  1. Hi All: This has been a great site for Hackintosh support for me. So I post it here after searching online a long time without a clue, and hopefully some could lend some help~. So I am using GA Z170 UD5 with i7 6700K and GT970 Graphics Card. The sound codec is ALC1150. Everything was fine in 10.11.3 After I upgraded to 10.11.4, a strange problem persists. The sound, while is recognized and working (Audio Layout ID 1 only, using either the Clover ALC patch or other methods to reach the same result), has a strange problem that is when playing sound after 2 min, a static started to build up and will eventually swallow the entire sound output. The problem can be solved by resetting the output device channel (e.g. in Audio Layout ID = 1, when Internal speakers is the actual output, we can switch to Line Out 1 or 2 temporarily, and switch back. Audio becomes fine for another 2 min). Sounds to me definitely a driver problems as it is reproducible, emerging gradually and can be reset. Looks like it is not able to using the right setting for the card (like its buffer). So as time passes, the buffer overflows. And causes all kinds of problem. So, do any of you ALC1150 guy have the same problem? should the drivers be updated? All my other settings are standard as required for the sound patches. It is very interesting to know why this happens......(as a driver problem) the sound card is perfectly fine when booted to Windows. So it is not a hardware problem. Or it can be some Bios Setting, or kext interference.. Thanks My Report is included in log.zip (see attachment) It includes: Clover config.plist APPLEALC.kext APPLEHDA.kext audio_codecdetect output bootlog output DPCIManager IOReg.ioreg Apple Device screenshot dsdt log.zip
  2. The images are shown as follows: I have installed Broadcom 20702B bluetooth card with WIFI in the mini PCI . The bluetooth is connected via USB for power. The problem is, while Airdrop works perfectly, continuity and hand off is not responding. I also tried to use the Continuity Activation Tool v2, which only shows: My Board ID and Mac model is not compatible with it. I am using definition 17.1 as suggested by someone else in this forum..(which makes it too new for the tool?). But supposedly this Broadcom card should support continuity natively. So I am confused with what is wrong Thanks for your help!
  3. Once I installed with the best SMBios (like iMac 17,2 ), and get the SSDT, what should I do with he rest SSDT and DSDT? Thanks.... And People are talking about ACPI tables, is it a section inside DSDT?

How to build your own ssdt?

Thanks. But currently it is already Mac pro 3,1. How do I change it? If I change if using configure.plist editor to iMac 17,2, my boot will crash.. (Possibly because I installed drivers for GPU and patched Audio etc). What should I do then? Thanks
  5. I was able to use Clover to boot/install, but before the last step, I heard that it is sometimes necessary for you to compile your own SSDT file. Mine hardware is I7 6700K 32G RAM GA-170X-UD5 970 GPU So I encountered a script called ssdtPRGen.sh. Upon running it, however, it says my Motherboard * CPU combination is not supported. Which is of course the case, as I used SMBios of Mac Pro 3,1. So what should I do from then? Ignore the warning and use the ssdt, or generate the SSDT but do some necessary modification? How about the USB port disabling thing. If it is also related to SSDT, then in which step should one do it? I found the forum amazing! So please help here~ Thanks! (The forum is amazing and its users are experts. But it can be hard for newbies to find a compiled summary of what has been going on...) Some pointers of previous posts are much appreciated !

Clover with Mac skylake CPU support?

I think it has todo with the support of SATA in 170 MOBOs. Looks like 10.11.1 still lacks such support

Clover with Mac skylake CPU support?

does this mean 10.11.0 already has skylake support built in?
  11. It seems today, Apple released new iMacs that are running on Skylake CPUs. It means the current 10.11 has CPU kext. Would this support included in Clover? Thanks. Faster and more powerful than ever, the new 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display now comes with sixth-generation Intel Core processors and the latest AMD high-performance graphics that deliver up to 3.7 teraflops of compute power. The new 21.5-inch iMac with Retina 4K display features a fifth-generation Intel Core processor and enhanced Intel Iris Pro Graphics. Two Thunderbolt 2 ports now come standard on all iMacs and deliver up to 20Gbps data transfer speeds for external drives and high-performance peripherals. And three stream 802.11ac Wi-Fi allows iMac to support up to 1.3Gbps wireless networking.*

    Clover on Z170 Motherboards?

But in Clover r3280 it is saying it supports skylake
  13. I realized there was an update to Clover (r3280) compatible with i7-6700K CPUs. So I downloaded it and created an El Capitan installer USB. I was able to use it in UEFI mode and see the installer after reboot. I also put -v in the args However, after I select "install El Capitan from USB", I see just a line of + signs (like : "++++++++++++++++++++++++++++" ) and the screen halts. The mother board is Gigabyte Z170 UD5 and I also had a GTX 970 GPU (which I think is not the reason since I also tried NV_disable = 1). I tried with and without OSXAptioFixDrv, the result is the same except when with OSXAptioFixDrv, I can see additional lines like "Start overriding for .IABootFiles\boot.eft; Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no " and it will reboot after the "+" sign. So, what does this "+++++++++++++++++++++" mean on the screen and why the system halts? Anything I need to change in the .config or clover? Is it currently compatible with Z170 Mobos? Thanks
