Device HDEF + AppleAlc + Lilu

Hi Maldon, great guide! I got my old Dell 780 (LGA775) running High Sierra 10.13.4 nicely, thank you!

I have no audio and I see where you mention "Device HDEF + AppleALC + Lilu". I have AppleALC + Lilu in my KEXT folder but not sure what "Device HDEF" is.

Also when it goes to sleep it takes like 2 minutes to wake. I have a Q9400 quad core + Nvidia Quadro FX580 but don't have a DSDT for it. Can you help me with a DSDT?

    Here are my RunMe Results

No, u can use same file, CPU is just a PlugIn type and video i apply a Name _SUN ;)

You make it sound easy because you know EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW!

But I don't know where PlugIn type is or where or what the heck Apply a Name _SUN.

You are way to smart and I can't keep up!

Do you have links on DSDT and SSDT tutorials? I would love to learn!

    replace DSDT

    DSDT.aml.zip

and replace UsbInjectall too, use this version

    USBInjectAll.kext.zip

Of course that worked... Maldon touched it!!!!! :)

    Thank you very much Maldon!

Question on the DSDT: If I change/upgrade my video card or CPU does the DSDT have to be changed?

Hi Maldon. I just realized when I insert a USB (2.0 or 3.0) it says "USB Accessory Needs Power" (see pic below)

work in internal speaker and if u connect one fone, change ato in some layout ids

    MaLd0n 2018-04-15 às 02.20.11.png

    I don't think I understand 100%.

When I select Internal speaker I don't get any sound. I haven't tried headphones but I will buy some in the morning.

I'm not sure what you mean by "change ato in some layout ids"

    Thank you Maldon

u can check in system preferences sound if audio onboard appears there and change

    MaLd0n 2018-04-15 às 02.16.04.png

Yes... that is where I checked every time I injected a new number then rebooted. HDMI, Digital Out and Internal Speaker shows in most injection numbers but never the Line Out Green.

use my folder, but replace DSDT, use it

    DSDT.aml.zip

Yes, that DSDT worked great! I have audio HDMI, Internal Speaker & Digital Out... but I don't see line green out for speakers I plug into the green rear output.

I am using 5 inject in cover configurator. Should I try different inject numbers you suggested earlier (5,7,11,12,13)?

OMG, yes PM was working LOL. I don't know how you know this stuff!

I will try the Audio injects you suggested.

I used your Cover folder you just sent. When I rebooted none of my USB's worked.

    Thanks Maldon!

  10. Absolutely perfect guide, thank you!

I just installed 10.13.4 and got almost everything working instantly.

Only 2 things is Power Management and Audio as the guide says DSDT work for both (see below) and I still don't know how to do DSDT work yet. :(

    The Guide says

    • Power Management: 4 Generation+ Intel Processors, use PluginType=1 in DSDT, SSDT or Clover config.plist
    • Audio: Use DSDT + AppleAlc

I was wondering if someone can take a look at my RunMe results and help me with DSDT/SSDT for Power Management and Audio.

Specs: Mac OSX 10.13.4, HP Pavilion 550-036, I3-4170, Intel HD Graphics 4400

let me know if u found a solution

OK so far I have tried Darkwake

    =no

    =0

    =1

    =2

All of them get me stuck at clover boot with a kernel panic shown below. I haven't tried the rest of Darwakes 3, 4, 8 or 10 but I will if you think I should keep trying.

Also, I'm still not sure if and how I need to add a new RTC to the DSDT like you mentioned earlier or if I can skip the new RTC.

    ye, use DSDT_PTS.zip

check if this option solve reboot after sleep

    MaLd0n 2018-04-14 às 00.40.26.png

OK, yes I do NOW have the 3rd option you show in red selected. Something VERY interesting... the fans are off completely but the power button is still solid. I guess you could say sleeping with one eye open? LOL

But... I moved the mouse to wake it and it rebooted again.
