  1. HDCP protected content from iTunes plays perfectly on my setup. I have the iGPU and init first set to auto and use AppleALC, Lilu and WhateverGreen.
  2. Sorry for the late reply. The only way to get it working seems to be: install supported card (ex. RX5xx), disable iGPU.
  3. Ok, just like I said in the first post. So is the iGPU now history for 10.14.4+? QuickSync is no more?
  4. I got this from your post: Should "Date" not be used? or should it be "BiosDate" in two places?
  5. Success! Thank you! I have been trying with different BIOS settings according to how it was supposed to be set back in the days, obviously, it does not work anymore. This combined with different defaults just made too many combinations to get sorted. I'm just wondering about the internal GFX, do you have it activated? Because for me with AUTO, it is disabled. Yes, it seems to be my BIOS settings that made this upgrade way harder than it actually was... Thanks to everyone helping me! And a special thank you to IronManJFF for the BIOS! Does anyone have their iGPU working on 10.4.4?
  6. I'm comparing Defaults.plist now and I see that you have: <key>BiosDate</key> <integer>0</integer> I'm pretty sure it should be "Date" instead of "BiosDate". It makes me wonder how much that value really matters... I didn't have: <key>EfiVersion</key> <string>281.0.0.0.0</string> So I added that. I also had my "FirmwareFeaturesMask" as a string, so I added your integer instead. Lets see how it goes...
  7. Yes, I used nv_disable=1. I wonder if I can add that to boot-args in defaults instead? Ok, I tried with the defaults posted above and updated values from clover configurator. I will post Defaults again when I'm home. Thank you! I apparently remembered wrong, I meant "BIOS Features" and not System... :S These settings look pretty much like optimized defaults, I have followed the instruction from the wiki and tried changing stuff with init first GPU and UEFI/Legacy for iGPU, but that info might not be applicable anymore.
  8. Thanks, I tried with those settings but I still can’t boot. I got it to boot at one point, earlier, but then I got ”An error occurred while verifying firmware” while installing. Sometimes the bios locks up when certain ssd’s are connected, and sometimes not. It feels extremely random. Can you please show me your bios settings? Especially “System” and “Peripherals”? Edit: did you use Lilu and Whatevergreen?
  9. Hi! I’ve bought a RX570 to be able to update to 10.14.4. But I just get a black screen and freeze when I boot from a macOS USB installer, can you please share your settings? Bios, Efi, defaults, etc? I’m pulling my hair here...
  10. What BIOS are you running? Are you dual-booting?
  11. Ok, after trying to upgrade with attached KernextPatcher and disable_nvflags=1 I rebooted and it didn't even post. Instant lock up and black screen. I got it working again after booting from another drive, getting in to the EFI shell and then booting it from there. Edit: But still on 14.10...
  12. It does not complete boot when I try to upgrade, immediately black screen and after a reboot, boots back to 10.4. *activated notifications for faster replies*
  13. I retired it when moving to mojave.
  14. I'm trying upgrade/install a later version of Mojave. Right now I'm running 10.4. It's working fine. But I have APFS errors and I have a new 500GB SSD that I want to install 10.4.3 (10.4.4 later on if possible). The problem is, as soon as I boot to a Mojave install USB it goes to a black screen. The same happens if I try to update my running system to any 10.4.x update. When updating i followed the instructions to boot to EFI and exec the update boot.efi. I have done the 4 finger salute to make sure that the settings are in effect. I am running the 167X-XMAX-E.ROM. Defaults: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Version</key> <string>1.0.1</string> <key>Date</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Defaults:4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102</key> <dict> <key>BootEntryTemplate</key> <string>$label</string> <key>DarwinDiskTemplate</key> <string>$label $platform.$major.$minor</string> <key>DarwinRecoveryDiskTemplate</key> <string>$label $platform.$major.$minor</string> <key>DisableNvidiaInjection</key> <true/> <key>BiosDate</key> <string>09/17/2018</string> <key>BiosVersion</key> <string>IM131.88Z.F000.B00.1809171346</string> <key>FirmwareFeatures</key> <integer>3759006007</integer> <key>FirmwareFeaturesMask</key> <string>0xFF1FFF3F</string> <key>ProductId</key> <string>Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4</string> <key>ProductFamily</key> <string>iMac</string> <key>ProductName</key> <string>iMac13,2</string> <key>SystemSerial</key> <string>XXXX</string> <key>BaseBoardSerial</key> <string>XXXXX</string> <key>SystemSKU</key> <string>MD095LL/A</string> <key>DisableVoodooHda</key> <true/> <key>UserInterface</key> <true/> <key>TimeOut</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>HardwareAddress</key> <string>XXXX</string> <key>HardwareSignature</key> <string>XXXX</string> <key>ProcessorSerial</key> <string>XXXX</string> </dict> <key>Defaults:7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82</key> <dict> <key>boot-args</key> <string>-v alcid=1</string> <key>csr-active-config</key> <integer>103</integer> </dict> </dict> </plist> Sig is up to date. Any ideas?
  15. I have an i7-3770k with HD 4000 working fine in 10.14. I havn't upgraded since I havn't seen an easy, safe, way to do it from IronManJFF. Until I do I will stay put.
