  1. Haha, I always wondered if anyone else had a quo in Sweden, I've been running mine since launch, it and OZ has been awesome Lycka till med att flasha/byta bios'et, håller tummarna!
  2. Hi all, great work keeping this lovely board going! I am using the specs in sig and this defaults.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Version</key> <string>1.0.1</string> <key>Date</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>Defaults:4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102</key> <dict> <key>BiosDate</key> <string>08/08/2017</string> <key>BiosVersion</key> <string>IM131.88Z.010F.B00.1708080805</string> <key>FirmwareFeatures</key> <integer>3759006007</integer> <key>FirmwareFeaturesMask</key> <integer>4280287039</integer> <key>ProductId</key> <string>Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4</string> <key>ProductFamily</key> <string>iMac</string> <key>ProductName</key> <string>iMac13,2</string> <key>SystemVersion</key> <string>1.0</string> <key>FirmwareVendor</key> <string>Apple</string> <key>ChassisAssetTag</key> <string>iMac-Aluminum</string> <key>SystemSerial</key> <string>XXXXXXXXXXXXX</string> <key>BaseBoardSerial</key> <string>XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX</string> <key>SystemSKU</key> <string>MD095LL/A</string> <key>HardwareAddress</key> <string>XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX</string> <key>ProcessorSerial</key> <string>XXXXXXXXXXXX</string> <key>platform-uuid</key> <string>XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXX</string> <key>AAPL,ig-platform-id</key> <string>0x01660004</string> </dict> <key>Defaults:7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82</key> <dict> <key>boot-args</key> <string>-v kext-dev-mode=1</string> <key>csr-active-config</key> <integer>103</integer> </dict> <key>Defaults:1F8E0C02-58A9-4E34-AE22-2B63745FA101</key> <dict> <key>DisableNvidiaInjection</key> <true/> <key>BootEntryTemplate</key> <string>$label</string> <key>DarwinDiskTemplate</key> <string>$label $platform.$major.$minor</string> <key>DarwinRecoveryDiskTemplate</key> <string>$label $platform.$major.$minor</string> </dict> </dict> </plist> I created a test disk and ran the HS update, it resulted in: kexd stall[0], (240s): 'AppleACPICPU' What more changes do I need to do to update from Siserra to High Sierra?
  3. MD5 differs from my other 167X-MASS sierra fixed BIOS that I downloaded from elviejo's post. Either I had a corrupted download/USB or I mixed it up with the old vanilla version (I can't see how, but It's possible). This one works perfectly, thank you IronMan!
  4. {censored}. Thanks for answering, I hoped it would be an easy fix. I guess I will try to reflash, go over some basic stuff etc but I have no idea how to fix this at it's core Edit: I flashed Tosk's bios and managed to get it to boot to recovery disk and my 10.10 disk. But I still have the same problem with the 10.12. Same thing when trying to boot to the 10.12 installer. I could not use Diskmaker X - it never shows up as a bootable drive, which is basically why I took the upgrade path. But "Install Disk Creator" boots to the AppleACPICPU error. I checked SIP and made sure it was off, sure was. I've also tried different default.plist's, put fakesmc.kext in my 10.12 library and removed my BT + GTX960 - no go. I'm pretty much done. Can't find more things to try. Can someone confirm that the 167X-MASS in the wiki is the Sierra patched BIOS?
  5. Hi! I have been running my quo board for a long time now and wanted to upgrade to sierra. 1. I flashed the new bios (modified x-mass from elviejo), left my working defaults.plist (the one that IronManJFF posted) and SSDT in the EFI. 2. Four finger nvram reset. 3. I started the upgrade from the sierra upgrade app in /Applications. 4. Now it is stuck at the apple boot screen with a beach ball. This is the last output before the apple screen with a loader and a beach ball: http://imgur.com/CL7zUxg Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried to boot to the recovery partition but it suddenly reboot in the boot process.
  6. "A new version of Ozmosis will be released when is ready for release!"Can't help myself thinking of Duke Nukem Forever ^^ Keeping my fingers crossed.
  7. How do you know and how trustworthy is that source? ________ On another topic: At page 101, 102 I was searching a solution to my 8x problem but after being insulted more than helped, I didn't bother to post my workaround to the bug in the bios. If anyone else is having the same issue, here is the fix: I had problems with my GX960 going into 8x mode in one of my pcie slots. No matter what settings I had, nor reflash/reset/clr cmos -bios helped. What I had to do was to put the GTX960 in the pci-e i wanted to use, then reset bios/clr cmos. After that everything went smooth. I you have it in the other pcie while you reset, it won't work.

    GTX 960 PCIe x8

I know it makes very little difference, but I'm not sure how well it runs and which gen it runs. Here's a better pcie bench: http://www.techpowerup.com/mobile/reviews/NVIDIA/GTX_980_PCI-Express_Scaling/15.html Are no one using gtx960?

    GTX 960 PCIe x8

Hi! I have a problem with my MB that forces me to use the PCIe 8x port instead of the 16x. It works fine but I'm not sure if it is performing as it should. If you own a GTX 960 could you run a quick benchmark and tell your score? My score in Tomb Raider 2013 Benchmark is Avg. ~58fps high detail (v-sync) GFXBench GL (Offscreen) (frames) Manhattan: 9755 T-Rex: 28088 ALU 2: 31543 Driver Overhead 2: 814 Texturing: 70802 LuxMark 3 LuxBall HDR: 5475 GpuTest Module: GiMark Score: 4205 points (FPS: 70) Standard settings (1024x640 AA off) Any results are welcomed!
  10. Ok, so lets agree that I don't need the IGPU. I've disconnected the HDMI cable to the IGPU and have the recommended settings in BIOS. The wiki states that display ROM should be UEFI only, and thats how I set it. The Palit gtx 970 VBIOS seems to work well in other hackintoshes x16 port. And my card works without error in my 8x pcie. That makes me think that the VBIOS is ok? Palit also makes Gainward, Galaxy (KFA2/GALAX) and more. It was the largest purchaser of nvidia graphics chips 2 years ago, most likely still is today. I went to: http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/index.php?did=10de-1401-- And had a look at my VBIOS and compared it to MSI, EVGA, ASUS and Gigabyte. They are all extremely similar except for the ASUS, it is very diffrent. I won't refer to it hereafter. The diff among the VBIOSes seems to be at the same offsets more or less on all VBIOSes. Compared to my BIOS, MSI had 35 diffs, EVGA 30, Galax 41, 5x Gigabye 39-41. I could try to change my card to an ASUS or EVGA but it will probably cost me about 50$. Just to be clear, no functions such as AirPlay Mirroring are depended on the IGPU? Or any other feature?
  11. I have been told that I need IGPU to be able to see the booting process. I've had it connected to my single screen using HDMI and the 960 with DP. Does disabling IGPU change anything in terms of functionality? QuickSync works anyway? Unfortunately it din't fix the x16 problem. I did start from scratch, cleared cmos, fresh install of OS X. Everything works except the gtx 960 in the x16 pcie port.

  13. Sorry should have double checked IGPU, it was set to auto when trying the 960 in 16x pcie with all possible BIOS combinations known to man. When I put it in the 8x and changed init first to IGPU + display ROM UEFI only -> save and exit. Later on I realized that it did not "take". Tried a few more times, it was back on auto on every reboot. Next I clr cmos and started from scratch. IGPU setting is now working and HD4600 shows up together with the 960 (in 8x). But to go back to my initial problem, the 960 still refuses to work in the 16x pcie port. In the 8x it works fine. Not sure what kind of results I should be getting but NovaBanch gave me 549 fps in the 3D test. If anyone has any more ideas I'm all ears. I've read and followed the wiki steps, ozmosis github release notes, this thread and the ozmosis thread.

I got it working in the pie 8x port but it won't work in the 16x, I've tried several times. No changes in bios or anywhere else. I'd rather have it in the 16x, when it is in the 8x it blocks all the internal headers. Any ideas? My 5870 works just fine in the 16x.
  15. No change in bios, nvram or anywhere else. I have tried to reseat it in the 16x port several times, it doesn't touch anything but still doesn't work. In the 8x port it works every time... I've reuploaded the dump when it is in the x16 port: https://www.dropbox.com/s/notng21uzunq51w/DarwinDumper_2.9.8_Apple_X64_Yos_niclas.zip?dl=0 Also, is it correct that the hd4600 disappears from system reports when the 960 is connected? https://www.dropbox.com/s/84vsdxrzp5at3ss/Sk%C3%A4rmklipp%202015-04-18%2003.22.05.png?dl=0
