  1. Dont feel that wasted your time. Im glad you explained that because i was confused about how the EFI partition didnt show up in mavericks until after i installed clover. I will do what you suggested and get back to you. Thank you very much for the help so far!
  2. Sorry i do have Mavericks installed right now, i dont have yosemite yet though. my bad i failed to mention that. Maybe i should go through the whole process of creating the USB drive for a third time. Okay so i just reinstalled clover on the USB drive and heres the link to my EFI folder https://www.dropbox.com/s/n0l55vpm1tx1uld/EFI.zip?dl=0
  3. I dont have OSX installed yet. i am still trying to boot the installer. And its alright i understand that your trying to help other people too. I didnt find the EFI folder. What would you suggest i do?
  4. After following the guide im getting stuck when trying to boot the installer. It loads clover and then when i select "Yosemite Installer" it says it found the device ID then the screen goes black and the laptop restarts. You said to look for an EFI folder and share that with you but i am not seeing that folder in the root directory of the installer. I only saw a EFI-Backup folder that was empty.
  5. Thanks to Ahmed Salah AIS, who has helped me resolve this, i now have a fully functional touchpad. If anyone is having troubles with the touchpad make sure you follow the guide from here: https://github.com/R.../How-to-Install. Also make sure you do this: (if you used myhack to install OSX) Open /S/L/E and look for myHack.kext (this is the one causing you all the troubles but don't delete it!!). Right click on it and select "Show Package Contents" You should find a folder called "Contents", inside it open "PlugIns" folder. You'll see few kexts, take out ApplePS2Controller.kext and AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext Now you can install the required kext without issues (I hope) All of these instructions i credit to Ahmed Salah AIS. i am just posting them so it will benefit others. Thanks to everyone who has helped me on this forum!
  6. Hello, I tried the kext file you included but i get these errors after booting with -v and opening the terminal and typing: "sudo dmesg" Kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad failed to load (0xdc00800e). Failed to load kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Trackpad (error 0xdc00800e). Kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard - library kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Controller not found. Can't load kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard - failed to resolve library dependencies. Kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard failed to load (0xdc00800e). Failed to load kext org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.PS2Keyboard (error 0xdc00800e). I hope someone can help, i would really love to have a fully functional touchpad. Thanks everyone for the help so far btw
  7. Hey guys, has anyone been experiencing an issue where after booting the wifi and bluetooth are not available but then are available and work after rebooting once or twice? btw i picked up a broadcom wifi card so thats why i do have wifi. perhaps its the kext i have installed, im not sure. i would really appreciate any help! thanks!
  8. I am wondering the same thing. I am still working on power management and i think its doable, but the touchpad i dont think is possible to get working. ive tried a buch of the elan touchpad kexts and some synaptic ones and have not gotten it working properly. it will let me move the cursor but will not let me click.
  9. Thanks guys, i got it working after following this guide: http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/4668-lenovo-y410p-y510p-unlocked-bios-wlan-whitelist-mod-vbios-mod.html Right now i am just having trouble with power management. When i get to 3% the laptop just shuts down. Also sleep and reboot do not work. The touchpad click will not work, i have to tap to click, which is unfortunate, because tapping and dragging will not work properly. Have any of you guys figured out getting sleep and reboot to work? If so please point me in the right direction, and thanks for all of the help thus far!
  10. im getting a "unauthorized wireless card" message on boot after installing the card you suggested. I posted about it and people are saying i need to flash my BIOS. did you do that? if so can you please help me ASAP? thanks -ka05

  11. Thanks for the response, Unfortunately i think your right, i did a few hours of research and i have to remove the whitelist on my bios :/ This is extremely disappointing. eblohm93 told me to buy that card when i messaged him since he claimed that his was working in his post on page 3: Got it working! Thanks for the guide! Even got wireless working, but that's because I picked up a Broadcom card instead of the stock Intel card. How did his work but mine wont? It is the exact same card
  12. Thanks for the help "useletters". I got everything working except the touchpad and wireless card. I still haven't gotten the touchpad working yet even after reading through all of the posts on this thread. :/ To fix the WIFI I bought a "Broadcom BCM4352." After i installed the card and booted up, i got past the lenovo logo and then an error comes up that says "unauthorized wireless card install, please remove and restart." I hope someone can help, i am extremely frustrated, especially after spending a decent amount of money on that WIFI card.
