[GUIDE] Dell Latitude E6410 Nvidia El Capitan Clover [ENG]

I am very interested in getting high sierra working on the e6410. Love this machine. Only thing that bothers me is it’s a dual core i7. Not exactly great for video production but still pretty decent.

Hey has anyone tried to do this exact build with sierra?

LiquidKenpachi - Sounds like your clover install is not complete. Follow the steps exactly on what to check off in clover installer and be sure to select the new Sierra drive. I installed sierra on one of my partitions on my macbook pro, loving what I see so far.

Blaggah, follow the steps at the beginning of the guide that duduclx drew up. As long as your E6410 has the nvidia GPU, I'd say it's perfectly doable. I totally doubted at first, but once I saw the apple glowing on that dinky dell, I knew it was possible. There were some hickups for me, keyboard and trackpad didn't work at all at OS X install stage, no issue I just plugged in a mouse and keyboard. In the end it all worked, but I ended up spending $10 on a broadcom wifi card off amazon. It's doable, don't be afraid!

Thanks for all the guides. I got the audio to work, running 10.11.5. I have to say, the E6410 is an impressive little machine, but its trackpad and clicker are it's Achilles heel. I'd say it's the worst thing in terms of hardware on this laptop. But it's a fantastic value for anyone trying to hackintosh an i7 or i5 processor laptop.

duduclx - thanks! I am typing this from my newish oldish E6410, all is working except audio. This is so amazing. I only spent $80 US on this thing, and moved my 8gb ram from my old beater C2D macbook pro. I call this an upgrade. Except for the audio, but I'll get there. I have other hackintoshes in the house, but this was my first laptop.
  7. hi, this is exactly the same issue I have. I have an A11 tecra i7 with the same card. Same deal. Works fine when I connect to an external. Can't specify the display in bootloader. Ever find a solution?
