  1. Thanks man! I am getting old, I was still fiddling around with nvda_drv=1, not realising that that is outdated now.
  2. I reset the BIOS, reflashed it, flushed the NVRAM, but in the end only OsxAptioFixDrv-64 + Test2-2016 proved stable. So now I can boot again, only my GTX1070 is no longer recognized, so I am now working on a 1024 x 800 screen instead of 3840 x 2160.... I have the Nvidia driver installed and selected, but after reboot it always reverts back to the crummy MacOS drivers with low resolution. I am probably going to try a fresh install on a different disk and see if that works, but if you you have any suggestions on the graphics issue, I’d lve to hear it.
  3. From the forum we do not mention here: "Yes the OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi is the only one that works for me.I've tested AptioMemoryFix.efi, OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi, OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi, OsxAptioFix2Drv-64. Always stuck at allocation error.". Apparently that is specific to the (MSI) X299.
  4. Hi KGP-imacPro, Sorry, I should have mentioned that I am using AptiomemoryFix.efi. I had tried OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi as well, but that gave similar result. This is the screen I am getting when booting the upgrade installer or the full 10.13.6 installer. I have also enclosed my EFI folder. The Clover I am using is 4449, but I get the same with 4617. If you can have a look at the EFI folder, I'd really appreciate it. Vielen dank. EFI.zip
  5. Wow, what a breeze after years of struggling with a X79 board! All I had to do for my MSI X299 board was to set npci=0x2000 and the installation went in one go! AppleALC did not work, but VoodooHDA does the trick for me. iStat menu works with the exta kexts, but the cores are numbered oddly: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 18. Apart from that small detail: excellent guide!
  6. Thanks a lot, everything running smoothly again!
  7. Thanks, I will update Lilu, AppleALC and IntelGraphics. What does Shiki do?
  8. I just ran into this KP with Lilu 1.1.1. I had 10.12.6 running smoothly with your instructions, but patch 2018-001 killed my system. What version(s) were you running?
  9. In post #325 you also mentioned a change in config.plist and (temporary) changes to ig-platform-id. Are these still needed?
  10. Just out of curiousity: why have you added the GT 710? The on board graphics of the CPU should be much faster than this golden oldie GPU: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GT-710-vs-Intel-HD-530-Desktop-Skylake/m21096vsm33102
  11. It really was a mistake (of course). I reinstalled the non-spoof version and now I can boot again from the SSD. In hindsight, I think it was a kernel cache issue. I am now getting 800MB/sec write speed and 900MB/sec read speed. Not bad for an old X79 horse. Thanks for creating this great package!
  12. I'm pretty sure I made a mistake.... Could not find the guide you were referring to, but I have attached the ioreg and the EFI folder. Is that enough? WillieMacPro.ioreg.zip EFI.zip
  13. Hi Rehabman, I tried this on a pretty clean install of 10.12.6 but still can't see the NVME drive (Intel 750). I tried with both spoof and non-spoof, S/L/E and inject, different versions of Clover... I had this drive working as a boot drive with the original PikerAlpha patch in config.plist (so not with HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_6.kext) but for some reason this was very unstable, not sure if it had to do with the patch or something else. So I then made a clean install, applied rampagedev DMG, but I have to run that with NullCPUpowermgmt and all kexts in clover/kexts instead of S/L/E or the system will panic. With AppleIntelCPUpowermgmt the system always panics. With the spoofed HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_6.kext the SSD controller shows, but no drive. According to kextstat IONVME family is loaded, cannot see the HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_6.kext though (not sure if it is supposed to show?). Any tips?
  14. Hi MaLd0n, I have been struggling with the update to Sierra for a while now. I've updated from 10.10.5 to 10.12.6 using Rampagedev's DMG. I do run into issues though: AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement always causes a panic so I had to remove it. After that, I get panics during boot at different stages. It usually takes 2-3 reboots before things get stable. Once I am fully through the login process, the system works without a glitch. My config: GA-X79-UD3 (patched to recognise NVME at boot) i7 4930k (no OC) MSI GTX1060 3GB with Nvidia 378.05.05.25f01webdriver Intel 750 NVME PCIe SSD boot drive using Pikeralpha's patch to use NVME I had the same issues before I installed the NVME drive. I did an upgrade from 10.10 to 10.12 but I get similar issues on a clean install. Can you help me out here? Toms MacPro.ioreg.zip EFI.zip Send me Toms MacPro.zip
