  1. Most ppl have similar problems after updating to 10.5.2 and not deleting the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext continuosly. If restored with the olds kexts, Leopard behaves in that way but I personally don't know why. Try checking the update threads for 10.5.2 if anyone should come up for a solution for that, but most will settle with a fresh install I think. It's kinda strange that it does boot into single user mode but not into the GUI. I don't think it is kext related, but I have no idea what it could be otherwise... ~xOny
  2. can you get into single user mode by -s ?

Analog Devices HD Audio (AD, ADI)

AD 1986A in ASUS A8Js Notebook. All devices detected with the special AD driver of yours, but no sound (at least from internal speakers and stereo out, can't test SPDIF) ioreg.txt

It's only possible to get Speaker output, as of now. There is an installer somewhere in this thread to enable it. Maybe it will work better with the next version of Taruga's patcher...

Try pressing F8 and booting with -legacy.

AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

    V. 1.13, does not work for my 1986A, please tell me if it works for you though! AppleHDAPatcher_v1.13.zip
  7. Thanks for the guide, duplicity! It really helped me with setting up two finger scrolling! One thing: My file was located at /Library/Preferences/com.apple.driver... instead of /Users/xony/... Have you gotten tap-dragging to work, yet?

Yep but I've only tested it on Leopard, don't know if it works for 10.4.8.

I used the ToH RC2 Leopard DVD, which didn't give me a black screen unlike BrazilMac's GM version. The latter seems to install Natit, which kinda messes up the booting process. Even after removal it didn't work for me, couldn't find out why... so I stuck with the ToS release. Hopefully the next Uphuck Leopard will an easy to install final version... Using the kexts on rapidshare worked for me... Edit: Haven't seen em in this thread and think they prolly belong here: http://www.vimicro.com/english/product/Pub...0321_060308.zip Those ASUS folks mounted our webcams upside down! And it's kinda low framerate, at least in Leo...

Hey, yeah it crashes with Chess for example, although the day to day things like FrotRow and stuff do work. Any solutions on this, anybody? Oh and yeah, Leopard plays nicely with NVInjectGo, got full resolution and pseudo QE / CI just like in 10.4.10. It's quite simple to install, but if somebody wants me to post the files just tell me... Anybody had any luck on getting the sound line-out to work? Edit: Oh and BTW Dual Monitor and Rotation do work (occasionally) in Leopard, if you plug in the monitor _after_ startup! Edit2: Files at http://rapidshare.com/files/68983445/A8JsLeopardRC2.zip

Actually, I kinda did... hrm. Oh well, has anyone tried it in Leopard, yet?

Hey MrFuzzemz, the installation-DVD I used was 10.4.10 by mac.nub, but I think any 10.4.10 will work, just don't install any custom kexts that come with them and just bear with the 1024 resolution at first. The modified Natit kext I postet earlier is all you need on 10.4.10. Oh and Jingu, sorry for the typo in your name! And thanks again for your method, nothing else worked for me up to now...

Hi, I used 10.4.10, but I think you can use 10.4.9 if you get the Nvidia kexts from 10.4.10, maybe even without that, but I wouldn't be too sure about that! You don't have to do the EDID part, just drop my kext in the /System/Library/Extensions folder and chmod / chown. Oh and delete the Extensions.kextcache and .mkext before reboot as well, that's it. Lacks dual monitor support thou, but I'm nevertheless thrilled
