I do not use the patcher dosdude1 for my hackintosh, the patcher is designed for real mac, it installs kext and things for real mac!
No one has successfully have the GeForce and Intel kext load on the beta 8 with our hackintoshin IN S/L/E  even my package legacy video for Beta-8  does not work and that's why I did not put it on github available.

    How are you doing?
    Good thanks.  Yourself?

Have you tried the Dosdude's Patched Catalina installer for the M1530?
Yes, Catalina patcher v1.4.3 working well for installing macOS 10.15.4 on the XPS M153...

Would this bring back functionality for our Ethernet, Wifi, battery and GFX in Catalina?
Mostly OK for Wifi (using BCM4321fix kexts) and GFX in Catalina but no ethernet with MBP 7,1 SMBIOS and can’t confirm battery indicator working (my battery expired years ago, running on AC power).

Have you also tried OpenCore as an alternate to Clover or does our Laptop work better in Clover.   Either way would ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin for our LPC device still fail for CST even in Open Core?
Yes, Opencore 0.5.8 works well as an alternative to Clover for booting macOS/Windows/Linux.  Also LPC device will still fail for CST, even using Open Core.

Advantages of OC:  Very fast boot and optimisable.
Disadvantages of OC:  More difficult and technical for newbies, still in beta phase (no GUI themes out of the box).  Can cause Windows activation issues if your Windows is OEM activated.

    Hi guys.

Major update for all those with BCM94321 wifi cards - @parrotgeek1 and @dosdude have posted a solution that makes the card function normally in High Sierra and Mojave (tested in 10.13.6 & 10.14.3 .).

Install the attached kexts into /S/L/E and rebuild caches et voila!...

PS @dosdude also managed to get graphics acceleration working in the latest 10.14.4beta4 (with a non-Metal legacy GPU) in this post.  I will test when the official 10.14.4 release comes out...

It just stops booting at that point nothing wrong with USB because the other drive has Catalina on it and it boots just fine.   I also have a second Catalina installed onto 2nd volume of first container and first volume of 2nd container.   I have to try this instead I have been using boot0af forever with legacy bios, never tried boot0ss, and maybe now with new APFS need boot0ss?.  Are you using the legacy only clover installer or the latest clover package that allows for legacy settings?  During clover install you chose boot0ss then reboot then in terminal ran dd command?  What if I have a second container what would the command be for that, just change to "&& to boot1s1' for example?  Is there a new thread going on about this with new APFS and legacy boot would like to get more information on it.  Thanks!

I have no issue, just dd boot0ss to disk0 && boot1f32 to disk0s1 with Legacy (GPT + EFI). Having 2 macOS(es) inside APFS Container: Mojave 10.14.6 + Catalina 10.15 and they're able to boot. Not really sure with IOUSBHost issue, OS version specific may be? I remember still need "FixOwnership" under Device if booting Clover Legacy (I use patched ACPI for USB btw)

Patch Catalina or Mojave macOS Installer App for Unsupported Machines

Often for economic reasons, Apple prevents the Installer.app for its latest macOS from installing on older machines perfectly capable of running it eg macOS 10.14 Mojave on Unsupported Macs Thread.

In Mojave 10.14, @ASentientBot posted a method to patch the distribution file in OSInstall.mpkg to enable the Mojave installer to install on unsupported machines (with or without graphics card metal support).

In Catalina 10.15beta, the above method no longer works since Apple is checking OSInstall.mpkg for its file signature and the mandatory requirement in Catalina to install to 2 separate apfs volumes necessitates using the original Catalina macOS Base System Installer.  Fortunately, it is still possible to substitute High Sierra’s Apple Signed OSInstall.mpkg inside the Catalina or Mojave InstallESD.dmg by making it R/W.

The procedure below will allow Macs or Hacks able to install High Sierra to also install Catalina or Mojave (eg SMBIOS MacPro5,1, iMac11,3, MacBook Pro7,1 which have been unsupported in macOS 10.14.x and 10.15beta) -credit to @ASentientBot's post.

    Prerequisites
    1. Mac or Hack capable of and running High Sierra 10.13.x
    2. An original, untouched copy of OSInstall.mpkg from High Serra InstallESD.dmg - attached OSInstall_10.13.6.mpkg.zip save to your ~/Downloads folder
    3. macOS Installer App eg for Catalina beta or Mojave downloaded to /Applications
    4. Add NVRAM boot arg (or Clover config.plist boot arg on a hack) -no_compat_check to enable system to boot to final completed Mojave or Catalina install.

    Procedure
    1. Open Terminal and type the following

open /Applications/Install*/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg (assuming the Catalina or Mojave Installer App is in /Applications)
    2. Open Disk Utility, click File|New Image|Image from ‘InstallESD”
    3. Save as read/write image, no encryption in /Applications
    4. Unmount InstallESD in DU by clicking the "eject" icon next to it

    5. Open the R/W InstallSD.dmg in /Applications and replace Catalina’s/Mojave's OSInstall.mpkg with High Sierra’s version by typing in terminal

    open /Applications/InstallESD.dmg cp ~/Downloads/OSInstall_10.13.6.mpkg /Volumes/InstallESD/Packages/OSInstall.mpkg
    6. Unmount InstallESD in DU by clicking the "eject" icon next to it
    7. Replace original Catalina/Mojave InstallESD.dmg with our patched one, making a backup of the original.  In terminal, type

    sudo mv /Applications/Install*/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg /Applications/InstallESD_orig.dmg sudo mv /Applications/InstallESD.dmg /Applications/Install*/Contents/SharedSupport/
    8.  Test the newly patched installer!…

MY problem solved with LCD brightness.  WEG alone does not take care of this for Laptops that have only Nvidia GTX and Intel integrated graphics disabled.  We still need AppleBacklightFixup and WEG alone does not work.  We still need WEG obviously, but whatever code is in ABF needs to be included in WEG for future releases for NVIDIA support.  I was able to get ABF to work again with a bootflag to run on unsupported software such as Beta Catalina so once the final version of Catalina is released it will work without this flag "-applbklbeta hopefully.  We need future release versions of WEG to support exactly what ABF does for Nvidia GFX, and not just Intel.

Maybe format only the Catalina Volume leave the Data one alone, I'll try that and install fresh.

Ok the update through Settings Update went fine.  Maybe its the full download and update from that installer that I am having a problem with?

So its puts the installer onto the Data Volume but does not want to boot to that volume wants to boot back into Catalina without continuing the install.  I have to choose the Data Volume from Clover GUI to continue and complete the installation.

I know its been a long time since this post but had question about my processor E5-2697v2 Ivy Bridge 12 core.  This is the same processor you can upgrade the real MacPro6,1 trashcan to . Would you know offhand if this processor is natively supported by XCPM or AICPUPM?  I have an Asus X79 Sabertooth MB with that processor and although CPUPM seems to be working fine, X86PlatformPlugin loads and CPUPM is handled by AICPUPM and if XCPM is used natively on the real mac I am at a complete loss as to why it does not launch for my CPU?

    Edited Next Day:

I got the answer looks like the real MacPro6,1 is natively using AICPUPM kext and not XCPM, Ivy Bridge-E
