  9. [RESOLVED] PCI Card RTL8139

Hi! Have you tried this?: Before installation disable LAN on bios settings. Once you get SL installed delete AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext from IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns Then copy PCGenRTL8139Ethernet.kext to IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns and fix permissions: sudo -s chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext Reboot and enable LAN on Bios settings. Now LAN may work. I don't remember where i found that kext. Sorry PCGenRTL8139Ethernet.kext.zip

  11. Wifi works in 32 bit kernel mode only. You have to install the wifi package from Realtek site for RTL8187L Booting in 64 bit kernel doesn't work with these drivers. You will get a KP. h++p://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=1&Level=6&Conn=5&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true replace ++ by tt Look at the RTL8187L section. There are MacOS, Tiger, 10.4, 10.5 Driver 1309, UI 1.5.1 ( Support Both of Intel and PowerPC Platforms) version 1309 Kind regards, Smoc

  15. Hi! Try to apply Time machine Fix. You can try PCWiz's Universal OSx86 Installer (UInstaller) selecting your Snow Leopard boot disk in the combo box and selecting the check box "Apply Ethernet EFI String (Time Machine Fix)" only. That adds to your com.apple.Boot.plist an string like this: <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0000000001010600051c0 101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string> The next is my com.apple.Boot.plist complete: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string></string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>None</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0000000001010600051c0 101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string> </dict> </plist> P.S.: I Hope this works for you as well as me Sorry for my English.
