  1. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests PART II

If I remember right, there is several weak points near the battery slot...
  2. HP Mini 311 - Support Questions/Requests PART II

@ Kappy : Neither me or the KiNG asked for the Development Thread to be closed. We're still working and sharing here. Keep your "boot licking" and "couple of children throwing a tantrum", and stay polite to your peers. If we don't want to spend time to support its because the project will not progress. Developing and supporting are two different things. Don't bite the hand that feeds you ! Now a quick support on the project : -You should instal all kexts in S/L/E. You need to get rid of the 2 kexts from the previous RP (FakeSMC and VoodooHDA) and also the Extensions folder and .mkext in Extra. -Forget EFI partitions this is geek stuff, makes it complicated and doesn't help. -If you have 2GB of RAM, use the bootlader from the RP, otherwise, use the one from aikidoka25 (will change soon) -iStat 3 checks the Model ID, so not good for the Mini. Use iStat 2.0 if you want all the sensors. If your system is unstable just backup and reinstall.
  3. Arrivée du Bios EFI avec Sandy Bridge...

Moi j'espère juste que ce donnera un petit coup de boost au boot, car sur des bases comme les X58 c'est triste de voir que les BIOS sont presque plus long a charger que l'OS...
  4. I'm extremely disappointed to read what I've been reading tonight... Shame on you guys, disrespecting someone and being far from polite because you don't want to make (little) efforts and want to be served with ready made packs, self installing from a to z. This is childish. I wish I could select who should have access to the KiNG's work and who should not. I did my packs without installers for that matter. To force people to switch their brain on a bit... dig a bit into the subject. You should be ashamed. And most of you definitely don't deserve to enjoy the fruits of The KiNG's hard WORK. Some do though; some tried hard to develop/edit/fix stuff and improve our Mac OS X experience with the Mini 311. Some just come, download and cry like babies. This is WRONG. When I first started, I was a newbie. This is normal. The hackintosh experience is a game, a hobby. This is not for most of you. You should just buy a Mac, and leave us be. You say you want information, explanations? They are here. We've been sharing for years, you just have to look for it. This is as simple as that. A little effort... That you lazy people don't want to make. Hacking Mac OS is not a commercial thing. It must not be easy. This is a way to learn Mac OS X. I value the input in the project of some of you, and respect you, thank you... as for the others... [...] Don't ask for packs anymore. But if you want to work on developing things and contribute, you're welcome, but that won't happen here. aikidoka25 had some wise words that you guys should meditate on. I would go further, YOU CAN'T BE TAUGHT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO. And if you want to, you know what to do. I came here in 2005. Long time ago. I've less than 1000 posts. I learned, read, tried. And I shared my knowledge as often as possible. I was happy to share with everyone. Now I'm disgusted by what I see... and I'm fed up with spoon-fed noobs. Adieu.
  5. @ andnet : You shouldn't have this delay if you use the patched AppleHDA. @ Tetonne : I've never ever used the EFI partition... but anyway, I'll update the pack.
  6. Just install everything in S/L/E, wait for the cache to rebuild and enjoy.
  7. I've spent some time testing The Kings's DSDT and set of kexts (for a couple of weeks). My mini has never been so stable. I'm sure you'll all love it. However, I'm not really intending to release a new pack based on his work. I would say the rendez-vous point is here now. Almost all you need is here !
  8. Check out 1.1b Based on Chameleon RC5 (Meklort 632) Takes advantage of Chameleon plugins (modules) to get rid of the CPUID kexts and also DSDT GFX injection. I have wake from sleep and deepsleep with 10.6.4 & 5 (without booting verbose), but restart does not work after sleep Provided as is. I have no time for support.
  9. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/120444-how...omusb-with-gui/ Using that you can load .iso stored on the USB stick. I guess it's the simplest way to do what you want.
  10. We'll do... if possible. I really fancy this new MBA 11", despite the price, and the hardware limitations ! Good stuff to come... here is what you can read in Chameleon SVN "hex_editor.h version 610, meklort: Added HDA patching capabilities. Currently disabled untill I add a way for either detection of a codec, or a way for users to specify the coedc" This is a very good news, means that in time we could maybe roll back to AppleHDA to get HDMI audio. I still have a proper DSDT for that...
  11. New BETA available; Retail Pack 1.1a New bootloader by Meklort based on RC5 (loads of improvements) Sleep and hibernation work perfectly on my 2GB Mini.
  12. Guys I appreciate your inputs but please read before you post. Battery estimation is not and as never been accurate. The battery does not support it actually, try in Windows or Linux, it won't tell you any time, unless the driver does it. Also please bear in mind we're working on a cheap Netbook, not designed to work with OS X, so expect few bugs and problems. Some of them can be solved, and some can't (or very hardly). LeMaurien19 your installer should be based on 1.0, which is 1.0c with AGPM, and DSDT fix.
  13. Changes included in version 1.0, which is online. ChangeLog : New legacy for GPU Power Management Edited FakeSMC (to match with MBP5,1) Fixed DSDT Newer Battery Kext.
  14. aikidoka25 : What range errors? Could you post an output? and detail you fixes? 15. You can do if by yourself, I use it and I'm quite happy with it. Te GPU runs cooler that without, and it doesn't affect stability. Apple released the 11" MacBook Air, as predicted. I wonder if is has a Quanta mobo as some said. That might be a bit helpful. If it wasn't so expensive I could go for it, I'm looking froward to seeing how fast the SU9400 and their SSD are going to work...
