  1. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Taruga, I've updated my signature. Happy now?
  2. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Yes, Mic is working real fine. I'll try HDAudio.kext as soon as I get my hands that Toshiba. It's my girlfriends and she loves it. Thanks
  3. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Sorry Taruga. Tested it first thing thing morning. The first kexts didn't work. No sound or volume controls. The second one is great! I finally have sound on my Asus F3JC. You made my day, man! A friend of mine, with F3JC also, reported sound working. But no sound coming out of the headphones... (same here) but, who cares! We got SOUND!!!!!!! PS. Do you think it'll work with ALC861 on Toshiba A100? I got it to work with Azalia. I think it is recognised as an ALC880 or something on linux, but on Toshiba's site it is said to be an ALC861. We are going over to Paypal. You deserve it! Thanks! Taruga: Thanks for your report, I can only improve things if I get reports (good or bad). I don´t have a way of testing as I only have alc882, so you all are my testers. And much has been done until now this way. JJDuro also reported the same problem with headphones, I will try to fix it later as I have a lot more to do before it. Do you have mic working ? As for the Toshiba, if you can try the HDAudio.kext I have on other thread (there are instructions there) it will report the correct vendor and model I need.

Is there any hope doc? I'll be waiting.. as usual. Thanks
  5. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Hi Taruga, first of all congrats for your alpha ALC861. This is the first time I have any output devices listed on my system properties. The volume control is grey and I get no sound, so I must assume I'm doing something wrong. What can I do to make this work? I had a similar problem with ubuntu Linux and had to edit some files to have sound. Do I have to do the same here? Thanks PS I have a Asus F3JC laptop with subsystem ID 0X10430000. Hope this helps.
  6. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Sh*t! Sound is the one thing I need to have a laptop good enough to show off to all my Windo$e lover ars*hole friends. I don't want to be very pessimistic about this, but this forum is full of devices that are waiting for drivers for about... forever.
  7. AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Hi Taruga, for what I've read, it seems you returned to active duty on the quest for good sound on OSX, after trying to help jjduro with his F3Jc ALC861 - I have the same model - but it also seems that, after your sucess with some versions of ALC861, the work on F3Jc has stopped. Is that so? Did you managed to help jjduro? I'm really new on this OSX stuff, but I'd realy love to have some sound comming out or my laptop. Do you need any help? I have two weeks before classes start again and not much to do until then...

Any work on that subject? Is there a HDA driver for it?
  12. Install on Toshiba A100-208

A friend of mine has the same problem. I think that is a problem with low end hardware. Very uncompatable! Maybe you can find an answer on uphuck's forum
