Toledo's script here https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC worked perfectly for me. Very nice and simple. I had to set booterconfig and csractiveconfig as arsradu suggested to be able to run the script properly afterwards I changed the configs back and everything works perfectly. Thanks for your help.

Hmm I may have spoken too soon about an easy upgrade to El capitan. It appears the sound is broken. In the system report-> Audio I can see Intel High Definition Audio. But under the sound options in preferences there is nothing to choose under "Selected sound output device". The kext in EFI/clover/kext/10.11 is realtekALC.kext (my motherboard is Gigabyte z87-d3h (which uses realktek ALC892) (clover congiruator has audio set to 1 - unchanged from my yosemite install) It did work previously under Yosemite. (the only other thing is I can hear the speakers pop when I boot up). Any ideas what may be the issue? Thanks. My config.plist http://txt.do/a2hrg

Upgraded all seems ok apart from the nvidia web driver is saying it's not compatible and there is no update? The version is: 346.02.03f01. Anyone else got it working? (using 780ti)

Now I see it in clover configurator - Very obvious now I see it! Thanks for your replies - really kind.

Brilliant thanks - from your comment - "you should not have custom kexts in both places" - Does that mean I should remove the FakeSMC.kext which is is /S/L/E and also in clover/kexts/10.x? Yup I use clover configurator - it's handy. I'm on the 4.24 version but it doesn't seem to have an option (in boot?) for RT Variables -> BooterConfig and CsrActiveConfig. Not a big deal as I can edit config.plist manually.

Just downloading the final version of El capitan after patiently waiting out the beta period. I just wanted to check the key things I need to change from upgrading from a working Yosemite install: I'm on clover version 3259 and my config.plist currently has only: `<key>RtVariables</key> <dict> <key>MLB</key> <string>C07039601ANDD17DV</string> <key>ROM</key> <string>78ca392e 3bb0</string> </dict> I take it I need to add in the two additional keys - booterconfig with string as 0x28 and csractiveconfig with the string as either 0x67 or 0x77. (but if I pick one of those values for csractiveconfig I'll still get some SIP error messages - is that right?) However if I make it 0x11 will those SIP messages disappear? Is the issue with going with 0x11 is that it isn't advisable to copy kexts to /Library/extensions (does that makes things unstable?) I only have a few kexts in EFI/Clover/kexts/10.10. AppleIntelE1000e.kext FakeSMC.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext realtekALC.kext (I take it these need to be copied to the 10.11 folder?) I can see FakeSMC.kext in /System/Library/extensions - but none of the others (are these not being injected?) Do I also need to turn off kext-dv-mode=1 boot option (or is it just ignored now? Any other things to be wary off? Thanks. Setup is Intel core i5 4570 Gigabyte Z87m-D3h Nvidia 780 ti

Here's a challenging question - can you get this to work?

Thanks uname - m gives back x86-64 I have set, both: intel virtualisation and VT-d set to enabled in the bios (having vt-d enabled makes it a very unstable - and often I just get a black screen with a cursor after the verbose output so I have to switch it back for the moment.) Setting arch=x86_64 output in clover boot settings doesn't seem to alter things unfortunately. I probably need to get a log of when it fails to load when I select Vt-d (to help isolate the issue) but the boot.log option in clover configurator just saves the last boot unfortunately, which I can only get to when I turn off VT-d support in the bios. Is there a way to get to the boot log of the previous boot? Or any other ideas where the issue might be. I did notice when I have Vt-d enabled (and boot in verbose mode) then I get a long pause at VboxAdpDrv: version 5.0.4 r102546 (not sure if that is a red herring or not?) Update apparently OS X doesn't support Vt-d (apart from Xserve, mac pro - source). Vt-d isn't needed for docker just Vt-x (differences below) Deleting the VM and resonating docker fixed it. Now docker works great on my mackintosh. Will leave this here in case it's useful for anyone else. https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Overview_of_the_Intel_VT_Virtualization_Features
9. I've been running a hackintosh for the last year which works well. However I now need to have intel virtualisation working with it due to developing with docker (and oracle's virtual box). Even though intel virtualisation is enabled in the bios (and also works in windows on the same machine - I use dual ssd one for windows one for OS X), it isn't working in OS X yosemite and I get virtual box reporting that I don't have an x86 compatible cpu but an i686 one - known to show than intel virtualisation isn't enabled). I know intel virtualisation is enabled by default on normal macs but has anyone got this to work with a hackintosh and how? Is there a way to confirm independently of virtual box that it is/isn't enabled? Not sure if clover can override the bios settings and disable it somehow? thanks, Specs intel i5 - 4570 Board: gigabyte Z87M-D3H OS : Yosemite 10.10.4 clover:3259 (Graphics 780ti)

osxAptioFixDrv error - Boot failed (clover)

thanks for the replies. I managed to get it to work by booting via ##### stick (I know, I know .....) and running clover configurator and mounting EFI, then I saw that the OsxAptioFixDrv was no longer installed ( not sure how). I reinstalled it and now it seems to be working fine.

osxAptioFixDrv error - Boot failed (clover)

I removed the Broadcom card and checked in the clover boot menu -> options for my boot arts , just: -v kext-devmode=1 nvda_drv=1. In there. So no slide=0. Unfortunately removing the card made no difference and I still have the same error. Any other ideas or how best to diagnose where the issue is? Thanks
12. I'm getting an OsxAptioFixDrv error which prevents my Hackintosh from booting. The error states "requested memory exceeds our allocated relocation block". More here: http://imgur.com/OvJQDzy I'm using Clover v2999 to boot. The error appeared shortly after I updated to 10.10.1. Which had no issue at first, so could be a red herring. After getting the error I couldn't boot into the Mac SSD using a seperate clover usb stick (same error). Instead I managed to boot using a ##### stick in safe mode. I managed to correct it initially by then 'mounting' the EFI' with clover configurator (although I got errors that it didn't mount properly so I don't know if I can mount in safe mode?). I could then see that I had no drivers installed (by looking with the configurator, whereas, prior to 10.10.1 update I did). I reinstalled OsxAptioFixDrc and that seemed to fix the error for a day or so. Unfortunately now it's back - not sure why (the driver looks to be installed) and not sure what I did had any impact or whether it was just glitchy? Any idea how to fix this error? Thanks. Hardware (i5 4570, z87m-D3h, 780ti, Broadcom BCM94360CD 802.11ac & bluetooth 4.0 via PCIe adaptor) Software OSX 10.10.1, clover v2999.
