Wow, my good friend Maldon! How are you sir?

I tried replacing with your new clover and it STILL reboots when wake from power button, mouse or keyboard. Allan has been nice enough to help me so there's been lots of changes so below is my current RUNME results just in case something changed.

The mac OS 10.13 really had break the Sleep function...that's why I still in macOS Sierra too

IMO it's not useful for your hardware.

Haha... yes, I just might have to keep it Mac OS Sierra. Well thank you for all the help. I was looking to see if you have a link to your PayPal so I can send you a little something for all the help but I couldn't see anything. Where can I find your PayPal link?

    Try this: DSDT.aml.zip

Maybe your Hack will be wake only via Power Button.

Unfortunately no luck with that DSDT. Power button or moving mouse or keyboard still reboots on wake.

With 10.12.5 that I upgraded from sleep works properly so maybe it's something with High Sierra. I thought I read something about InjectAllUSB for sleep but I may be wrong or maybe its for different hardware.

I still have the 10.12.5 working hard drive if you want the files from that if you think it might help.

Don't worry, the DSDT will be the same even if you change your macOS version. ;)

DSDT will only change if you upgrade the BIOS, doing that you'll have new tables, everything will be new.

OK that's good news and important info on BIOS. I tried the DSDT but it is still rebooting on wake. But like I said, I ruined my Sierra 10.13.4 drive and had to redo it this morning. I am not a pro and I'm not sure if all the files/kexts/.plist, etc are still the same.

Can you take a look and see if everything is OK on this new install. I put your DSDT in but it still reboots when it wakes.

  6. Updated to High Sierra 10.13.4 from 10.12.6 and everything seems perfect EXCEPT when the computer goes to sleep... when I move the mouse to wake it the computer reboots.

Anybody have any ideas? I would sure appreciate it.

I also put back the RX460 4GB that was working with USB 3.0 and USB 3.0 still does not work. So I guess me swapping cards wasn't the issue. Any ideas? For some reason USB 3.0 just stopped working :(

  8. Hello Maldon, I hope you're having a good day!

My USB 3.0 stopped working. Only thing I changed was video cards from a RX460 4GB to a Nvidia 740 4GB. Not sure if that's what made the USB 3.0 stop working or not... my mistake for not thinking. You sent me a DSDT when I upgraded to 10.13.4 and my USB 3.0 stopped working and it worked great.

I was hoping you can take a look at my RunMe Files below:

Thank you Maldon. USB 3 still working great. As far as sleep goes with that DSDT when the computer goes to sleep it immediately powers itself back on. I researched it and I think its because of my Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler has a data cable that is causing it to wake it back up. I've read where you can disable the H100i port in a SSDT-UIAC but that is well beyond what I can do.

Ran a couple of test that show possible sleep issues:

    • pmset -g log: Idle sleep preventers: IODisplayWrangler
    • pmset -g assertions: IODisplayWrangler
    • log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason”: XHC

I have my EFI and RunMe results below if that helps:

Thank you Maldon. I tried your DSDT and USB 3 NOW WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!

The only other issue I am having is when the computer goes to sleep it will not wake by pressing a key on the keyboard or moving the mouse... but pressing the power button on the computer will wake the machine. I hope you can help.

I would like to PayPal you something for ALL the help you have given me and others, it is greatly appreciated!

What a wonderful guide Maldon... you sir are the King!

I have successfully installed High Sierra on my GA-Z170XP-SLI and everything is working except the Audio Line Out. Funny thing is audio works on my HDMI TV but not on my Line Out green connector on the back of the computer. Also in sound preferences I have 2 line out options, I tried both with no luck.

    MY SPECS: 17,1 SMBIOS, GA-Z170XP-SLI, i5-7600k, Asus RX460 4GB Graphics

    THANKS MALDON!!!!!!

Never Mind... I figured it out. I was using the Green connector in the back, on this motherboard it is the orange connector.

EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE!!!!!! Thanks for all you do Maldon!
