Can't change display resolution in macOS Sierra on VMware
11Al replied to XenonKilla's topic in Multi-booting and Virtualisation
I run Yosemite on vmware 10.0.4 on Win 8.1. All run fine, i've just one issue with resolution, but just for boot screen and logon screen at 800X600. On the logoff screen there isnt the resolution issue. I've installed vmware tools but I don't remember version. would there be any solution? -
Perchè Snow leopard viene considerato un riferimento ?
11Al replied to giopere's topic in Insanely Place
Snow Leopard nel mondo Mac ha sicuramente stabilito uno standard di qualità e durata, per quello è ancora considerato da molti il miglior OS X di sempre. Di più non posso dire, perché la mia esperienza con OS X è iniziata da Lion. -
Iniziato da Lion, ora sono con Yosemite. Sempre virtualizzati con VMware.

you need to manually install VMware Tools, pointing to the image VMware tools - Use iso image file - in the virtual cd device, when starting VM OS X. -
For me with VM 10 Mavericks works always in full HD 1920x1080, without installing vmware tools nor VMsvga.

Question: why beamoff isn't needed with Mavericks that instead works like a charm with VMware Workstation 10.

I think before launching Win.install with administrative privileges, you should close all running processes of VMware. -

Exactly my own choice, excellent Yosemite also, with beamoff not slow, but too heavy on HW with fan always to turn. Mavericks instead run very light and smoothly. -
With VMware 10 to get from the starting black screen to the grey VMware screen, taking 2 seconds maybe less.

I confirm with VMware 10 boot time for Mavericks and Yosemite that's.
