  1. Hi, Hoping someone can help on this. I tried to follow your tutorial but EFI Studio says, 'Device path not found. Ethernet not available on this machine'. I have a working kext for my ethernet (Realtek) which is working (I'm using it now to type this) and it is on en0. I looked up ioregistryexplorer, found my ethernet connection on en0 and there is a property for IOMulticastAddressList with a huge long key like yours - 01 00 5e 7f ff fa 01 00 5e 00 00 fa 01 00 5e 00 00 01 01 00 5e 00 00 fb 33 33 00 00 00 fb 01 80 c2 00 00 03 33 33 ff b8 7d 5b 33 33 00 00 00 01 33 33 ff 2b 97 d3 Could I use that in deviceproperties in org.chameleon.Boot.plist?

    hd2400 + leopard

Hi phcahill, My motherboard is an Asus P5G33 with an Intel 2.2Ghz core 2 duo. I have attempted to disable the onboard graphics card by choosing PEG/PCI in the boot GPU section of the bios, and 'disable' in the onboard graphics adaptor part. This hasn't made a difference. It still hangs on a huge page of text about nodes and driver. There must be some difference between the iAtkos version of Leopard and the Kalaway version. Is the Kalaway version a vanilla kernel? Is there anywhere I can find out what the differences are? Maybe there is an extra patch in the Kalaway version that isn't in the iAtkos. Is there a way to boot into osx86 in a safe mode? like in windows?

    hd2400 + leopard

Hi phcahill (and anyone else who can help), I have a 2400 HD Pro with exactly the same dev id as you. I downloaded the triakis package, installed and edited the info.plist of the ATIRadeonX2000.kext and changed the <key>IOPCIMatch</key> so that it was included in the list. However, with the card in the machine, osx86 refuses to boot, hanging on a page of text about nodes. With the card removed and the VGA cable plugged into the onboard graphics the machine goes fine. The card works great in Windows XP on the other partition, so it is an OSX86 issue. I have Leopard 10.5.1 installed from the iATKOS DVD with efi. Did you have to do anything else to get the card to work? Changes to bios? Firmware change? Any other packages downloaded? Thanks for any help.

ATI Radeon HD (2x000) Device ID's Wanted!

Serjudo, we have the same device ID (94c3) but my Club 3D 2400 PRO 256Mb won't boot OSX86 when inserted. Did you have to do anything to the bios to make it work? Or change the firmware on the card? What kexts did you use? Any help would be most appreciated.

    AppleHDA Patcher Results

Computer Type: PC - Asus P5-G33 - ICH9 Sound Card Vendor: Realtek Sound Card Model: ALC883 Vendor Id: 0x10ec0883 Working: Nothing Not Working: Everything Patcher Version used: 1.17, 1.18, 1.19, 1.20 System Version: Leopard 10.5.1 obs: I can't get the patcher to do anything. It worked fine in Tiger, but in Leopard it just sits there when I place a dump on top of it. No output at all - like it isn't running at all. Is this a permissions problem or something? I've tried loads of different HDA patchers and about 4 different dumps downloaded from here, plus of course my own one (attached). Any help would be most appreciated. Taruga: Try the attached installer (ALC883Installer) . Good luck Hi Taruga - Thanks for the installer. Worked perfectly. Have sound again - yay! Mic appears to be going too. Thanks for all your hard work. alc883dave.txt

    Anybody tried iATKOS?

works, install was easy. just had to do the darwin boot loader thing. can't get my ethernet to work (gigabyte marvell 80856) or my sound (alc883). Patches that previously worked on tiger don't seem to work and can't get apple HDA patcher to work in leopard. will keep googling for help. My system: Intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz Asus P5G33 - Intel chipset with GMA3100 graphics onboard 2Gb ram 320Gb HD SATA drive last comment - leopard looks a bit dull compared to tiger...anyone else agree?
  9. damn and blast - I hosed my system with this efi thing. Nothing happens when trying to boot osx86 now. It just keeps rebooting. Is there anyway to remove the efi thing and get back to booting how it was before? If not, can I reinstall from the XxX 10.4.11 disc and retain all my settings?
  10. My OSX86 partition is the second one (hda 0,1) what should the efi command be in ./startupfiletool /dev/rdisk0s1 ./boot_v8 it says in the tutorial to change the device if you don't have OSX on the first partion of first disk. (not sure what that means). should it become /dev/rdiskOs2?

Hi BlackChungo, I installed your 10.4.10 disc and got everything up and working great (other than my motherboards Intel GMA3100 graphics but guess I will have to buy a graphics card to solve that). Can I do an install with the new 10.4.11 DVD and it will keep all the apps I have downloaded? Or does it format the HD partition? Thanks for the great work. Much appreciated. Keep it up.
