  1. Weird VPN problem on Mavericks 10.9.5

upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.1... problem solved
  2. I just updated Mavericks from 10.9.2 to 10.9.5. Added a VPN and tried to connect, connection was made but it went offline after a few seconds. The weird thing is that not only the VPN connection was lost, but also my router. The router's connection was totally down, my cellphone and iPad were disconnected from WIFI. And then I switched to Windows, the yellow mark is on the network icon, no connection as well. I tried this a few times, same thing. The connection came back automatically in about 5 minutes. So I just don't get it how could OS X mess up with my router, a hardware? This has never happened to me on 10.9.2. Anyone ever seen this problem?
  3. well, after hours of testing, I finally found that the problem was caused by hiding my BOOT partition (Grub2, fat32). parttool hd0,1 hidden+I remember I had this command before, not sure why it's causing problem now. But anyway, everything works fine after removing it.
  4. Hello everyone My Mavericks has been booting from Grub2 and running perfectly on my PC for a year. A few days ago I wiped and re-partitioned my hard drive, and re-installed all the operating systems. Mavericks was installed just like before and can be booted from USB drive without any problem. But when I tried to boot from Grub2, I first got a ramdisk/preboot.dmg error (after choosing OS X from Grub2 menu) and then a AllocateKernelMemory error (after choosing OS X from Chameleon menu). parttool hd0,1 hidden+ insmod hfsplus set root="hd0,5" multiboot /boot------------- SOLVED!!!
  5. I finally managed to successfully install Mavericks (10.9.2) on my PC, everything worked fine. I thought it would better to make a backup of the system like what I did with Mountain Lion. So I created a dmg with CCC. But when I restored the system with Disk Utility, I got a boot1 error. I'v tried the boot1h method, it didn't work. I booted into Mavericks with Chameleon CD, and reinstalled Chameleon, still no luck. Since I have Windows installed on my machine, I'v always booted into systems directly with grub4dos. Restoring Mountain Lion the same way has never resulted in this error. Does anyone have any idea what I should do to fix? Thanks for any input.
  6. [Solved] Help with ADI AD2000b on Mavericks

This works great on 10.9.0, but breaks on 10.9.2. I'm using VoodooHDA 2.8.4 instead now, but it generates too much noise. What should I do to make it work on 10.9.2? Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2 Audio: Onboard ADI AD2000B
