  3. What network cards work?

helle guys, I've searched all through this forum and I can't find an answer for my prob. I got an Asus W5F with 945GM, I installed 10.4.6 from Jas and updated to 10.4.7. My Ethernet wich is a Realtek RTL 8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC wich used to work native from the OSX installation for the last two days is now disconnecting now and then for no reason (the sole modification was the installation of Stuff It Deluxe wich I uninstalled for no result). The only way to get the net work is to reset/unplug the DSL modem and restart my lappy!!! Can anyone could help a complete newbie pls helle guys, I've searched all through this forum and I can't find an answer for my prob. 5. So easy to install that it hurts

JaS , thks for all your work man - that really helped me just one question (I've already red all the forum and the win2osx too but it's a little confused in my mind...) I installed pretty easily with your 1111a SSE3 No NX/DX PPF Patcher but my specs are : CPU Type Intel Pentium 4 630,3000MHz,SSE3,NX,PAE Motherboard Name MSI MS-7046 Motherboard Chipset Intel Grantsdale i915P System Memory 1024 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM) Video Adapter NVIDIA GF6200 TurboCache (256 MB) and an ethernet ADSL modem connect (working well under XP but not in OSX) and I'm not sure that I've got the good patch for my PC I can't acces Network settings in Pref ---> it crashes somewhere I've heard that's due to the wrong patch could pls help me out on that issue? sorry, hope u're not fed up with those same noobie question:) I'm reffering to Tekno post: http://www.win2osx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2083
  6. the simple way that worked for me: (not know if it's the easiest though) XP already installed, made free space after c: for OSX, after the install of 10.4.3 1111, went to Pref - Startup and select OSX, edited /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist and added these lines way to do it: 1. open teminal and type: sudo -s nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist 2.add <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>10</string> quit and restart normaly you shoul have 10s to press F8 and then you got your Darwin bootloader
  7. I do confirm: it works with an ATI X600 Mobility Radeon (only as Vesa 2), so far I got 1024/768 32bits colors All i can give you as advice is : read carefully those forums and use search function (almost everything is there ) For info: I'm completly noob and I got dual boot (XP and Mac OS) installed in my Acer Aspire 1690 Don't give up- keep trying
