  2. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Did you use the files from the first post? Here is my mach_kernel and com.apple.Boot.plist is in the extra folder, here I let you the whole /Extra folder, I think it is the as in the first post btw. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P94GQEIY

  4. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Did you copy the mach_kernel_atom and the /Extra folder to your HDD? Step 13 - Open up Terminal and run the following command : cp /Volumes/YourUSBdriveName/mach_kernel_atom /Volumes/YourHarddriveName
cp -R /Volumes/YourUSBdriveName/Extra /Volumes/YourHarddriveName If not, boot again into the installer usb open Disk Utility and type both commands in the Terminal or if you say you're able to boot into Macintosh HD via usb do it with it's terminal Ok, I've seen what you did with the Chameleon wizard, instead of directly choosing the Update option you should choose the first option, where it says Boot0fs or something like this, hope it helps!
  5. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I did a double boot with windows 7 following the manual and I installed Lion preparing the usb the long way. Try redoing all the process and reformating the whole HD, can't you boot from the usb either? If not try this, but you surely tried it already: http://davidtse916.wordpress.com/2007/11/19/changing-the-system-language-in-mac-os-x/
  6. Asus 1201N Installation and support

  7. Asus 1201N Installation and support

  8. Asus 1201N Installation and support

You must watch if you formatted the USB with the GUID partition table, hope it helps!!
  9. Asus 1201N Installation and support

Would it be possible to install Chameleon on a usb stick without installing the whole Snow Leopard .iso on it? I don't know what happened and now my 1201N is on a boot cycle... If I could enter in the Windows 7 partition I could be able to fix it from there with MacDrive 8... And what boot file should I put in / ? Thanks!
  10. Asus 1201N Installation and support

I used the 1201Snow installation method. When booting with /Extra/mach_kernel tells me file not found. When I boot with mach_kernel it tells me uuid not found or something like this... Do I really need the usb with Snow Leopard? Because I erased it... Thanks!
  11. Asus 1201N Installation and support

  13. Asus Eee PC 1201N

It happened the same to me but when 8 minutes where remaining. You have to quit the installer and tell it to restart your computer, when the screen turns grey switch the computer off with the power button. Then switch it on again with the USB Stick inserted, and select it pressing ESC on the list. When it starts booting on "Mac OS X install DVD" press space bar, and select Macintosh HD or whatever you have named the Partition with OS X. Once you have booted in run Netbook installer from your USB, select your partition, and uncheck generate DSDT. A folder will be created ("Your computer's name/Extra) This Extra folder you replace it with the good /Extra Folder that you have in your usb, for instance, the one in this thread from meklort for 1201N. I hope it helps.
  14. Asus Eee PC 1201N

Finally I could boot via usb into the Snow Leopard installation, using meklort's /Extra folder and modifying the "com.apple.Boot.plist" so that it boots in i386 (arch=i386). But now I've got a problem, I start installing it and everything seems to work fine, until it says that 11 minutes are remaining. It can be a whole night saying that there 11 minutes left. So I tried to quit the installer and try to boot with Snow Leopard OS but it doesn't load. Any suggestion? Do I have to patch anything? Thanks.
  15. Asus Eee PC 1201N

Hi! I'm new in here and I'm a proud owner of an Asus 1201N. I'm trying to install Hackintosh via usb on my netbook with a retail Leopard dvd. I applied meklort's extras and the Netbookbootinstaller. When I boot pressing "esc" via usb it loads chameleon and I press enter, and then I type: -f -x -v. It seems to boot, but it gets stucked at the grey apple.
