  1. After I installed this, my Nvidia Geforce 7300 go didn't give me QE/CI anymore. So I'm back to RC1 unless someone has a fix.
  2. VoodooPS2Controller

WOW! This works absolutely great on my Dell Inspiron E1505! Thank you so much for this!
  3. ^Man I want your T7200. I'm sitting on a T2400 over here.
  4. Honestly, I don't see the point. To date, there hasn't been a virus or spyware threat for Mac OS X that wasn't a proof of concept. Until such a point that there is a tangible and significant threat for the Mac, I will never install AV software on it.
  5. Dell Laptops Post-installer - XPS, Inspiron, Vostro, Lattitude

There is a FAR easier way to do this that doesn't involve any third party software. Open up system prefs and go to keyboard and mouse. Once there, click the Keyboard tab and then select the modifier keys button. This will allow you to switch the Alt and windows key easily by switching the option and command keys. You can even change it per keyboard as well.
  6. TSC sync XNU patch

Guys, just install the old 9.4 tsc sync kernel and the associated system.kext and reboot. Problem solved.
  7. As long as it's a Dell branded card with a broadcom chipset such as the 1390/1490/1395 or 1505, you should be fine. If it's intel, it won't work nearly as well as one of those.
  8. Well the 7300 go only has 128mb onboard and another 128 as turbocache. It's the same story with the x1400. Also, for NVinject, check your info.plist file and make sure that your IOProbeScore is 0.
  9. Experimental Intel SpeedStep kext

1.2.1 didn't work for me so I figured I'd try the next version. Lo and behold, I get speedstep now on my e1505 with a tscsync 9.4.0 kernel! Sleep via closing the screen and via the OS is not affected by this, from what I can tell right now. As far as changing between them though, I guess the apps need a bit of work so I just have custom clock set to low speed in speedstep.app and when I need that extra oomph, I switch to high speed. Under low speed, the dock animation seems a bit sluggish but audio from a youtube video plays just fine. This plus the i8kfangui program and the tscsync kernel makes me a cool dual core osx customer and makes this hackintosh run great. Thank you so much for your work on this!
  10. I don't have the kext and it runs fine for me. Just make sure to follow some of the other instructions earlier to load the kext at startup and hide the application and you should be fine.
  11. I don't think so, there's some posts on it already: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=113680 There's a link in that thread that might go to a potential fix. Also the Dell Laptops post-installer seems to have a driver in it as well: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=97966 My recommendation is splurge and get yourself the Dell Wireless 1505 card as that should work flawlessly, although you could pick up a 1390 or a 1490 for $10-$15 bucks on ebay.
  12. Actually, the most recent post in the thread here has some pretty good tips of how to get it running so that the kext and the application loads in the background. Once that's done, it does work. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=838828
  13. Just found this little slice of awesomeness: http://potatosaladx.blogspot.com/search/label/I8kfan
  14. Also if you're having problems with the fan, try deleting the thermal kext. OS X seems to run hotter in general though. BTW, I am another happy customer of the dual core kernel. Drag and drop and it works great!
