -MD -dependency-file /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/boot.d md -u /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/Makedep -f -d /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/boot.d cc -Os -Oz -arch i386 -g -Wmost -Werror -fno-builtin -DSAIO_INTERNAL_USER -static -DMAKE_TARGET_OS=`echo 2;` -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -fno-align-functions -fno-stack-protector -march=pentium4 -msse2 -mfpmath=sse -msoft-float -c -I. -I.. -I/Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/sym/i386 -I../libsa -I../libsaio -I../util bootlogo.c -o /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/bootlogo.o \ -MD -dependency-file /Users/nforcemac/tmp/RevoBuilder/RevoBoot_SourceCode/RevoBoot-1.0.21/obj/i386/boot2/bootlogo.d bootlogo.c: In function ‘showBootLogo’: bootlogo.c:186: error: expected ‘)’ before numeric constant bootlogo.c:186: error: expected ‘)’ before numeric constant make[2]: *** [bootlogo.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [all] Error 2 make: *** [all] Error 2 Using the most recent version of Revobuilder.   6. Toshiba L655-S5112

    Which out of the 4 models of the L650 is it? But in simple answer to your question, yes... with a little work.
  7. Can we disable one of two PCIx slots?

    Not without some BIOS hacking, one option would be to port your motherboard over to Coreboot ( This is easy if your chipset and SuperIO is already supported by Coreboot ) and in the devicetree.cb set the device to off. You could easily hack in a flag to switch them on and off. If you would like more information let me know and I'll divulge what I can. I'm currently looking at adding Chameleon as a payload and purely using Coreboot to bootstrap the hardware.

    Hey guys, Fighting with Leopard at the minute. The good news is I'm winning keep a check here and on my site (I may be releasing something in the very very near future (tonight or tomorrow morning). Look forward to talking to your later!
  12. Calling all NForce6 users!

    Morning all! Really need to see the full kernel panic, you need to have both Ps/2 kb and mouse or both USB not one or the other. as fair as the loginwindow goes post that kernel panic and we'll see whats going on! Here's hoping! Its cool! Try enabling the second core after the leopard installation and see were that gets you. Post back the results! I think it has something to do with the way the chipsets work on these boards and due to the major lack of MCP51/55 chipset drivers may be our problem.
  13. Calling all NForce6 users!

    We can use my installer to get a dual core kernel DO NOT install the 8800 drivers they will trash your install! I believe to graphics card is compatible with OS X you just need the correct NVinject.kext
  14. Calling all NForce6 users!
