  1. Hi, I recently updated my Mac to High Sierra and this setting does not work any longer. When I run the first command I get this error: Domain (/Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist) not found. Defaults have not been changed. What should I do? Thanks...
  2. Yes namvan. It does work the way you have set Vmware Workstation settings. I have this setting already set this way and i am able to apply custom resolutions to Display.
  3. Many thanks. It did work indeed. I am just curious to understand why vmware tools do not take care of this issue. as for "you might need to remove the HiDPI setting" I noticed that this was resolved by using the above codes sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver.plist DisplayResolutionEnabled sudo /Library/Application\ Support/VMware\ Tools/vmware-resolutionSet 1920 1080 Now, I only see 1090 x 1080 resolution in display settings.
  4. Hi, I do not know if this is the correct thread to ask. I run VMware Workstation 14 Pro latest version and latest Unlocker 2.1.1 I downloaded from this site. I run Mac OS High Sierra and all seems to be working fine except video resolution. Even if Mac OS lists two display resolutions (FullHD and 960x540) I am unable to choose FullHD. Anytime I tried to it shows the FullHD display resolution for 2 seconds and then it goes back to the previous one 960z540 Is there a way to understand if I can set up my display to run at FullHD? I hope pictures I attached helps. Thanks
  5. Hi, running VMware Workstation 14 Pro and latest unlocker I installed Mac OS Sierra but I only get "21" 1285 x 768" resolution where instead I have two fullHD 24.1" displays on my PC. Is there a way to higher the resolution of Mac OS? Thank you
  6. I wish to report back: I was able to succesfully install, from scratch, Yosemite 10.10.1 creating a brand new VM just as I desired to. I basically downloaded the full Yosemite app from App Store (from a working Mac), converted it into ISO, installed unlocker, created a new VM, add 'smc.version = 0' to the VMX file in order to resolve the error "VMware Workstation unrecoverable error: (vcpu-0), installed Mac OS X, installed VMware Tools and updated to latest version. I now need to work on getting it to properly run, like make it going faster, remove small lags when mouse move, speed up boot time, and learn more. Thanks
  7. Hi, I run Windows 8.1 and VMware Workstation 11. I wish to be able to create, from scratch, a virtual machine installing Yosemite, latest version. All I have is Yosemite 10.10.1 file I downloaded from AppleStore "Install OS X Yosemite.app" and Unlocker 2.0.4 I do not want to use an existing vm available on the Internet. I wish to learn how to do from scratch. I am missing an ISO file, VM Tools and specs for creating a working VM. Can someone please kindly assist me on this? I tried to google around but really failed to find a dedicated thread on how to install Yosemite on VMware Workstation 11 from scratch. Thank you
