    Old App Store for Mojave

    Version 1.0.0

    417 downloads

The High Sierra version of the App Store that can run in Mojave. According to my tests they can run in parallel, downloads work, access to purchased tab works. You can easily access old macOS downloads. It doesn't need to modify anything on the system. You might have to open the Terminal and xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine <Drag and Drop Old App Store.App> in order to run it * Note: The bundle is named Old App Store.app but it will appear as App Store
  2. Mojave 10.14, doesn't open after osascript execution. I have virtual machine with a version for mojave that i fixed most of the frameworks but it' still not there yet. I did a bit of research and it appears the only way to do it is to mess with DYLD library injection. I had somewhat of a progress and then i got busy with work. I could share that file see if it takes us anywhere. But I am setting up a new machine today with high sierra I will test it further. As a note, if you try to execute it via terminal: dyld: Symbol not found: _OBJC_CLASS_$_NSStatusBarWindow Referenced from: /Users/...../Desktop/Disk Utility 13.app/Contents/MacOS/DiskUtility Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/AppKit in /Users/...../Desktop/Disk Utility 13.app/Contents/MacOS/DiskUtility I followed that chain before and I hit a wall. Thats where the DYLD injection comes in. Disk Utility Mojave attempt (not functional) - The loader is renamed and the original binary is used while testing. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G5Z2j9OzTr5Dx6Iom2LEruKdz2oweY3u/view?usp=sharing All the frameworks are from El Capitan, it seems to be the safest way.

Disk Utility v13 for macOS Sierra.zip

    Version

    11,254 downloads

Disk Utility 13 is back! Requires SIP Disabled To run it you need to Allow apps from Anywhere under System Preferences -> Security & Privacy. To enable this options execute in Terminal: sudo spctl --master-disable Yosemite Disk Utility for macOS Sierra Note: When you launch this version two icons will appear on the dock. This is normal behavior! Debug menu is available to list all partitions and mount EFI. For the nostalgic or the crazy ones ... your favorite version of Disk Utility now works on macOS Sierra. Upon launching you will need to provide password to run the scripts that make things spin. Tested on a fresh install of macOS Sierra, on an actual MacBook Pro (separate machine from the one it was modified on) Verified the following working: 1. Creating an image, restoring an image, converting an image 2. Partitioning a hard drive, erasing hard drive, restoring to hard drive 3. Verifying disk and repairing disk 4. Burning iso to DVD Please proceed with caution, I would like some feedback from people on errors or bugs that might come up. Enjoy!

To be honest I am not sure if there is a higher version of Flat Package Editor, that's the only one I was able to find and it was not working under Mojave. As far as I can tell it is working, at least I was able to use it for what I needed it. You might have to open the Terminal and xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine <Drag and Drop Flat Package Editor.App> in order to run it

    PDFUnlocker

    Version 1.02

    1,570 downloads

A simple app that uses GhostScript to remove the OWNER PASSWORD from pdf files. It doesn't need to install GhostScript on your machine and doesn't need administrative privileges. This removes restrictions like you can't save or print the pdf. It will not work with all pdf files, especially encrypted ones. Supports batch mode. Tested under Sierra.

Flat Package Editor patched for macOS Mojave

It should. Actually I just finished setting a High Sierra virtual machine I will test. It seems to work just fine. Only thing it needs the xattr command.

Flat Package Editor patched for macOS Mojave

    I had no idea.
  8. I had an issue while testing the upgrade to Mojave, where the system would freeze and the HDD light would stay on or I would come back after a few hours and the PC would be turned off. When I switched back to High Sierra the freezing seemed to had carried over which made no sense. Random lock of the system, it could be as often as every 30 mins up to every 16 hours. And mostly while the computer was idle. Following this post -> I checked the BIOS for sata agressive link power management but I didn't find the option and then it hit me. While testing the Mojave switch, I was using multiple spare SSDs and my motherboard would not post. And on the internet they recommended to disable OPROM for the SATA Controller on the BIOS and make the drives Hot Pluggable, which indeed worked. So I went back and disabled Hot Plug feature on the SATA Controller(after I completed the Mojave install) and I haven't had a freeze yet. At the beginning I thought it was the new clover build, Chrome because it would mostly happen while just a video was playing. Hope that someone finds it useful. Usage Drag & drop Disk Utility.app on the icon to patch Description This app will patch a restriction inside the Disk Utility that prevents it from starting in OS X 10.11 El Capitan. In addition it will patch the binary so that debugMode and advanced-image-options are always enabled on the resulting Disk Utility.app without the need to modify defaults. This will allow you to use this version under El Capitan and with a small modification to your USB Installer you can have access to both new and old Disk Utility with the debug menu enabled during install. TextEditDark

    Version 1.9 (309)

    1,180 downloads

I was examining the source code of TextEdit 1.9 (309) and an idea popped into my head. A dark version of TextEdit and in the spirit of sharing I present to you TextEditDark. Now this was done very quickly and it is based on the older version of TextEdit. The latest available version is 1.10 but the code is not available In addition, I added an option under Preferences that if checked when the last window is closed TextEdit will close. This in my opinion will make it work more like Notepad on Windows, which I prefer. Also added a checkbox that if checked will make windows stay on top of all applications have have the opposite effect if unchecked. Since the windows are HUD Panel there is no minimize or maximize button, I would love to find out a way to implement a minimize and maximize button to HUD window if possible. If anyone knows please share The lack of buttons is not a problem for me based on how I use TextEdit. I am uploading it in the hopes someone might find it useful or interesting. All in all, this is a very small modification to Apple's source code of TextEdit. Thanks.

Disk Utility v13 for macOS Sierra.zip

Yes this happened to me and I started working for a way to repair this automatically. Didn't get a chance to complete it since I am recovering from the flu but this is exactly what happened to me. Hackintosh crashed and couldn't execute either of Disk Utilities. I was thinking of implementing it like this: 1. Check if diskmanagementd is Sierra or El Capitan version. Check if more that one files is named diskmanagementd*. 2. Keep a backup of the Sierra diskmanagementd on the contents of the Disk Utility.app 3. Run a GUI before launching Disk Utility with the options to restore everything to default or run Disk Utility, so in the event that it breaks you can use the option to repair. Any opinions? Not sure how to implement version checking without keeping a database of md5 for all current and future binaries.

    TextEditDark

I like Textmate but I still catch myself using Textedit every now and then. The frontmost is a checkbox option if you go to Textedit->Preferences.

Disk Utility v13 for macOS Sierra.zip

The only system file modified(temporarily) is /usr/libexec/diskmanagementd. After you enter the password at the osascript prompt, a script gets executed. The script renames diskmanagementd to diskmanagementd-sierra, copies the El Capitan diskmanagementd to /usr/libexec and executes Disk Utility. When the program exits, the script deletes diskmanagentd (the El Capitan version) and renames diskmanagementd-sierra to diskmanagementd. Thats the only modification to system files. This is done to allow both Disk Utilities to co-exist and work. Note that you can't operate both at the same time. If you want to see the script browse the contents and check the macOS folder. I was/am working on a different version that will be working different way if successful. It still needs a small modification to /usr/libexec but it shouldn't be affecting Sierra at all. I guess under Sierra you can't access encrypted HDDs while this Disk Utility is running because of the modified diskmanagementd. But closing the application reverts any changes made and everything should be back to normal. Thanks.

Disk Utility v13 for macOS Sierra.zip

The only thing that will do that is if you don't have SIP disabled. If the osascript is executing then it must be that it can't execute the sudo command because of SIP. Are you running this on a real Mac? Also rebooting the computer and trying again might help.

Disk Utility v13 for macOS Sierra.zip

Probably System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Allow apps download from It needs to be Anywhere but it's not there by default. To be able to select it open up Terminal and execute: sudo spctl --master-disable
  20. If you look inside the Contents/SharedSupport of this download injectDiskUtility.zip you will find a Disk Utility.app that shows debug menu to mount EFI partitions that works on El Capitan. It also works on MacOS Sierra use this if you like (experimental) Disk Utility v13 for macOS Sierra.zip Thanks.

Sorry for the late response, but did you drop it on the app icon on the dock? That wouldn't work. You have to drop it on the place holder with the monitor and the magic wand.

    Only boots from USB

We would need some more info. Is it legacy or uefi? Is clover installed in the EFI partition? When you boot from the hard drive, on clover settings is the OS 10.11? Can you boot directly from the USB? If yes this is what I would try: DISCLAIMER: Not an expert. Ideally you should make a full backup of your drive with SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner or at least Time Machine. 1. I would backup the EFI folder (it would be either on the root for example Macintosh HD or on the EFI partition which you would have to mount from Disk Utility with debug mode on) 2. Copy the EFI folder from the USB stick to the location of the EFI folder on your drive. (you can only copy the config.plist and any kexts for 10.11)
  23. EVGA SR-2 48 GB of RAM 2 x Intel® Xeon® CPU E5649 @ 2.53GHz Was working perfectly with Yosemite no DSDT using Clover. Upgraded to El Capitan no problems(had to completely remove SLE and copy over contents from freshly installed El Capitan and fix permissions to boot), but now El Capitan reports 24GB of RAM and 9 total RAM slots, 6 populated x 4GB and 3 empty. While troubleshooting, I rebooted back to the USB installer and under system info I also have 24GB of RAM. SMBIOS: Mac Pro 3,1 I attempted to changed SMBIOS but I get KP. While booting I noticed the following: mem_actual: 0x000000000 legacy_sane_size: 0xc0000000 RTC: Only single RAM bank (128 bytes) Currently have audio, usb 2.0 , gfx, firewire, bluetooth and nic working. Not working: USB 3, Incorrect RAM Any advice as to what to try would be greatly appreciated. I already tried to add memory slots in clover but I get a KP (could be doing something wrong if someone and comment on how to do it properly) I attached some screenshots for reference. Thanks guys, good luck to all with their upgrades!
  24. Cool! I also downloaded your dsdts might give them a shot on my rebuild. If you come up with a good working setup please post back.
  25. @critza Since you asked me about the build I figured to make it public so others can benefit. DISCLAIMER: I don't know what I am doing! I use the latest bios, no dsdt, onboard sound and nics don't work. On board sound can work with dsdt or drivers, i had it working once but i can't be bothered. I bought a $10 Vantec NBA-120U USB Audio Adapter and my output is through there. I use the EXPI9301CT nic. You can use the IONetworkingFamilyInjector.kext (I was using this for a long time but it stopped working on further clover updates) or flash your nic using the guide here under Ubuntu and don't worry about it. The GFX is a GeForce GTX 760 2GB, I have web drivers installed. The amount of RAM under Yosemite is detected correctly at 48GB but on the About This Tab->Memory it doesn't show the correct amount of slots occupied. On El Capitan half the RAM is detected at 24GB, and also wrong amount of slots detected. I tried to correct it by adding the memory slots in clover configurator but I get kernel panics. This is the output from kext utility which gives you plenty of info. I have 3 kexts on EFI\Clover\kexts\10.10 FakeSMC, GenericUSBXHCI and NullCPUPowerManagement. The system is pretty stable and fast. I plan to redo it now because I have this 400 Bad Response/Gateway error that I get on all drivers but I can't figure it out. It has never happened before. I was doing some network snooping before it has started happening but i don't think it is related. It could be. I just did a benchmark test while having photoshop, parallels, xcode and a few browsers as well as various programs open with Geekbench I get 1949 single core, 21077 multi-core. In my opinion its a solid system. I have rebuild it a few times, I just copy the EFI folder over pretty much. To create the installer use your preferred method and whatever works to get to the installer. Once I had to install with chimera and then install clover. I get to the installer fine with the arguments I listed. You might have to change graphicsenabler and/or nvda_drv depending on your setup. I hope I haven't forgotten anything, I hope I am not giving bad advice or made any embarrassing mistakes but If I can help even one person it makes it all worth it.
